She's definitely NOT the only person in the world with this condition. People with this condition are actually at a danger because they don't realize when they mess up and things could end badly for them
She's super lucky. Most people with this get serious injuries as toddlers, including for example scratching out their own eye. I saw a documentary about a girl who's parents had her baby teeth pulled out, because she was chewing on her own tongue so much that she couldn't swallow anymore due to the swelling. The struggle is getting them to an age where they understand their condition without a serious loss of some functionality. But this woman was maybe simply such a phlegmatic toddler that she kind of just didn't feel like chewing on her own fingers... idk? :D
As a chronic migraine sufferer, I envy this woman like you wouldn’t believe. I know there are downsides to this condition, but my quality of life would be so much more improved if I was to somehow obtain this condition.
Chronic migraines are so much less dangerous than this. Pain is vital for human survival so many injuries that go unnoticed can occur, leading to death.
It's not lucky. It's quite bad condition in the end because It doesn't mean you are immune to injuries. Not feeling the pain from like burning might get the burn injuries worse since It takes longer for her to realise It.
@@sicknessnfilth1616It's honestly very surprising that she didn't get diagnosed earlier. People with this condition are usually diagnosed very early on in their lives as when they are children they often end up biting their tongues or scratching their eyes without feeling any pain. It's also odd that somehow it never twigged with her that she never feels pain. In her pregnancy story she says she brought painkillers just in case, yet somehow this never made her think that she had never previously felt any pain in her entire life? Ever?
She’s not the only one. I am a little surprised she has normal faculties. That man kept pinching his cohost. Does he think he’s special or something? 😒
@@ronanhughes8506 Oh ok, I was kind of horrified at his behaviour, lol. But even with her being his wife this is annoying, if not to her, then to the viewer

what's strange to me is that these people are unaware that she is in fact not the only one with this condition but also she lacks many of the telltale signs of it. and the fact she was in her 60s when she was diagnosed???? i smell a fib
She kind of is considering she hasn't suffered any major medical complications due to her condition. I can't believe the worst thing she had to explain was breaking her arm at 8! She must have enough sensation to stay somewhat more safe than others with the same type of conditions.

Correct, you have it to 😁
It's probably rare for them to reach old age

2.29 MILLION views and only two people commented? Odd
they turned off all comments after phil came out, must’ve turned them back on.
@@bayselevin697 ahhh makes total sense now

@@bayselevin697this isn’t true, itv have generally kept comments off for most of their UA-cam videos for years now, long before Phil came out
They didn't want chronic pain patients to learn about anandamide because it's our natural thc (from cannabis)
dang i wish they had the comments turned on from the beginning
He actually rubbed his nose and then straight to giving her the chili. Alright then.
