Car almost killed him first. Did you catch that? BUT... BOTH were at fault! One tried to murder with a car (and his wifes door open even) and others were not allowed a gun and provoked because he fired pepper spray first. So, the guard instigated by bringing firearm and spraying, thus the charge of 2nd not first. It would be first if he had not been almost run over first. And the other guy wasn't in his right to try to drive over him. Had he lived, he would have faced attempted murder & assault with deadly weapon (car) or if succeded he would have had murder 1st. I'm a licensed armed security officer here in Nevada, my company has strict policies for use of deadly force encounters. We must comply with state and local law when it comes to the discharge of firearms. The most important of which is obviously the justified use of a firearm. The other is not carrying a firearm on duty if you do not have an armed security license and have not been hired as an armed security officer. He then asked Jesus if He would remember him when Jesus got to Heaven and Jesus replied Truly this day you will be with Me in Paradise.😊
As a Security professional, it makes zero sense that the security company banned him from the Lowe's parking lot when he had an agreement with Lowe's to be there. As a security company, you follow the client's lead in enforcing policy. In this case, Lowe's. The client is the one paying the security company. The confrontation never should have happened. That's one. Two, most jurisdictions require security personnel to get an Armed Guard license if they plan to carry a weapon. Also, you need to clear that with the client. For most, they don't want armed guards on the property for liability reasons. You can't just carry a weapon when on the job. Three, obviously the deceased man isn't a completely harmless/innocent victim. Realistically there was an angry/violent confrontation between the two men that got far out of hand.
I'm a armed security officer too, FDACS.gov . Since 2000. I can tell you, since 2015 or so, more officers, firms use dash mounted 📹 or body cams. People often lie, make threats or distort things. He’s a security guard, not a police officer. He could’ve let them go and then called the police like security is trained to do. WHICH IS THE EXACT OUTCOME HE WANTED WHEN HE TRESPASSED THEM. He deserves life and no sane person will wipe a single tear on his behalf.
This is why Security Guards should not be armed with deadly force weapons and even Batons/OC spray/Cuffs for that matter. Security Guards are to Observe and Report. They don't have any authority to subdue/confine a person. Citizens arrest, some states in the US have a fine line when it comes to confining a suspect which could lead to you being charged/civil suit for kidnapping or imprisonment. Its a sticky grey area that seriously needs to be look at. These companies that employ guards for S*** pay then put them in potentially hazard situations with below standard training which ultimately the employee ruin his/her life like this security guard.

So basically, the pallet and everything was Lowe's property. I absolutely agree that he was being ridiculous, but ultimately, he was following orders from his boss. What the state wanted to teach you from this trial is that you're not allowed to do your job, and if someone tries to run you over while you're doing that job and you shoot them to defend yourself, you're going to jail for 25 years. The media briefly mentioned the car was turned toward him, but I saw the footage. @saltyahole - you did see the part where the dumb driver turned the wheels toward the guard right? after already hitting him, after being told to get out of the car, right?
This was clearly a murder. The guard pepper sprays the man, tells them to leave, and then stands directly in front of the car so they can’t. Then when they try he opens fire and murders the poor dude. I’ve been pepper sprayed (willingly) and there’s zero chance of me driving immediately afterwards but there’s also zero chance of me seeing anything in front of me if I did. We have to know what it’s like to carry it and use it. Clearly, this guy had zero training, thought he was something, and probably watched too many movies. That's one. Two, most jurisdictions require security personnel to get an Armed Guard license if they plan to carry a weapon. Also, you need to clear that with the client. For most, they don't want armed guards on the property for liability reasons. You can't just carry a weapon when on the job. I hope they sue that security department for millions.
If he was a regular cop he probably wouldn't even have been prosecuted. I've seen videos where cops intentionally jump in front of a car to justify shooting the driver. This guy was trying the same trick.
Never let a person who's a geek become a police officer or security guard
THIS
Risk vs reward. My man gave the rest of his life up and took another life for a Lowes parking space.
I would like to point out that the so-called a victim struck the security guard with a vehicle which is a deadly weapon. I kind of think this is a gross miscarriage of justice
I agree 100% he was threatened with a vehicle
The same vehicle he stood in front of. Think about that.@@TheMW2informer
Buddy had permission to take the pallets. Security was on a power trip
The guy should never had been assigned a firearm. Where is his security company in all this?
It was his personal firearm that he was not allowed to carry on duty.
I was gonna say...I half way blame the company
Lowe’s and the Victim had a solid agreement about the pallets. This Security Guard had no business interfering with said agreement between two parties. Afterwards this Idiot goes on to shot him over pallets. I can understand the pepper spray, nevertheless dude was never in imminent death or serious injury for him present a firearm and shoot him. Sad story overall
Oregon is a joke
Not really. You just don’t understand laws/private company rules.
@@knockout9446 Oregon is a state bruh, not a company.
The entire west coast is a joke.
Paul Blart killed a guy and got charged. grow up
hopefully logan gimbel gets graped in prison. life sentence. i bet hes staring at a wall right now while i get to enjoy the freedoms of doing whatever i want, like watching youtube videos at 1am.
big ol blacky gonna stretch that tight lil yt boy out. you love to see it! 😂😂😂🤣
Fred drove forward at first, not trying to kill gimbel, but running into him some…then he stopped…and then gimbel flipped out and told him to get out of the car and if the car moved again he would discharge his weapon…
He then BACKED UP in his car, a couple feet back into the parking spot. Then gimbel decided to fire, under ZERO danger.
Security was unprofessional and provoking it the entire time, looking for a confrontation.
Watch the EWU video on this.
Gimbel deserves life WITHOUT parole.
I came here from watching the ewu body cam UA-cam channel and agree with you 100%
@saltyahole - you did see the part where the dumb driver turned the wheels toward the guard right? after already hitting him, after being told to get out of the car, right?
@@robtdoughertythat’s literally the opposite of what happens
I guarantee he still thinks he did no wrong.
I bet the security company don't even call or write him either
Lucky if they don't start a lawsuit with him
@@GAM5T They know better.
@@kylebender3366 LOL yeah they’re done with him.
The problem with security guards is their ego.
His ego will be at 0 as Bubba shows him the intimate social graces of prison life.
And that ego for some these winners usually goes from 0 to 100 in 1 second.
pIGS tooooooo😮
the problem with people is they always think it's everyone else...
Majority Security guards are not like this lol. They're lazy af. It's easy money.
Kill one person gets life other kill multiple people and get 10 years 😮?
His biggest mistake was carrying a gun when he wasn't allowed to carry one
Why would he do that?
@@PainandMotivation Just look at him and you should have your answer.
His biggest mistake was using said gun. If he had only carried it none of this happens.
As a security guard myself, thats a BINGO!
His biggest mistake was letting the cops come for him. Portland is a joke of a city
A person carrying this kinda stuff, without immense and repetitive training, is a very deadly and dangerous thing, if that isn’t obvious.
Life in prison for 17$an hour, what an idiot
