What a decent man Anderson is. Even when justifiably letting off some steam in a very understandable context he manages to have the conscience of feeling bad about it. So modest too, downplaying any attempt at pointing out his courage. Just a wonderful human being.
Fatah and Yasser Arafat were still in charge when I was there, it's that long ago. I saw the stone-throwing thing once on the West Bank, in Ramallah. Somebody had set a big tyre on fire, then kids started throwing rocks and then the IDF came and fired a tear-gas grenade, and then all the shops were closed. I was told it was a quite regular routine there, the whole thing: )

Why does it matter that he reports in Gaza? Both countries should have reporters there regardless of who they're supporting.
Anderson is one of the few that actually reports from Gaza, who else does? Most report from Israel. Let the man do his reporting and bring the truth to the people.

How have these people managed to turn a report from a warzone into a fluffy, giggly, piece of light entertainment? Even the reporter being startled by the bomb blast has been turned into something from a bloopers reel. People will likely have died in that incident. Tasteless in the extreme - and he's out there, so he should know better.
