    This is exactly what I needed this morning! I had pregnancy insomnia at 3 AM this morning, was woken up by my husband's alarms after that, and then my 3 y/o before the sun ever came up! Definitely didn't have the energy for a longer workout, lol.

    This is a great ab video! It's helpful to know that during pregnancy it's healthier to focus on obliques rather than the other ab muscles. I also really appreciate how body positive this video is! It's about being healthy and strong, not looking a certain way, and it doesn't have negative body talk. Thanks!

    Ooooh I so wanted to love this workout as I do all the others (I'm starting week 21, baby #1 and I just started to show a belly). But as a teenager I had a spine injury and it sadly wakes up with the obliques (plus added weight of the baby - didn't have a problem with this workout in my first trimester!) :(

    • @glowbodypt
      @glowbodypt  Рік тому

      Marta, congrats on your first baby and starting to show at about 21-22 weeks now! I'm sorry your old injury is flaring up now by pregnancy - probably due to relaxin hormone spiking which makes your ligaments more "lax" than your typical self. I am still confident you'll be able to do a ton of my Free Prenatal Program without pain and I will ensure your body is prepared for labor and delivery while keeping you in top shape. Hello!
    I’m 13 week pregnant with 1st baby:) . I was active before being pregnant
    the I have been working-out since day 1 and I didn’t stop. I started your plan at week 8
    It’s great exercises! I love them and I will recommended for any one
    I’m thinking now about couple of things
    #The plan stop at week 32. After that what exercise ai supposed to do?
    # Is it really exercising during pregnancy reduces the labor time? From your experience or anyone you know
    # I watched your video about stretch marks I know u didn’t have during the pregnancy but after giving birth, does the stretch marks appeared? Or not
    B/c I’m following your advice regarding exercise, hydration, healthy diet, moisturizing and I wanna know if will appear later.
    # After giving birth and doing post-pregnancy program. What program should I start later on?
    Again. I’m loving your workout, and I feel so comfortable when doing it. You give me the positivity that everything will be ok
    Thank you❤️

    Thanks for this workout! I'm 26 weeks along, and back pain is starting to increase as Baby gets bigger in the front. My midwife recommended core stabilizing exercises to help. Is this a good video for that? Do you have other videos that are specifically geared toward core stabilization and reduced back pain?

    • @glowbodypt
      @glowbodypt  3 роки тому

      Dalie, Your midwife is right that you need to have a strong core (including your back) but we do not want to over-do it on oblique training. If you over-train your obliques during 2nd and 3rd trimester the muscles will gently tug on your rectus abdominis and cause further separation along the midline. This separation is called Diastasis Recti. Go snag my free prenatal program right now: www.glowbodypt.com/prenatalworkouts Then, try this workout because it is exactly what you need: ua-cam.com/video/aK8oyV7LBX0/v-deo.html My ENTIRE FREE PRENATAL PROGRAM takes all the guess work out and you'd be crazy not to snag it because it will save you tons of time AND ensure you are being safe. From 33 weeks onward, know you can continue to use any of my 2nd or 3rd trimester workouts listed for 27 weeks onward on the schedule as long as your body feels up to it. It speaks a lot about you to be taking such good care of yourself (and baby!) this pregnancy! Hope to get to know you more on Instagram.

    • @glowbodypt
      @glowbodypt  2 роки тому

      You can, but not too frequently! You do not want overly strong and tight obliques postpartum because they can pull on the rectus abdominis in the front, exasperating Diastasis Recti postpartum which will exhibit itself in a pooch appearance.

      She has a free prenatal workout program download. It has everything scheduled perfectly, I suggest you look for that in the description. But if you don’t want to, I suppose you could do this video every other day? You want to be sure to let your muscles rest and recover. Good luck on your pregnancy!🤗🤰

    So on the last exercise is it normal to have one side stronger than the other? I struggle a lot more when lifting right leg up to right arm

      Most women struggle with imbalances-- this is what you have. Following my free prenatal schedule will get you started at correcting your imbalances because we sometimes do isolateral training (one side at a time) to specifically injury proof the body and increase symmetry! Hey Ashley I’m pregnant with baby #5! My last pregnancy was a miscarriage and working out helped me feel so good in my skin. My question is what workout can I do when I can’t go on a 30 minute outdoors

      Dalia, congrats on your pregnancy with your 5th! You can do my indoor cardio workouts when you cannot get outside to walk for 30 min. You NEED to try my new Christmas workout this week though! ua-cam.com/video/GCmQKS-9BFo/v-deo.html

    I had a quick question. When doing the last exercise there is a line down the middle of my stomach is that my old diastis recti resurfacing or normal?

    • @glowbodypt
      @glowbodypt  3 роки тому +1

      If the line is directly POINTY, like the tip of a triangle, you should lay off of that exercise for right now. If it's just bulging as in muscles are turned on and contracting, this is not reason for concern.

    Hi Ashley, I noticed when I do that last exercise I get a shooting pain through my pelvic floor muscles. Only when I do it on one side though?? I am only five weeks so it is definitely not lightning crotch pains or anything like that. What am I doing wrong here?

      Most likely because your body is rapidly changing as the baby is growing! Your ligaments are stretching, plus the hormones and just about everything is happening. You might want to do an easier alternative step during the workout that's going to be more convenient for you and slowly build you way to the original step! Don't be too hard on your body. Take it easy, mama! 💗

      Any time you feel a shooting pain, that's your body's red flag telling you to Lay Off. Doesn't mean you can't try this again in a few weeks, but for now, relaxin hormone is elevated (which increases elasticity) and your uterus is already preparing for baby to grow. Go ahead and snag my free prenatal plan and make a goal of starting that once you're 8 weeks, listening to your body and only doing what feels right for you!

      Skip anything that doesn't feel good for you during pregnancy! Relax hormones are elevated, making us more suseptible to joint injuries than when we are not pregnant. I recommend standing dumbbell side bends instead.

    I am wondering if you know of some way to minimize/get rid of love handles while pregnant? I had them slightly before I got pregnant, but it seems like they are growing!! :( I am 22 weeks! Thanks!

    When I do these, I don’t feel my obliques, but I feel my buttocks working hard. What am I doing wrong?

    • @glowbodypt

      You will feel your gluteus medius (side of your glutes) and should feel your obliques too- try increasing your weights a bit.
