Personally I feel like this is a "everyone is in the wrong" kind of situation
He should have asked more questions and got confirmation especially considering he didn't know her or her age and his career and silence is not consent in this context if he was drunk he shouldn't have been trying to get with anyone anyway because that whole I'm drunk thing could have worked both ways
She shouldn't have been drinking underage she should have moved away simply because she didn't know him she should have left with her friends in the aftermath she should have told the whole"truth"
Her friends should not have let her drink underage and they should have l made sure she made it back to her room safely even if that while situation hadn't happened who leaves their friend drunk with a guy she doesn't really know in a hotel where she's not in her room? Have you never seen a single true crime show ?
It just makes more sejse when thought about from that view

So are we gonna ignore the fact her fucking adult friends brought her into this situation? Insanely irresponsible
EDIT; I don't care that she was 18, 18 and 21 are pretty different developmentally

@@crispy7499 I don't care. Have you ever heard of college? Unfortunately nobody gives a shit about the legal drinking age. Personally I think it's arbitrary and stupid that you can't drink at 18 which is the age where you are legally considered an adult, can vote, get into massive debt, purchase a house, and sign contracts. Everyone there was drinking, she was drinking before she even got to that event with her friends so that is her own fault and her friends fault. Not the people who's party they crashed after they had already been drinking.

She's pretending to be this shy girl who didn't know how things worked at parties, but can summon an essay about all her thoughts that night. Clearly, homegirl was not that drunk if she's now able to recall all of these details on top recalling her internal thoughts.
This girl seems a bit mentally unstable, which makes sense given her friends.

Freshly 18 as if she wasn’t born in January. I’m sorry, but I personally don’t find 18 and 26 weird as that’s eight years, and I personally find 6-8 years to be pushing my extent. Now if he were 28-30, that’s where I would personally feel uncomfortable. Yet they’re both adults, and the age gap isn’t extremely outrageous but her constantly mentioning and trying to manipulate the situation by saying she’s freshly 18 gets you to sort of infer that he’s a weirdo or creep. Now, furthermore, in terms of I’m drunk and can’t consent. That argument is completely ridiculous, considering he is also drunk. If your logic is that drunk people cannot consent, then both of you could not consent yet It’s somehow his fault. it seems to me her actual argument is drunk females can’t consent, which is obviously not true, considering any person, regardless of gender or sex cannot consent when drunk. But it begs the question if both people are drunk, who can consent, and who cannot. This whole situation seems that both of them were engaging therefore no one‘s at fault. If anything, considering there isn’t a lot of proof on her side, if I were George and I were actually innocent I would sue for defamation of character. And try to make this as a standard for content creators in general so false allegations don’t happen. Although if I were caiti and this legitimately did happen, I would obviously go to the police. regardless of how long this process may take it is a shore way to ruin someone’s life and get the required justice

So assuming he isn't a psychopath who doesn't care about the effects of his actions, we can say this is of fault on each side because George was mislead, and Catti could've prevented this. It is unfair to dismiss criticism of Catti as victim blaming because the situation was not beyond her control, and the person who harmed her was not going out of their way to do so. In the end I think they both need to take more accountability because Catti is too consumed by her victimhood to do so, and I think George doesn't truly recognize the harm done by his actions because it seemed like he approached his response with more of a dissmissive mentality.

when i say "blaming it on the alcohol" i mean dodging all accounts of responsibility. she mentioned in her first video where she spoke up about it (i watched all of it when it first came out) she was saying how everyone else pressured her to drink and how bad it is to do this to an 18 year old. i really felt bad for her until george brought up his side of the story.
It's not right to have stuff happen to you whilst drunk when you dont want it to. But cmon. She remembers all of what happened, she wasn't blackout drunk was she? Plenty of people still have conscious thought over their actions when tipsy-drunk. Trying to dodge responsibility for those actions by saying "i was drunk" and then further pushing that victim narrative by saying "im only 18" is just ridiculous and manipulative. the way she framed it is making george to be the big predator when she was reciprocating those actions back at him.
she was actively cuddling with him. (in her video she says shes on a couch and george comes up and touches her. In georges video he mentions they were already cuddling). you are right about consent, but realistically at parties like this, if 2 people are up on eachother then obviously at least one side will think that consent has already been mutually agreed upon. (not saying its right, just being realistic). trying to make one side look like the victim of it is ridiculous when it appears that both sides already agreed upon consent by cuddling with eachother.

Moreover, you can be found innocent while being on substances even if you committed a crime, such as that woman who got off with only 100 hours of communities service after killing the dude she was smoking weed with. But morally it’s weird to take advantage of someone while drunk, and the reason they punish people for commit crimes while drunk is because they don’t want it to be an excuse to get out of committing crimes. In one case something is being done to you, while in the other you are doing something to another person.

From this experience, she needs to ask herself "in what ways am I responsible for this situation" and " what does the responses or lack thereof say about my friends if things played out the way I believe." Ultimately, I'm not saying anything untoward happened, but she facilitated the probability by not explicitly rejecting his affections and by participating in activities, ie, drinking, especially with older people, before she is both legal and educated. It's not victim shaming, it's accountability. George definitely has lessons from this too, chiefly, the dangers of implicit consent, which is nebulous at best and at worst, can be retracted at any time and completely change narratives. Nevertheless, him being older and more responsible doesn't absolve her of all agency. I hope she is now making smarter decisions and assesing her entourage, who if she was mistreated, fostered an environment for it to happen and waited until the following day to comfort her.

To put simply, two adult got drunk. Uncomfortable non-sexual touching happened (or not given the other perspective of her being quite happy, notably being explicitly mentioned by Dream), and her terrible friends failing to notice her discomfort and leaving her alone in that room.
Secondly, her adult friends letting her drink means a crime was in fact committed on day one. Again, terrible friends.
Thirdly, this was apparently prompted by her friends, both in how she feels and her coming out now, which is a common through line in false SA accusations. (Real SA filings tend to be reported without someone motivating the action).
You want to get something to happen in regards to a crime, file a report to the police and say you wish to press charges. Or a lawyer if the police scare you. If you just want clout and attention, post it on the internet.

I'm rather sick of people just believing anything "victims" say on the internet. Twitter isn't where crimes are prosecuted, and court of law is.
I do hope that George just sues her for defamation, if only to get the matter into any court at all rather then twitter.

It’s really bugging me that people are saying “He literally admitted to touching her, and she was a drunk 18 years old” like she was legal able to drink. Like that’s not a “maybe” crime, or context needing to be applied to it. Anyone who knew her age and still gave her alcohol is directly responsible for the situation. Like it’s incredibly dishonest to sit there and condemn George for his age(because apparently two legal adults can’t flirt with each other) 26, and not ask why an underage girl was allowed in the hangout. If you go to a club or bar, you don’t think “oh crap maybe she’s 20 instead of 21” no, you assume ever one is legal. You don’t get t, she wants to go to the party, she wants to have fun, she wants to illegally drink, she wants to sit next to him but she doesn’t wanna get up?

Sooo underage drinking, NO ACCOUNTABILITY, and now sympathy baiting...sounds about right. She got butt hurt because she thought that he was gonna take intrest in her but it fizzled out....now she wants to use this interaction to attack his character. Naive yound ADULT... she isnt a child. The fact she is partaking in ADULT activities but wants to pander and say she is still a kid is wild

My response to her post is, "Why were you there?" Why was she at the bar, despite being under 21? Why are people not calling her out of this?

Seriously, why does 18 matter. I've always only been into older guys. Usually, women are just quicker to mature. "Boys" my age are simply too immature. I have never been interrested in anything under 25..
not at 22. not at 18.
I would be mad if someone took away my autonomy. My right to decide. Cause guess what, im an adult. My choice is my right.
If i want to flirt and cuddle with someone 8 years older than me, i should be able to without anyone shaming me or them.
This girl doesnt realize that when you play that game you discredit yourself and other women.
Women before us have fought so hard for that freedom and autonomy. That comes with a condition. The condition of responsibility.
Either you are adult and free to make your own choices and thus responsible for your actions or you are not responsible and too young and thus not allowed the benefits of adulthood.
It isnt pick and choose. Its either or. Either you want to play the adult game or not. But dont blame anyone else for getting burned. Your "trauma" or "uncomfortabillity" is not anyones responsibility.
Consent cant be revoked suddenly actually. Not even in a legal sense. Even in legal agreements consent is only revoked on breach or if given on false premise.
Its fair to have regret, but that regret is yours to bare. We have got to reemember that even according to herself this was not forced. This wasnt even a sexual act! Cuddling and touching someones stomach is not a sexual act.
We have got to stop calling out people for interacting with 18 yos.
    Let women decide for themselves.
She put herself there. She engaged in drinking
She chose to cuddle. Lets stop pretending youre braindead when drunk. You are still responsible for actions while drunk. Youre responsible for every crime while drunk as well.
In fact the only way you can negate responsibility is either if youre are unconsious or clinically insane. Which she wasnt according to every version of this story.

i find it weird how she kept saying that she didn't mind it and felt lucky but then all of a sudden, she isn't okay with it? this was a year later btw ! i honestly think she just wants to hop on the train of "exposing big creators" as most label it now. It's her friends fault for sneaking her into a place with alcohol and then proceeding to give her alcohol.. what was she expecting to happen??
