All because she couldn't force Shane to want what she said up front that she didn't want. She's manipulative. Plenty of other girls are going to love Shane, and hopefully they aren't crazy enough to spring a pregnancy on her.
Its a classic line that abusers say. They tell their oppressed or trapped partners that no one else will ever love them, to make them feel isolated, lonely and like shit.
Quiara was a perfect example. Only looking out for number one. I know its a TV show, but I pity the woman who settles down with her, or she tricks into settling down with her.

Not fair lol didn’t Shane fuck a flight attendant beginning of this show, and didn’t she fuck Lena the bartender.....yeah you could say Shane and Quiara weren’t together at the time but technically they were still married, an she showed up afterward to Shane, and they got back together, I doubt Shane told her about those encounters.

I completely agree. Quiara is selfish and manipulative. She knew Shane didn't want kids and got pregnant anyway, then spent the entire season manipulating Shane in order to get her own way. Suddenly Shane is selfish when she told her she didn't have to be a parent, only her partner lol. She was lying all along.

"Technically still together", bullshit, they had separated and Shane had literally moved to California before Q showed up pregnant, already knowing full well that the woman didn't want kids. All this is 100% Q's fault, and she needs to stay away.
Those who defends Q in the comment section saying she is harsh to Shane because she just lost her baby, I get that point, but the fact that it needed explaining says it all actually, the audience just dont see the desperation through Davis’s acting, imagine how Laurel would perform through this scene?

She shows up, pregnant...Shane still loves her, so she tries her best to be supportive of her...and when Quiara loses the baby, she flips out on Shane. I understand that Shane didn't want the baby at first; but she was trying her best to be supportive.
People you can't expect for a woman who just lost her baby to think clearly and think of others but herself and what she is going trough, yes she was harsh to Shane but what happend to her is beyond painful and of course she is going to direct her hurt and anger towards the person that didn't want her baby to begin with.

@@avieneyard My mother lost 2 babies after me when i was younger, although she handle it different because she had me to take care of, i can still remember the look of pain in her eyes and her been withdrawn from time to time. I'm not surprised Quiara reacted that way and it was to be expected since the whole been a partner but not a parent to the baby of your spouse doesn't really work, and Shane with all her widsdom for daiting was clueless and callous in trying to get rid of the things for the baby so soon.
I agree. Q was coming from the perspective of a woman who just lost a child she wanted. Pregnancy changes women and I think she saw Shane from a different lens. 🧐 That’s all. I feel Shane is to old to be flip flopping. I wish she would settle already. She has ruined two great relationships Carmen and Q. Like what more could you ask for? I think the scribes on the show have poor character development. For most people when you hit 40 you have it together. It’s been a decade and this moment kinda feels like Shane leaving Carmen at the altar with entirely selfish and insensitive motives.

Yeah, the way Quiara handled it was uncalled for but she just lost her baby so I get it. She obviously didn’t mean what she said because as you can tell she’s going through a hard time & I think she’s just not thinking clearly right now but later on she’ll realize that she made a dumb mistake and will apologize for everything she said and the way she reacted towards Shane.

I don't think she will. She wasn't upset because she lost the baby, she was upset that the baby wouldn't have been enough to trap Shane with her in the end, that her master plan to manipulate Shane into coming back to her didn't work.

I don't expect to see Carmen anytime soon, Sarah Shahi's been busy doing Black Adam. As for Molly......I don't know, she just seemed very sexually confused. She admitted she didn't know if she's straight or gay, and it really seemed like Phyllis pushed her into the lesbian world so she would become a lesbian and then take her side instead of Leonard's during the divorce.
Maybe the dog will help Shane understand the start of companionship and a sort of parenthood like most couples in real life 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Why are they always giving Shane a girlfriend that wants her to change and be something she is not. It is toxic. There are so many women out there who does not want to be mothers or does not believe in the conventional monogamy. Besides the mere fact that two people want different things mean they are not for each other, and don't see how this is Shane's fault. Q just needed to move on and not trap Shane.

I love Shane dearly, but she constantly self sabotages in relationships. I dunno if I agree with this relationship cuz I felt like she was pushing Shane at times for something she was uncomfortable with.
I do agree with Quiara that Shane needs to love herself before she can love someone she’s with. She’s not unloveable, but Shane does get in her own head that she’s not worthy of love. Girl needs some therapy.❤️

As soon as Lara felt that lump on Dana's breast, she got worried and began pushing her to see a doctor but Dana was a little dismissive at first, and when it turned out to be terminal cancer, Lara did her best to comfort her, but Dana just shunned her, like she was nothing to her anymore.
You have to be without an iota of shame to behave that way.
But I still blame Ilene Chaiken for that. She didn't have to write that stupid, bullshit storyline for Dana. She was so criticised for it that now even she admits that it was a mistake. She practically ruined most of the characters starting with season 3.

Quiara is trash and I knew it all along. What happened to "You don't have to be a parent"? Or "I just want you, I don't need you"? Or "You don't have to feel anything"?. lol wanting kids or not wanting kids is not something you can compromise. so it logically makes sense for Q to get pregnant bcuz she wants kids. hence all the things she said to shane you mentioned above. it's not manipulative lmao. on the other hand, shane is a grown ass woman there's no such thing as she being manipulated. she made the decision "I'm in" bcuz -in her words- she loves Q, it's her choice not Q forced her. And that's one thing not to feel anything when you hear your baby's heartbeat for the 1st time, but to somehow not feel empathetic to your beloved wife losing the one thing she really wants, that's something that could anger even the nicest people really lol *not blaming shane but she really should answer Q better

I agree she was emotional and really wanted that baby so she blew up. Q jumped in and didn’t let Shane finish and I think she wanted to say let’s plan on having a baby. Carmen was rude, disrespectful and obnoxious to her friends and family during season 3. She was projecting her insecurities about Cherrie and Shane onto others. Carmen did love Shane but she went about things the wrong way. The more Carmen controlled Shane the more she rebelled. Quiara has more class , patience and is understanding. She would never fly off the handle and address family and friends the way Carmen did in season 3.

I know, it was kinda shitty that she didn't really let Shane say anything. I feel like Shane was just gonna go a long with it again and was going to say that the situation needed to be planned a lot more as she was getting too involved before. I,E acting like a parent - going to the scan and thinking she has to feel something for the kid when she's only Quaira's partner. I feel like deep down Shane does want children (she said in a previous ep she did) but the stuff after that - her dad showing up and being shitty, acting like a parent to Shay and then him going again probably put her off. Seeing as her dad compared them both, she doesn't want to be like him. Unfaithful to the wife, deadbeat parent etc.
ItsMe Bet I completely agree that Shane’s reluctance to wanting to parent is probably fear based. Hope she and Q work it out because at this point Shane has ruined to great relationships with Carmen and Q, two wonderful people who had her back. What more could any person want?

One (Of many) problems with this reinvention of the L word is that don’t know what to keep and what they should have changed.
Kept he as she was-
Shane’s character is destroyed. She is codependent on her wife to the point of being trapped into mothering a baby....and then shamed for being selfish (gtfo) The BEST thing about Shane is that she defied convention and was true to herself...she didn’t need anyone.
Changed her- Tina was ALWAYS really manipulative and constantly deflecting her problems on Bette. She should have grown up but here she is same old bullshit.
