exhaust valve actually 4 settings. closed, open comfort, open sport, and open sport+. open the door when you change the setting and you can hear the valve move. basically with the daihler it opens all the way to the "open sport+" setting all the time. The reason people say the valves don't open all the way is because most people start the car in comfort with the valve open and that does in fact doesn't open all the way. BUT the sport+ does open the valve all the way.
the stock muffler is also part of the aero of the car underneath btw. aftermarket companies a lot of them doesn't take that into considerations.

Certainly, and the valves will open almost to full when the throttle is at full, and rpm’s are running up! But, in my case, I wanted the valves fully open all the time for example to hear the exhaust at the full rev range 👊🏼

Good info. Can't you just set start with valves closed?

Thank you, and yes you can program it to start open or closed. Starting closed causes more of a rattle than open 😅

Feel ur pain here. Dinan Midpipe only w/Dahler controller. I can only set valves open or default (aka closed) with the Dahler, so cold start always opens them up.
To avoid the scolding eyes and eye rolls on startup, I’ve made a habit of remote starting. I can show up 5 minutes later and everyone there at cold start is gone

@@paulchan446i have the miltek controller. Either fully closed (as comfort/eco mode) fully open OR OEM controlled. And it remembers the setting you turned it off with.

How do you like the overhead storage you have in the garage? I have been considering something like this for a while.
