When I first made the cover of You Smell of Dead Flowers, I was in a horrible place both physically and mentally. Sparing the details, it was probably one of the lowest lows that I will ever hit in my life. So when I made that cover, the extended lyrics were meant to be a testament to what I was going through.
However, I’m happy to say that things are finally looking up for me. I’m doing a lot better now than I was a year ago, and I’m surrounded by people that love and care about me. I’m slowly learning to also love myself. And this version of the song perfectly encapsulates how it feels to heal and move forward. I hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed singing it.

This is so lovely. As much as I adore the original dead flowers version, I have a very very hard time listening to it, especially when I'm in a particularly bad depressive episode. This song is like a light in the dark. Thank you for sharing, I absolutely needed this
