PC and Playstation Ghostbusters Survival Car Simulator was pretty damned good!

I've been looking forward to this since the initial trailer, I am glad to see it's doing well enough to impress you.
Ya was surprised actually
Had this wishlisted since march last year. I had a good feeling but its so reassuring to hear it confirmed from a trusted source. Bring on February.
Fingers crossed!
Even if I don't end up playing this game, I'm so glad to see games like this created. I love to see original ideas getting a chance. I hope it's a hit.
The demo was really fun.
Been following this one since they announced and I'm so glad to hear you had a good time with it. This felt like one of those games that was made for me.
Echoing a lot of the sentiment here: this one seems to have grabbed a really dedicated group early on, so excited for this to finally be out
As a huge fan of American Station Wagons, who has owned 6 of them, this game looks perfect!
Bring back the station wagons!
Once had a 1990 Toyota Corolla DX wagon in the family for almost 30 years.
@MetallicBlade My father had a Orange 1970 Datsun 510 Wagon, which would be worth a small fortune today.
@@vinniecorleone62 My dad had an old Buick Sport Wagon. I still remember family trips in that old thing. Bring back the station wagon!
@@Seoul_Soldier Sounds nice, I had a clean Buick Century Wagon.
I got one when I was younger cause I loved that 70’s show. Thought I was a complete badass. 🤣
I am really gonna need Sony to fight for VR in this one.
Half Life 2, Mad Max, Rage 2, Days Gone; these are games that helped me develop a tangible bond with my in-game vehicles.
Pacific Drive looks like a perfect gestation of this particular novelty that just may be exactly what I've been looking for.
Time for a Sunday drive...
Agreed!
Highly recommend you try out the FAR series
My parents owned a Ford Country Squire in the 80's. Wood panel and all. So this game is totally is going on the wishlist.
Oh damn!
When STALKER SOC meet My summer car. What a combo that I never knew we needed!
Maybe it’s not a fully sound comparison but this game reminds me a lot of Outer Wilds and the feelings that game elicits. The isolation and tantalizing bits of narrative wrapped up in exploration and bonding with your vehicle.
So, Outer Wilds plus a bit of Stalker and Half Life?
Glad I'm not the only one who thought of the Ecto-1 when seeing this game!
One of my most anticipated games this year along with Nivalis and Enshrouded. '24 is going to be a big year for Indie and AA and I'm here for it.
Totally new title to me, I'm not sure how this flew under my radar. I enjoyed your video and have also wishlisted. Looking forward to this in February!
This game is basically Karak's spirit animal.
THIS is true
Cheers Karak. I heard of this one but knew very little about it except that some were comparing it to The Long Drive.
Your preview has pulled me in so I'll be keeping a closer eye on this one.
Thanks and have a great week.
@@ACGreviews You too.
These simlike car mechanics combined with weapons and a nice groovy story would be perfect for a new version of Interstate 76
I think these developers could pull this off
Ah I’m so glad to hear this, I don’t usually go for survival games very often but I’m really looking forward to this one.
First time I saw this I thought to myself, this looks kinda fun. after hearing you it only solidifies that hunch. A game that just makes wanna keep going despite the bit of panic stress inducing driving and staying alive is a game worth sinking some time into.
5:17 loved the mistery machine reference 😊
Been interested in this since I saw it, even more so after your video. Thanks for covering it! Odd to see that shared sentiment about wanting to pet the car in a few places, sounds like it's quite a unique game, also love the style, reminding me slightly of Signal from Tolva I think it was called (but might just be insane)
Interesting!
As soon as I saw this game my gut told me this was gonna be for me. I love the caRPG aspects from Mad Max and the abandoned yet beautiful world of Death Stranding or Everybody's Gone the The Rapture.
I'll be checking this one out for sure. Looks spooky. Thanks for the preview ACG.
This was a great preview and very interesting insight into this game. While it may not be something I get myself, I do look forward to watching more and hearing more discussions about this game. Its always neat to see something different and unique pop up.
Oh man I'm gonna play tf outta this aren't I
Where the hell did this game come from!? Thank You for this look at a game I will most likely love!
These kinds of games are always a bit sneaky
I like that the car isn't a camaro or a Lamborghini but a common mundane car that you can plausibly own in real life.
AGREED for sure
What, you don't own a Lamborghini? Pfft, peasants.(jk, I love u)
Ah man I can't WAIT for this. Thanks for the video!
Really can’t wait for this one.. didn’t know it existed and haven’t been this excited for an indie in a while
Leaving a comment to increase engagement. Hope this year grants the biggest growth for this great channel
I stood too close to to the rear while I closed the trunk and I hit myself on the head with it, lowering my health slightly.
That was the moment I realized this game is something new.
Seems interesting, especially with the Lost, From, and Fire watch comparisons
Wow never heard of this and now it's on my short list. Looks really unique. Exciting.
The presentation and the way devs talked about this when it was unveiled remains one of the most memorable moments from recent gaming events to me.
I was hooked when I saw the 1st trailer for this. I love vehicle centric games, and this is almost the exact kind of game I've been wanting for a while. The only thing I'd like is for some light gunplay, like, maybe they add that in future DLC if they keep working on it post-release. More survival style gunplay, though. Kind of like Amnesia The Bunker-style, where every bullet matters in a life or death situation. I feel like that could work with a game like this. Regardless, I'm happy to see this game is coming along well. I can't wait to try it myself.
This game really reminds me of the game My Summer Car. Martincitopants has made great videos on My Summer Car which is where I discovered it. Anyway I'm very glad this game is turning out to be great so far.
Its a nuts combo of ideas. Still a bit crazy it seems to be working
Awesome. I will check that one out
@@ACGreviews I should say that by "great video" I meant funny but yeah you should check out the game.
It looks like an easy grind game, then it starts to kick and wrenches get thrown in the cogs. It’s super fun.
This looks incredible. Always wanted a mad max game like this. The last one did well but not nearly enough long journeys with your car, fixing it up as you go.
This is basically a driving simulator for western Washington. From the Columbia River to the San Juan Islands, even the supernatural elements feel authentic to the real life experience.
This game is looking awesome, now I have more of an idea of what it may play like too, looking forward to release!
It was on my radar but these details got me super excited! Can’t wait!
Gonna be a "wild ride" boom. Pun intended on that one
Don't think I've ever seen anything like this before.
It's certainly got my attention.
Had this game on my radar for months since Abzy mentioned it on the podcast a while back
It turned out to be way better than expected in the preview
"Weird Wagon" paint job? YES!
I am looking forward to the full review after its release.
I would cry, if they'd bring this to PSVR2 - seems to be a perfect fit. Just think about really sitting in that car and looking at the map by ... really looking at it :D
Oh hey! Nice! This is finally getting close to coming out then. Fantastic. Been looking forward to it
We need a Day 1 update with "pet the car" mechanic included...
I do enjoy your reviews (and previews) 😊
This is definitely the most interesting Survival game to release, but I wonder what the end game could be?
These devs and the mudrunner devs should collab for a tremors game
This is one I been waiting for since I saw the first teaser video. Got me more interested!
National Lampoon's Family Vacation 1979 Ford LTD Country Squier Wagon, hell yeah!
Straight up ya
I’ve got this game wishlisted. Can’t wait to play it.
When I see these fantastical stories that take place in the Pacific Northwest like this, Twin Peaks, etc. I wonder how much of these stories are the fevered dreams of the PNW sidewalk squatters in between getting their next hit and assaulting strangers.
I'm not a huge fan of complex crafting games, but something about this game really intrigues me.
Look's right up my lane. Early Saturday afternoon on a Steam Deck
Hell ya
Only saw the trailer for this the other day, def be picking this up.
looks like the UI from Hardspace Ship Breaker / alien isolation. looks like an interesting game
Oh handt thought about that but ya I guess you are right
So…this is the origin story of the ecto-1 from ghostbusters?
That would be incredible man.
SUPER excited for this!
I was just checking some details about the game hyping about it's release. Great coincidence, thanks for the review!
You bet!
The interactivity of the car looks fuckin rad. I hope this turns out well. Certainly gives me a lot of love labor vibes.
This seems hella awesome, I'm very intrigued by the little I've seen, hope they stick the landing
Leaving that comment to pump the algo juice! As always, love the content, karak!
Any word on a VR version? Just some of the interactions looks like they would make sense for VR.
The devs said they weren't currently planning on it, but acknowledged that it's something people were interested in. I hope it happens eventually!
@@stevebob240 yeah that would be really cool, seems perfect for VR.
Definitely one of my most anticipated games this year. Hoping it delivers!
No wheel support is the dumbest decision ever. They are leaving millions of sales on the table.
That crowbar reminds me of Half Life. Have the game on wishlist since first trailer.
I'm actually really curious and excited for this 😊😊😊
There's a missed opportunity here for a "slap roof of car" button
you already know the lore and fan theories are gonna go crazy in this game
I hope there is a demo at some point.
I didnt know this existed so thanks for bringing it to us Lord Karak. 🖤
You bet enjoy and have a good week
@@ACGreviews Thanks man, same goes to you!
A car-centric immersive sim? Interesting!
Been really looking forward to this game since it was announced, based off the title alone I can hopefully assume it’s good.
It was pretty damned awesome
This would be sick in VR
How was mouse and keyboard controls? Did the driving feel good with them?
Hopefully this will work nicely with UEVR. If so im very much looking forward to this.
Can't wait to play this on my steam deck.
This seems great, but is it compatible with a wheel?
Just watching it makes me want to spin my hands.
So how do the roguelike mechanics play into it? Are there permanent upgrades like Hades? Does the story do a good job of fitting into the roguelike gameplay loop?
I like supernatural station wagon simulator.
Not sure if it's for me, but it does look really cool. I hope it sells well so the developer can keep going.
is it a long game? Whats the gameplay lenght in full game? Any comments from devs?
This is a LOOOOOONG game. It's basically made to be played cause you actually just enjoy the game loop and the story is just the carrot on the stick.
This is Roadside Picnic. Read the book, you'll see what I mean.
The horrifying thing with this game is that there are six weeks to go before this game releases.
Always looking for the next great rogue-like. Seems very fun. Praise unique games!
On my way to Cabo. Got just enough time to watch the vid before plane takes off.
Enjoy it!
It looks fun and well made, but I can't help but feel that it would do better in a larger game with more systems. Like it is missing something. I felt the same way about Death Stranding.
Disagree since adding more systems would drag down the main component of it
this is a day 1 game for me absolutely love it
Reminds me alot of the Buggy sections of Half Life 2.
Just pre ordered the ps5 physical
Looks pretty intriguing
Although I'm sure it's completely different, seeing this game in action gives me minor Choo Choo Charles vibes.
Its a unique on for sure
Will there be a VR mode?
This looks fun! Very different!
