I have travelled through Tanzania twice -- camping in national parks -- with photographs to remind me how very, very fortunate to have been to see such breathtaking animals and landscapes. Filled with gratitude!
My 3 brothers & myself were born in Tanga, Tanganyika (now Tanzania) and I spent 16 yrs if my life living in different Sisal Estates. Africa has a way of growing in you and come to love her. Best years of my childhood with many stories to tell. Miss her. ❤
As a third grader in the mid 1960s, my very first black teacher taught us how to write reports. At the beginning of the year, she told us to pick a main topic. Mine was African animals. We had several books in the classroom on Lake Tanganyika and the animals that used the lake. It was those animals that I wrote my reports about for the rest of the year. My first was on cheetahs. Then elephants, hyenas and crocodiles. As an animal lover, I know that Africa is heaven on Earth! I know, as I have studied her all my life!

Beautiful CBS Sunday Morning
I had Toto stuck in my head while watching this. Such a beautiful continent. Thank you for bringing a glimpse of it to us!

Hard to believe there's still a place like this left😢
Need to protect these places

A majestic place 🔥
National Geographic as I grew up reading to life!❤
Not a whole lot of rain out there. Hardly any brush vegetation , mostly trees. So the existing ones must have deep roots to get to some water.
Not true, there are plenty of water and all the animals know where to go for it
First viewer 😊
