Well done. I found the new tin pieces that clip to the calipers did not fit the slots in the pads easily. It was a real challenge, even after cleaning rust away and lubricating them.
@@WoodchuckCanuck you probably wouldn't replace them anyway cuz they barely get used, they're only used for parking not actually stopping the truck, so they wouldn't actually be any wear on those parking brake shoes.

My 2000 2500HD had t-55 torx bolts, not 20mm.

You can use a C clamp and youse the old pad to decompress them booth
My 06 has torx socket head bolts and the caliper assembly needs to be removed before these bolts can be loosened.
I ran into this problem today, what size torx socket is it, I need to buy one
I would have appreciated seeing how the parking brake shoes were replaced too. You replace them so why not cover that?

Mine only has caliper bracket bolts the other two are round with a hole in the middle
