    Hi victor, thanks for recommending the felt vanford drag disk to me. After ordering your reel grease and those felt disk it fixed my problem immediately with the soare xr spinning reel and your 125 floats have caught me a lot of trout recently. Would you like a picture of the floats with the trout? Awesome products and keep up the good work look forward to more ifish products.😊

    Hi Victor, in one of your videos, you talked about sealing cork handle of the rod with a certain product. I can’t find the video again where you mentioned it. What product do you recommend?

    • @ifishcatfish
      @ifishcatfish  5 місяців тому

      I use oil based polyurethane but if you want to find the video search my channel for HOW TO SEAL. Polyurethane is not for everyone.. some say its a health hazard, too shiny and whatnot.. I show all the other products in that video

    Hello, great and soothing video. you recently recommended vanford to me.. what do you mean "they don't feel smooth"?

      oh.. i can't go that rabbit hole again... i have compared these reels a thousand times. Its a great reel, but daiwas just feel smoother because of magseal. But the magseal creates other problems.

      4 lb Varivas Teitchmaster is on all my float rigs. The Kestrel got a different line because i wasnt planning on keeping it and used half a spool of line i had left..

    Mr. Victor I need advice on something.
    I just bought some Moonshine Crappie Swimmers (1.5 inches). Would you recommend the 1.25g #10 or the 1.5g #10 BG-1 for installation?

    • @ifishcatfish
      @ifishcatfish  5 місяців тому +1

      I thought the gentleman who makes these passed away. Maybe his wife runs the business now? He was one of my first supporters, back when my channel had 1000 subs..
      Anyway, as far as installation it makes no difference, since the hook is the same. The 1.5 will run better if u fish deeper than 10 foot. If u fish 10 foot or less, the 1.25 gram is enough. But whichever you chose, make sure you get at least one pack of the other. They look a little different and are so pretty - u have to see them both..

    Hey there, hope all is well. Firstly just wanted to see if there were any updates on the gloves. Secondly I purchased my rods before I found your channel so just wanted your advice on my set up. I have 2 St. Croix rods. First one is the avid series panfish spinning 7 foot rod extra fast action with a daiwa bg 2500 reel. Second one is a panfish series spinning 7 foot rod extra fast action with a daiwa legalis lt 2000d (blue/silver model). My question is what reels would you suggest I get for one or both of them to get the most out of them?

    • @ifishcatfish
      @ifishcatfish  5 місяців тому +1

      On the gloves... they were shipped on April 3rd, and the maximum it takes is 1 month.. so at most two weeks, but i am really hoping that i get them next week.

    • @ifishcatfish
      @ifishcatfish  5 місяців тому

      On the rods and reels combos... i hate both of those rods. There is nothing you can get out of them. The BG is saltwater reel that is heavy as a brick. I don't know what channel u were watching to get your tackle recommendations, but that is NOT ultralight tackle! The only piece of tackle that you have that is good is the blue legalis. That is a good reel. That reel deserves a nice rod. Honestly... i hate to say that, but you should check my 2024 Reel Buying Guide and my 2024 Rod Buying guide and make a combo entirely from those guides, depending on your budget. I strongly recommend that if you want to focus on ultralight fishing. If you are bass fishing or heavier fishing that ultralight, then your tackle might be OK.. i don't know.. my main expertise is ultralight fishing

      i DID, and the mofkr shipped them to the wrong address! Now we are trying to get UPS to go pick them from the wrong company and give them back to me but its a huge pain. But if i get lucky, they should be here soon. I have 0.6 gram with size 12 hook and 0.75 gram with size 10 hook. The 0.6 gram jigs are made from the 1 gram molds and the 0.75 gram jigs are made from the 1.25 gram molds, but they are done with a different metal alloy that doesn't have lead, so they are lighter. Also better for environment if u snag.
