Tanguturi Anjaiah(Former AP chief minister) is "Munnuru kapu" but his Grand-son uses reddy surname , similarly Raghuveera Reddy is from "golla" caste. Even some kamma people use "reddy" title . some reddy's use "Naidu" title as well. irrespective of titles many reddy's consider themselves as "kapu"(this is also observed in Rayalaseema ). Overall, reddy's are not a homogenous group like kammas who have their origins in Krishna-Guntur region.
There's different types of Reddy's within Reddy's .... .....Reddy, Kamma, Velama , Kapu , other Kapu segments comes from Kapu Tribe ..... Myself I'm a motati Reddy we considered as Big Reddy ,,, we will never marry to other sub caste Reddy's
