Just wanted to say cheers for the video, got an ignition off eBay as the one on mine had been tampered with. Looked at the wiring, changed it round and works perfectly, thanks man 👍
Great clip buddy! Ive got a question to ask, I have a Yamaha YBR 125 from 2010. I lost the key, so i ordered a new one and essembeld to the Yamaha. The start motor is turning on but motor isn't starting. spark plug doesn't spark either. I thought it was the CDI, but I had it checked by a specialized company and it works as expected. Now I want to replace the stator, but do you think something went wrong when replacing the ignition lock or odometer?
Cheers man. Got my ybr up and running after it being sat for around a year and it does the intermittent ignition thing also. Fingers crossed a new barrel will sort it:)
Mate, you are an actual fucking god damn legend. I did your tip where you cut the wires and joined them together and it worked. Still going to replace the old barrel, but it's bailed me out the crap for the time being. Cheers!
Will replacing the ignition barrel fix a broken steering lock? If the shear bolts are in place, is it necessary to drill through to remove the ignition barrel, or when removing the top yoke does that negate the need? Thanks
Original ignition is red/brown and then two other wires. Red and brown twist together for ignition on. If the bike is carbed leave the other two apart, if the bike is Efi twist the other two together to clear engine code
Cant lie mate my ig dms are full of message requests from fake account. Comment a dot or something on my most recent post and when i reply to you you can delete the comment mate
Hi mate, I've done exactly what you have on this video but still nothing., any ideas what it could be? Still got the code erro and now it won't even try to start
Get yourself a 3D PEN and some black ABS filament then you can re-make ANY small bike part you need and effect perfectly good workshop repairs without having to just tighten one side of a support bracket. Re-make the other side in < 5mins.

Youll need to undo the shear bolts none the less, but yes a new ignition would fix the steering lock :)
Hi Brad is there any way of checking this without replacing as just recovered my nick ybr
Just had mine replaced it seems common I think it's the water that's gets into it
Hello mate what wires do I need to cut on the original ignition is it the same ?

Brown and red together and then the other two together. The code will 100% disappear when done correct
