This was one of songs recorded at their Decca audition on January 1st 1962 (with Pete Best on drums). Hard to believe that this version/jam is only 7 years later! 😳

There is one. This was recorded after they made that one, you have to keep in mind the point of this one isn't to play perfectly, just to play for fun. It's laid back and sounds great with the broken vocals and heavier bass + guitar.
It's amazing, one of the songs that was recorded at the very start of the band, and they still remember it all the way to one of their last sessions.
It must have really stuck with them.
To put things in perspective, it was first recorded with Pete Best.

Based on Tune In, this was a song that John, Paul, and George worked on a lot back in 1959. They must have had a lot of fun reliving it. Old times. It would have been cool if they worked on a polished version in 1969, but I don’t think they did any covers after about 1962, did they?
