    LOL, agreed on Monks, I wish they were WAY better! I actually just started an Inquisitor run with SCS in a hardcore game. So far it's an anti-magic Fighter who is better than a Wizard Slayer. Then again, I only just started the BGEE, so I have yet to see the full potential at this stage.

      As somebody who did the entire series as Inquisitor Paladin, the 2x dispel is effectively a delete key for a lot of fights. The only thing that is comparable is Pathfinder WotR Aeon casting Zero State and you watching 15 buffs get dispelled in the combat log

      @@plastictrumpet6862 So I think you’re right, the only issue could be user error on my part!

      inquisitors are fine, but have you even tried Wizardslayers?
      Just one point in short bows, using Tuigan's bow and special arrows, like dispelling or poison arrows.
      A caster already has defenses up? Use your arcane caster to create a window for your Wizardslayer to get in a few shots. Your arcane caster targets usually have poor fortitude saves and those poison arrows are very useful against them.
      Most importantly... A Wizardslayer dualled into a thief is a certified powergaming move that is achievable relatively quickly due to a thief leveling so fast. You can use hoboskin armor, you can get your Magic Resist up to respectable values and have great saves due to all the items you can equip.
      For me personally, Wizardslayer/Thief was one of my most enjoyable playthroughs.
      Next up, Wizardslayer/mage. Reasonably early on: Melfs Minute Meteors at 5 attacks per round that also increase arcane spellcasting failure on targets? Yes please.
      Wielding Carsomyr by the way as a Wizardslayer/Thief. Who's the best antimage now? 😮

      @@Antilluminati Yeah! Wizard Slayers dual-classing to Thieves is a very interesting combo that I definitely want to try!

    And then bg3 rolls around and monks have one of the most busted builds in the entire game. I do still enjoy playing Monk in these games but yeah they're definitely a little outclassed

    Inquisitors absolutely rock in BG2, especially with SCS ai installed.

    Am I missing something?
    Nothing seemed to happen, except him suddenly taking damage. All those spell protection graphics still in place on Lavok.

      I think his stoneskin got dispelled, which isn’t very easy to see behind all the spell protections.

      @barker262 17 днів тому

      @@giltigt ok, so the dispel works on ‘non spell’ protections but leaves the ‘spell’ protections (spell turning etc) intact?
      I’ve always spent forever chipping away at the spell protections. Need to look into that.

      @@barker262 I’m not exactly sure what it works against but most spell protections need to spell thrust, ruby ray and the likes to be dispelled. I think dispel magic might work against spell immunity though, which you might have to dispel before spell thrust and similar spells can work. It’s a lot to keep track of so definitely look into it if you’re uncertain. It frustrating when nothing works and you don’t know why
