Anderson is full of it. I soooo used to love him, but every time he opens his mouth on this topic, he digs a hole for himself. Anderson, Ellen, Elton, Ricky, et al famously waited to get shitloads of millions in the bank before coming out. So Anderson's alleged message to gay kids that you can be "gay and successful" is bullshit. If that's the new truth, HIS career path is definitely not an example of that. He did what most gay "out" figures did. They came "out AFTER". In this country a gay man must lie at the beginning, amass some fuck-you money, and THEN come out. Because the possibility is very real that they'll lose fans, jobs, and ultimately money from the announcement. I think Andy was the only one who came on the scene fully gay.

I don't think that heterosexuals or gays should make an issue of their sexuality. There is no need to make an issue of one's sexual orientation whether one be straight or gay. Straight people often flaunt their heterosexuality which is just as annoying as when gay people feel they need to "come out." What good does it do to come out? There are so many other things that define a person's character. Sometimes I think that gay people make a bigger deal out of being gay than need be. Just saying.
