the Final Countdown was the last movie to show the naval air force assets with 'individual markings (put there by the pilots, to mark their planes as individuals of themselves). Not the same as leaving the name of the pilot on the plane, pilots would leave messages on their planes.
// after the production of this movie was over and before any other movies could be made, the markings on all naval air force assets had to be removed and no more markings were allowed to be left on any assets. Again, the messages were not the names of the pilots./
eg: during ww2 many usa truck drivers and tank drivers would Mark their vehicles with messages like, 'on to berlin', 'adolf sucks', etc //
the call sign names could and would remain, but no more other messages would be allowed upon any navy asset
