So let me guess... you prefer the Infiniti QX56 over this? I'll be honest I would take the Infiniti considering the price point and has the same capabilities as this!
I made a mistake. I meant to say Infiniti QX80. For some reason I kept saying QX85, which is the old platform not based on the new Nissan Armada and known around the world as the Nissan Patrol. I'd say the Infiniti QX80 is more modern than, and just as luxurious as, this Lexus LX570. Thanks for watching!

The Infiniti does not have a Center Locking Diff. It uses some odd braking system to simulate it. I saw that you never engaged it. I own a 2017 LX. too bad no places to go offroad near Los Angeles

The Infinit QX 80 resale value is trash
I understand if you don’t like the LX there’s a special car for you. It seems like the Kia telluride is more your speed.
The new LX is much better.
@@RoadandTract twinTurbo engine gets about 200,000 miles before you have to buy a turbo, TwinTurbo are about $8000.
5.7 has been proven to go about 800,000 miles with no issues. The downside is this is the gas mileage is not good.

Honestly, Lx570 is the most capable and reliable suv car you ever think of. the guy testing this vehicle sounds like he doesn’t like it or something in his mind not ok.
Lx570 will keep functioning properly after many many years of using ( keep this thing in mind)

2:50 Point of Climate concierge vs auto is, Auto only deals with AC/heating for the cabin. Concierge does that and controls the front seats AC/Heating as well. So it's a set and forget sort of thing ;) Every button in there is there for a reason but i agree some of them could have been placed better. A typical owner of such vehicle would not go offroading straight after taking delivery of their vehicle, which is what you have seem to done. They would take the time to understand what the functions are of the buttons that they do not understand.
Yes, but right next to the seat heating and cooling buttons is an "auto" button. So if the seats are set to auto and the climate is set to auto, what's the point in having a "climate concierge" button?
@@RoadandTract See, if you read the manual, you'd know this :D The auto function only controls the aircon temp and fan speed. The Concierge function is tied up to infrared sensors throughout the cabin and other sensors in the seats to detect which seats within the vehicle are actually occupied and then controls the aircon, seats and steering wheel temperatures accordingly. It's more intelligent than the auto function. Eg: if you have no front seat passenger and only rear seat passengers, the auto function will turn on the ventilation systems for the entire cabin, where as in Climate Concierge, more energy will be prioritized to keep the actually occupied seats comfortable than the unoccupied ones and eventually turn off the unoccupied side of the cabin/seats ventilation systems to conserve energy ;)

Also, I have owned 2 and I take them off-road, I am glad they have the off-road features.
You need to do a head to head off-toad with the Infiniti, maybe then you will understand.
The low profile tires don't help.

To keep it on “Hi” mode you have to run it on 4Lo otherwise it will keep going back to normal once you hit 18mph.
My Q7 lowers at higher speeds too. I have heard land rovers do the same. Someone mentioned it has to do with safety crash ratings, the cars can pass in low mode but not in high. I’m sure there is an override.
its funny to cal this offroading.. i realy laughed when you guys crosed the "river" . jez guys, this is the most capable luxury of-roader available that can go a milion km. my Range blew her engine at 72000 kms.i went for 570 this time. its a dream!

Lexus LX 570’s general specs are for luxury and road driving, but it’s off-roading capabilities are more of emergency/rough terrained scenarios
First of all it's not a qx85 its a qx80. Two you keep calling this car old when Infiniti hasnt changed the car since 2011 either, just the badge from qx56 to qx80. My 2012 qx56 transmission started dying at 72k miles. Had my timing chain replaced twice. Had a terrible times selling it even under warranty. Im not sure why you sre a Nissan fan boy but it's the worst vehicle ever made. Crappy resale. As for the car you are driving. If you had gotten the luxury trim the the arm rest is a cool box. If you cheap out and get the base model you get what you pay for. If you had ever driven any Lexus lx470 or land land cruiser or gx460 or even the gx470 you wouldnt need a manual ro drive this car. You put a monkey in the car you only geta monkey pushing buttons and screaming.

I agree. This offroad pig isn't anything worth what dealers want to charge. You could get a RAV4 just in the markup alone. Perhaps tou should work harder?

I know this is an old video but if you let off the brake it will raise into high. It will not raise into high with the brakes pushed.

Dude is stoned. I've had mine (3 row) for 3 years. Smooth, comfy on and off-road. I have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to comfort. My 12 year old son knows how to use the controls. Common sense prevails.

I agree there a million and one buttons that after getting a masters degree on the operation of this vehicle work well but it is a pain to get to know the vehicle. And all those buttons.
The Grenadier has more buttons but they make sense versus what Toyota did here.

Watching this while driving my LX 570 on a 2000 mile road trip to go pick up another Lexus and tell her back I would never dream of having a damn Nissan is he serious I have rented the Nissan and the Infiniti as a rental when I have flown into different cities and it’s so terrible it’s so sloppy on the road and everything feels so cheap in there is he kidding me is he literally kidding me I know this is a whole video but how dare you and then he literally shows you where your cell phone goes and then complains that he has no place to put his cell phone, sir the little area you’re talking about is most likely the charging port for your iPhone stick it in a little cubby you’re not supposed to use it while you’re driving in the first place, sir

d hoffman nope this shares a platform with the 200 series toyota land cruiser. People buy these to take to soccer practice but the land cruiser is a better buy if you want to modify and lift since it doesnt have the adjustable suspension that limits aftermarket support in terms of lifts

I had the qx 56 Infiniti wouldnt cover my transmission under warranty. Theres a Reason Infiniti as a brand is dying. I bought an LX and i well never go back.

This is more of a luxury family hauler then off-roader..
It's a great family hauler when going offroad though :D say you're taking the family out for camping, this is an excellent, comfortable, powerful, and reliable car that can go places while carrying 7 people and all of your stuff, and have a nice coolbox for drinks, TV for movies and stuff, etc.
You should see what they do with it in Russia.... You'd be surprised how good it is

Disagree. The off road capabilities for this vehicle go far beyond emergency use only. By the time an LX 570 reaches its second or third owner they typically become dedicated off-road vehicles. The biggest problem with the LX 570 is that when you spend 100K on a car you are too afraid to take it off road.
