Felt that...she was my stamp of approval, my gf back in the day was my reason :D we watched the show in a circle of lesbians, ripped from the internet bc we couldn't get it in Europe. Kate has always been my fave even though they are all gorgeous.

I used to sneak my laptop to my room just to watch this show. lol My parents were uneducated homophobic individuals and I thought they would kill me if they ever saw me watching it. Well, one night my mom walks in my room, she opened her eyes sooo wide, turned around, and left. I stood there with a blank stare until I realized my headboard showed the reflection of my computer and it was a scene of Shane and Paige having sex. I think until this day my mom thinks I am going to drop the bombshell that I am Lesbian haha

The original show helped me a lot in discovering my real sexuality 10 years ago back in college. I remember I was buying dvds after school, play them sneakingly on my laptop during break times at school. I owe this show a lot. Now, I am out to my friends and family and in a 3 year live-in relationship with my girlfriend.

I remember sneaking a small tv into a spare room to watch this late at night during the very first season airing. I felt like I discovered something that was gonna change my life & I was right. It helped me discover that lesbians did indeed exist! & to see it on tv was such a thrill. Very exciting to see it back. What other show could replace it?!
That's awesome, it sucks that most of us had to sneak to watch this. Had it been heterosexual actors, none of us would need to hide it. This show was definitely a little guilty pleasure for so many of us & boy was it so damn satisfying!!!

In some place at home I have the DVDs of the original. Glad that they came back! I used to see weekly chapter with some friends. The show was groundbreaking and this continuation landed in a cool timing to make some political statements.

I have and will always be a fan of the "L Word" so long as they keep the three original actors and add Tina back into the series and a few more stronger characters. Studs, stems, tomboys etc. is a needed addition to the series but it equally important to add some butches and with their feminine partners. Make sure to have their ages vary 30s 40s 50s+ That way you can keep a wider range of viewership. LGBTQ and the heterosexual communities need to become more educated on ALL lifestyles.

Jinx La'rue Kit died from a drug overdose. Weird asf because I for the life of me do not know where the writers thought up the plan to o.d. Kit. I may have missed a lot but do not recall anything of a drug use story line before that. It was a long time ago so maybe I just don’t recall Kit having an opioid addiction.

Holy Shit it’s Trubel. I watched this show religiously even though I’m straight (even have the DVD’s); and found it to be amazing back then. I’m sooo excited to see what they do with this series.
It's so awesome to see more straight people enjoy this show because it really is a great show regardless of the sexualities dispicted on the show. I just hope generation Q measures to somewhat to the original in it's own way. They've got big shoes to fill.

Unpopular opinion: I never bought into the notion that Bette is a great leader. She's authoritative, sure. But she is weak willed, impulsive, and simply doesn't learn from mistakes. If I had to choose an OG leader, it would actually be Marina. She's certainly ruthless, but she's a strategic thinker with strong control of her emotions.

I LOVED this season. The characters seemed so much more well rounded and the storylines were much more real - the original was fun but felt like lesbian Melrose Place. This new show was such a breath of fresh air to me. Not to mention better trans representation. I am not trans but I am so glad to see better representation happen because entertainment has such a ability to teach, I’m just so glad they are doing that with this show.

Can someone please tell me if it's my imagination or not about Jen's new voice? I'm hard of hearing but I am still able to detect a huge change in the way Jen's voice sounds when watching TLWGENQ with earbuds on. Anyone else notice it too or no? Is this normally what a mature woman sounds like or am I just hearing things incorrectly? Would appreciate if someone can clarify this. When we get older does our voice change dramatically like this, if so then at what age does this change occur at? Or does our voices continually evolve during our entire lives like our bodies do? Frankly, I thought our biggest change vocally only happened after puberty? Excuse the naivety, just an honest question.

I read an interview with one of the producers and she said that Sarah Shahi was very happy to comeback and play Carmen again, but guess what?? Some writers for the show, specifically a group of Latinax writers hated the idea (No reason was given) said ‘NO’!!

I loved the original series from beginning to end. I just watched the first three episodes of the new series and I'm not too impressed. Also, I'm having trouble understanding some of the conversations because the sound quality seems off. And, what has happened to Leisha Hailey's voice, she sounds very nasally, I don't remember her sounding like that in the original series. I'll watch the whole series in hopes that it gets better.
