I love looking at you. You always take it up a notch. You challenge me to think outside the box especially with your creativity. Thank you. I really love your ideas.
Just started following you, HI 😊, love love love your concrete vessels, I made my 1st one yesterday, still get so excited over 1st creations lol. Question, please can you tell me where you had you name printed on your lids 'mold' from, Your candles are so so pretty x😊
Thanks for subbing! So glad you liked the videos and you are enjoying making them. The lids in this video were made by an Etsy seller. I am not able to find them anymore. Not sure if they went out of business or changed their name. You can checkout my latest video where I made more vessels and that company can make custom lids. Best of luck with your vessel-making journey!
I have a Cricut that I still haven’t tried; I feel the frustration just typing this out. It definitely adds to the extra touches. I noticed you didn’t sand these on this particular video; I m not sure if I missed it?
Head over to Wooden Wick Co and they have a sampler pack that you can get to test a few different wicks to see which one you like best. That's the best part of candle making is the testing stages. Have fun with it!!
Hi! I was wondering if it's safe to paint the inside of a concrete vessel with water based acrylic paint? Then use earth safe finish to seal. Would it be a fire hazard? Btw. I've learned so much from your videos! ❤️
Hi Kim, thank you so much for watching my videos! I've never tried painting the inside. I would recommend making one and see how it tests. I do not know if it would be a fire hazard or not.
Hello, I find your vases very pretty, you have done an admirable job, I hope one day I can do the same one day... I have a question for you, I tried to make a vase with acrylic as you show, but after drying, there are cracks in the places where the paint is, and in places it is not dry, do you have any idea why this is happening? Thank you in advance for your answer
Thank you! I haven't had this happen yet. Sounds like you may be using too much paint or not letting them dry completely. What type of concrete mix are you using? CementALL?
I've noticed that different acrylics will act differently in the cement. The one that I really like is listed in am Amazon storefront. Listed in the description.
Hi Malena i enjoyed that video and learned a few new things , i also use wooden wicks and would love to know where you got your wick centralising tool from ? im in the uk thanks Stuart
Thank you for sharing your info. When you add your acrylic paints to your vessels, don't your vessels get "rough" spots ? Do you do anything to fill the spots in so you have a smoother more consistent finish? Thank you.
hi I am watching your videos very much, and while watching your videos I also wanted to make candles, I make candle holders and put jasmine scented wax on them, but unfortunately it goes out after a while, the candle holder I made Below is a photo, do you know the reason?
No, there isn't a template that I know of. I had to play around and figure out the perfect size for it. Once I got my template created I upload it to Cricut.
The EarthSafe Finish sealer is used on the inside of the vessels because it is eco friendly and safe during burning. The Minwax is used for the outside since it will not be near the flame, is not eco friendly. For this vessel I went with gloss for a shiny look.

Do you have a video showing how you cut the bottom of your mold off.
Hi Holly, yes you can find that part on my video -DIY Coloring Concrete Candle Vessels / Making Concrete Candles with Mica & Hydro Dipping

I want to start making candle cups could you help how to start?
Thank you Malena! Exactly which mould are you using from your store?
You can find mostly everything used in the video on my Amazon storefront. Here's the link to the molds amzn.to/3UAaskK
I have a Cricut that I still haven’t tried; I feel the frustration just typing this out. It definitely adds to the extra touches. I noticed you didn’t sand these on this particular video; I m not sure if I missed it?
I missed it during the editing stage. I do prefer to sand them all for smoother flatter bottoms.
Where do you get your candle boxes from
You can find them on my amazon storefront under the candle-making supplies.
@@MalenasCreations can they fit any candle jar vessel like an 8oz or a 10oz
I would say that you'd have better luck with the 8oz, but I am not sure about a 10oz. Check the Amazon details for the box measurements
@@MalenasCreations ok who sells the best 8oz candles
I haven't really found any that I like. That's why I like making my own :)
Thank you for sharing. Can you tell me more about the wooden wick. Is it a particular size and where to buy

hello dear... do you use only cement and water?... your work is beautiful, congratulations!
And the paints for a little color, that's all! Thank you!!

Thank you for your answer and yes I used cement all. Do you use a special acrylic or all acrylic can be good?
I've noticed that different acrylics will act differently in the cement. The one that I really like is listed in am Amazon storefront. Listed in the description.
Hi Malena i enjoyed that video and learned a few new things , i also use wooden wicks and would love to know where you got your wick centralising tool from ? im in the uk thanks Stuart
So glad that you enjoyed the video :) I got the wick centering tool from nordencandlesupply.com
@@MalenasCreations Thank you
Hi! Thank you so much for sharing. After sealing the inside of the vessel, how long do you allow that to cure?
I normally let them sit for about a day or two after sealing them. I end up getting into another project and forget ;)
Do you find your vessels get pretty hot after burning for more than an hour?
Thank you for sharing your info. When you add your acrylic paints to your vessels, don't your vessels get "rough" spots ? Do you do anything to fill the spots in so you have a smoother more consistent finish? Thank you.
I do get those rough spots from time to time. All I do is use a seal coat on the outside and really dab that area well.
I don't see a link for your wick setting guide to ensure its centered. I see that it has your logo. Is it available for purchase?
You can purchase your own custom wicker at nordencandlesupply.com
How much would you say it actually ends up costing you to make just the vessel?
hi I am watching your videos very much, and while watching your videos I also wanted to make candles, I make candle holders and put jasmine scented wax on them, but unfortunately it goes out after a while, the candle holder I made Below is a photo, do you know the reason?
What did you use for lettering and what did you use so the lettering doesn’t come off thanks
I use the seal coat on the outside if I have the lettering on them otherwise if I don't letter them I leave them unsealed on the outside.
@@MalenasCreations okay cool thanks for replying
Where can I get a list of materials needed?? I want to make vessels for my candle business
You can find all of the links of everything used in the description below
Love the video, what size wooden wicks are you using for that vessel ?
Wooden wick co has a size guide where you can figure out what wick you will need. They also have a variety pack as well.
😻 😻😻😻 😻 👍 👍👍👍 👍 💞💞💞💞 💞
do you add plaster of paris?
Neither. I just use the box of CementAll and water
Is there a template in Canva for the dust covers? Also did you upload that Canva file to the Cricut in order to do the print and cut?
No, there isn't a template that I know of. I had to play around and figure out the perfect size for it. Once I got my template created I upload it to Cricut.
Found a tutorial on it ua-cam.com/video/Ds3Gy2cQvOg/v-deo.html
Whats the difference between minwax polycryilic sealer and this one in the function? And what would you choose gloss, satin or matte?
The EarthSafe Finish sealer is used on the inside of the vessels because it is eco friendly and safe during burning. The Minwax is used for the outside since it will not be near the flame, is not eco friendly. For this vessel I went with gloss for a shiny look.
Do you think coconut soy performs better with concrete or soy?
I prefer coconut soy blend even though it pulls away from the walls a bit more, but you can always use the heat gun to fix that.
Does this sealer really stop leakage?
I do at least two to sometimes three coats. I haven't had any leakage as of yet.
Thank You ❤️
