    Oh no, I winced in sympathy when you sent the rejuvenation guy away. You probably already figured this out by now but for anyone else reading this who doesn’t know- Rejuvenation isn’t on the Wine Map at all, it’s rotated on the Water Map and unrotated on the Oil Map.
    I only know because I’m almost done my first full playthrough. I played this a long time ago before a lot of things got rebalanced and improved, and am enjoying it much more this time around. I probably wouldn’t have picked it up again if I had not found these videos and decided to start watching to see how much they had changed :)

      Exactly xD this "knowledge gap" will haunt me until the very last episode, where I complete my rejuvenation redemption arc :D it is on the oil map and I missed its dashed line!

    Waterblooms under the tree might make it easier to see & utilize tree growing space :) the fireblooms seem to be butting in on your tree space

    Good call going for wild growth @ 18:20. I shudder to think how flatulence and strength would combine. Dude might just die for real.

    To help with your haggling overshoot problem, at max haggling you want your side to equal ⅓ of the merchant's side plus ⅔ of their available money

    • @brown56765
      @brown56765 3 дні тому

      Or you can just do two separate transactions =)

    • @KillrobPlays
      @KillrobPlays  3 дні тому

      That could be optimized a lot for sure... especially the overshoot I had in today's episode. However, I'll get better with it in the coming episodes and in the end, it won't matter... like at all xD

    It would probably be good to buy 3-5 of every ingredient that you can't grow. The only place you would use them is in "I need some of X in the potion recipe" potions so you would be able to fill those orders. Spending 100 on such an ingredient is now trivial compared to the 500+ you would get from those picky potion people.

    • @KillrobPlays
      @KillrobPlays  3 дні тому

      That is true! I do have a counter question for you though: consider how much a) time it takes to buy them all, b) how much opportunity cost that is to not have the resources / money for something else (progression) and c) how much the charisma skill would be able to offset any such negatives :)

    • @silvadelshaladin
      @silvadelshaladin 2 дні тому

      @@KillrobPlays a) making a custom potion for someone is about as lengthy as just plooping 3 of each into the sale side and haggling. b) money is solved. I didn't say this earlier because they were more expensive then and resources // ability to get those resources not as plentiful. c) considerable which is why you can do it now. Essentially though every time you end up with reverse progress instead of a good potion for someone when they want 1 boom shroom, you save more time than buying the ingredient in the first place.

    Well you have hundreds of other resources, so i would say it's efficient to sell less efficient potions just to use up unused resources not just the ones that give most money for ingredient

    [3:11] Hmm, He does not say 2 ingredients, he says 2 "types of ingredients" Is is possible he means plants and mushrooms?, or plants and crystals? or Crystals and mushrooms? instead of 2 ingredients only? (A short review of previous videos it looks like they always say "types of ingredients" so I suspect I am wrong. But it is awkward phrasing.)
    [18:29] LOL, maybe Healing for the upset stomach, and Fragrance for the flatulence?

    • @fractalgem
      @fractalgem 2 дні тому

      Pretty sure it means you can use, say, water crystals and a rainbow cap. You can't toss in an earth pyrite even though its also a crystal.
      Salt, however, does not count as an ingredient

    • @blackhat4968
      @blackhat4968 2 дні тому

      @@fractalgem Right, salts are not ingredients. But I was thinking from the wording, it was saying, if you used for example, 3 different mushrooms, it would only count as 1 "type of ingredient".

    • @KillrobPlays
      @KillrobPlays  2 дні тому +1

      At some point I confirmed in this series that "1 type of ingredient" means just 1 ingredient, however many of them you like (25 Waterblooms is okay), it does not allow you to have 24 Waterblooms and 1 Life Leaf though, even though they are defined as "the same type" in the game... which is indeed poor use of terminology.

  • @Schambes
    @Schambes 3 дні тому +3

    Not that it matters that much, but could you *please* not try and optimize the sell value all at once? It would be way more efficient to just barely be able to buy something with the money you stocked and then, when the merchant has all your money, get it back with a second haggle for your potions. That way it’s way easier to estimate how many of your potions you need.

    • @KillrobPlays
      @KillrobPlays  3 дні тому +1

      Nah, I don't like that due to how much cash reserves are used for that, even if temporary. Also, it doesn't really get rid of the issue at hand unless we know the exact percentage... which of course could be worked out. Anyway, not going to change that, but will get better at it. :)

    • @Schambes
      @Schambes 3 дні тому

      @ fair enough xD
      I‘m just always slightly cringing when you „loose“ so much with a trade, but that’s my problem and not yours. Apart from that, absolutely love the series.
      Oh, and on the topic of optimization, could you revisit the old legendary recipes? I think you had some very inefficient potions there, and since the newer recipes take those inefficiencies with them, there is a lot of optimization you could do. I get if that would’ve too much work though 😅

    • @KillrobPlays
      @KillrobPlays  3 дні тому

      The question is: would it be necessary? :) I can easily make 5x of every legendary ingredient with the bulk brewing, saving lots of resources. So while I agree with you that some of those older recipes could use an upgrade, it won't change the course of my economics much if I did :D Cheers

    Man, what are you up to? He wanted a potion to enlarge a certain part of his body, and he wanted special effects. That could have been so funny and you turned it down because you didn't believe you could make it with only 2 ingredients.

    • @KillrobPlays
      @KillrobPlays  3 дні тому

      No, that's not true, I turned it down because it is more efficient for me to spend that time elsewhere :) of course it can be done, also with the ingredients I have.
