We did Moderno which the meat was tuff, and hibachi which actually was good. Buffet is not the best, Restaurants were ok. I got sick from Shanghai's. A lot of folks in our FB group complained about everything and to top it off, alot got covid and I got it too
We have been on a fair number of cruises over the last 10 years (2 or 3 a year) and since Covid things have definitely gotten worse especially with complimentary food but saying that it’s very hit and miss as some have been fantastic and it’s a lot about what you expect and the ship itself. We are on the Breakaway in under 2 weeks so will see how it goes. First time for this ship but 4th NCL cruise I think. In general if you want very good complimentary food it’s more like Azamara, Princess, Celebrity etc you need to cruise with. In general NCL, Royal Caribbean etc are the mid tier of free food. Msc is poor more like school dinners for complimentary food so with them I would recommend an extra dining package. All have a significant upgrade to eating in the specialty restaurants especially MSC.
Hate to say, just got off it last week, great crew but that's it. Food was horrible and 1 pool for 4000 people. NCL should be embarrassed about this ship. Kids everywhere too, we went the wrong time.
Yes, I would also like to know which restaurants were bad and whether or not any of them were speciality dining. We've heard nothing but accolades for Le Bistro, Teppanyaki, and the Haven restaurant. Oh, and Ocean Blue--we've heard wonderful things about that dining area as well.
