I do appreciate them and am encouraged by them. So grateful to have you as a Berta Jay Trouper. If you want to know more about being a Trouper, do watch this video when you get the chance:

After drinking hibiscus tea, it is recommended to rinse out your mouth because it’s acidic like lemon juice, but wait at least 30 minutes before brushing your teeth after drinking anything acidic. You don’t want to to damage your tooth enamel. (Per Dr. Greger)
Also, you can cold brew hibiscus tea.
    P. a. I love your videos!

I just finished chemotherapy treatments...and I got hooked on cold brew herbal teas to increase my fluids. So good and freshing! I made fruited simple syrups to LIGHTLY sweeten the teas. I did 5 bags to 2 quarts of water and refrigerated it overnight.

I have been making ginger tea this last few weeks from the fresh root after getting sick. I wasn’t sure how long to simmer it, so it’s nice to see how you do it. I drink chamomile tea every day because I used to have trouble sleeping in the past and I had read that it also helps with respiratory allergies, and it does seem to take the edge off. I have a box of hibiscus tea on the shelf that I never drink because it’s so tart 😬 I know someone who was drinking beet juice and hibiscus tea and it lowered her blood pressure, so it works…but I’m not a medical professional either 😁

Berta Jay, you are so healthy! I just love your videos! I am allergic to ragweed so I skip the chamomile and use lemon balm and passionflower mix for sleeping. My patio garden will be smaller this year so I will be purchasing many of my herbs from the coop this spring and summer to make things easier on myself. Everyone tells me chamomile is really best if you can drink it. I am a huge ginger fan too. My son makes tea for himself and his wife from fresh ginger but I have not tried to make my own yet. I eat some candied ginger every day myself for my arthritis. I do like premade teas with it in them. I will try making my own tisane this month. Thank you, for the easy instructions.

You should always pour hot water over the tea; not put tea into hot water. The brewing process works much better when water is poured over tea, not tea immersed in water. It’s a little known issue in America, but it impacts how the tea brews and impacts both the taste and the benefits of the tea; always do water over tea, not tea into water.

Baking soda is excellent. Salt water rinse, too.

Too bad Berta Jay is not a medical professional 😀

That could be a good thing. Medical “professionals” are in a very very controlled system right from med school. That system is geared for profit ONLY! That system has been politicized. It’s traded on Wall Street. It controls their education, all their journals, all their research, all diagnostics, treatments, medications and rehabs. They even control end of life issues now. People like Berta Jay use evidence based science, and they share their knowledge free of charge. They’ve earned my trust!
