Great video, I learned a lot! Thanks for your amazing content and all that knowledge you're sharing. Never been to a yoga class with such detailed explanations (of course time of the lessons is mostly too short for that), so this is really helpful!

Hi Rachel! Thanks so much for the tips. Do you think somebody with a thoracic spine misalignment can try handstands and forearm balances?
What kind of misalignment?

@@cacao2971 I would first suggest going to a chiropractor ~ perhaps PT, but I'd start with chiro - and rule out that there have been any recommendations from chiro or PT regarding weight bearing through upper body. If that's been done, then I'd suggest doing these prep poses. Can they be done with integrity? Are they pain free? It's the same process for ALL students. Humans are not symmetrical; we are all imbalanced in some way ~ the question (as is the question for all of us :)) is if they can move into these shapes in a way that is controlled, integrous, pain-free, and feels stable and mindful :) It isn't a yes/no question..it's something that must be explored ~ baby steps!
Can you please let me know which video editing software you use?. Thanks for the tips. I am scared to try inversions but always want to work towards it.
Sure! I use Camtasia, which is usually used by schools/ biz ~ I like all the easy graphics I can add ~ for inversions, do the preps and do at the wall first. Over time, the body starts to believe, "hey, we've got this!" 😁
