The Upper East Side apartment at the beginning of this piece is a classic NYC apartment: Rent Controlled Walk Up, slanting floors, watercolors and assorted art on the walls and shelves overflowing with scholarly books. I’d move back to NYC in a second if I had a place like that.
I thought of that immediately! My last singleton apartment was in the west village, a micro loft, 8" wood slat factory floors, drafty but incredibly hot radiators when needed, 14' ceilings with triple hung windows. I've lived all over the world bht I always think of that apartment and the neighborhood fondly!!
I love his character on Succession! What a great peak into his youth, family and life. When he spoke about his sister, Dakota, it was bittersweet 💜💔 Looking forward to seeing him in his upcoming film.
My discovery of Kieran today is a threshold to an appreciation of a highly talented newcomer. Great profile. I look forward to seeing the movie "A Real Pain."
I discovered him in the mighty, which was a fabulous movie and i find he was a very good actor. I don't watch actual movies or series, or very rarely, so i didn't knew he was able to continue his carrier, and i'm so glad for him. He look like a dark hair version of Macaulay !
It's funny, whenever I've seen him over the years, I would look at his eyes and face, and I knew there was something strangely familiar about him, but I couldn't figure out what it was. I certainly never wondered if he was related at all to the kid from home alone.
Sorry about your sister, Kieran. While doing an Off-Broadway internship I lived briefly in a crummy shoebox apt. on West 4th st. No way I'm revisiting that place! I like him and Jesse but I wonder if a back-slapping buddy comedy is the best approach to a Holocaust movie. Kate Winslet's "Lee" is probably a better depiction of the life-altering horror of visiting the death camps.
Roman Roy was the youngest child, not middle child. Fun fact: Kieran Culkin is older than Sarah Snook by over five years, who played the older sister, Siobhan Roy.
Actually you're wrong, Roman is canonically the middle child. Shiv is the youngest. This has been confirmed by Jesse Armstrong (buy the script books to see this). Roman being the youngest child is just fandom making stuff up.
Succession (which is the reason he’s relevant in 2024) was created by a Brit, the main director was a Brit, nearly the entire writers room was Brits, and like half the central cast members were non-Americans (incl. a Brit).
I'm not sure we should compares them, it's unfair to put a value or judgement on this, when you know that Macaulay had been put under pressure by their father that was abusive and materialist, to win money. His parents made disput about him on the tribunals, because he represented a lot of money for them. That's the reason why Macaulay stopped their carrier. So it's sad that you judge this situation like that. We shouldn't compares their talents, because saddly they didn't had the same chance. Even if he found ways to continue his carrier.
Maaan….he just has that quality…instantly likable. Comes across as genuine and sincere.
It's good to see him grow into being a successful actor and man.
And without an ego like his sister Macaulay, who could've been in Kieran's shoes right now.
@@anchorpoint3631 ...sister?
@@BROJANGSTER What's the matter, sister?
Can't believe he's 42 now! I'm glad that he's still successful as an actor and living happily!
For anyone who hasn’t seen A Real Pain, I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
Something about him and Macaulay just seem so likeable. You find yourself cheering for them.

Just a fantasy. Now 1500 for a shoebox.
@@steveconn That would be a bargain!!
That apartment was legit as hell. Love Old New York ❤
Saw him in IGBY GOES DOWN when it hit dvd and loved him instantly! It felt like the closest we'll ever come to a "Catcher in the Rye" film.
He is such a good actor! Great story.😊
Love him and Macaulay
He’s a stellar talent and I enjoyed watching him grow up into a compassionate and cool person.
Absolutely love him! I have loved Kieran since igby goes down. So happy he doing this work again !❤
I love his character on Succession! What a great peak into his youth, family and life. When he spoke about his sister, Dakota, it was bittersweet 💜💔 Looking forward to seeing him in his upcoming film.
Kieran Culkin has become an accomplished actor. I love his performance in Igby Down Under.
I'm not familiar with him, but I really like him. He's adorable, down to earth, smart, observant, and more.
He was amazing in “Succession”
My discovery of Kieran today is a threshold to an appreciation of a highly talented newcomer. Great profile. I look forward to seeing the movie "A Real Pain."
love Kieran so much. So nice guy and brilliant actor
Sorry for your loss, Kieran! 😢
I love igby goes down still, love the Culkins truly 🤍bless them
He seems like a very nice guy.
❤Fantastic interview. ❤Fantastic Kieran❤love from Finland
The Oscar is next for Kieran Culkin.
People were so harsh on him. I wish him all the best.
Yeah, people obviously got him mixed up with Macaulay
I miss him sooooo much in Succession. He brought the series. He said and did what most think and want to do. 💔
It's so lovely to see him grow and thrive ✨️ 💙
Love me some Roman Roy. Only Kieran can make someone as sociopathic as Roman that charming.
Him and his brother are great actors.
kieran is such a treasure. so glad for him getting the recognition he deserves

He’s great.
Wow, I like and respect Kieran Culkin now❤
FULLER! 😂
Love that Kieran has a Mortal Kombat arcade cabinet!
No Pepsi for Fuller
He's so good at everything he's in, he really should be a household name.
This was probably what Jennifer Lopez had in mind when she once walked by her old house 😂
That’s funny
Man I miss Succession and that whole chaotic family so much 😂😂
Love the Culkins!
Whenever I have a Pepsi, I think of this guy.
Roman ❤❤❤❤❤
He reminds me a little of Toby maguire , at least when he was younger
I would die for him
“Roman, when you laugh please do it at the same volume as everyone else. We didn’t get you at a hyena farm!”
Sounds like a very cool new york upbringing 🎉🎉🎉🌠🌠
I would love to see him in a film with Galifianakis. They are almost like brothers
I’ve got the biggest crush on him
Kieran (Fuller), go easy on the Pepsi!
Sweetheart.
Roman all the way.
So freaked out at seeing Mo Rocca...
??? He is on the show every week.
I used to want to marry him lol🤣🤣
They never mention how great he was in Fargo.
It's funny, whenever I've seen him over the years, I would look at his eyes and face, and I knew there was something strangely familiar about him, but I couldn't figure out what it was. I certainly never wondered if he was related at all to the kid from home alone.
Could tell in his acting he's got a lot of RDJ influence
❤
Please, no Marvel! Those movies are little more than explosions of CGI.
Strange facial expressions of the interviewer. I’d be so confused.
Nowhere to Run! With JCVD
Thats what I remember him from 😅
(question: "JCVD")
@ Jean Claude Van Damme
I just want to know why Fuller switched from Pepsi to Coke between H.A. 1 and 2
Mo?

Hahaha that's a good idea for America and the World to be a little bit of the
I been knew that he’s the brother of Macaulay Culkin who was known for playing Kevin from Home Alone
He even looks just like him
i cringed when he was the kid in that jean claude van damme movie lacking all reason and decency. talented kid though...

Came here to find this fact check!

Shiv was the youngest.
Not true-Shiv is the youngest in the Roy family.
This guy thinks he’s so fkn neat
too damn annoying...sorry...
It’s so nice seeing American actors playing Americans.. so much of our industry is being handed off to the English without much thought …
Succession (which is the reason he’s relevant in 2024) was created by a Brit, the main director was a Brit, nearly the entire writers room was Brits, and like half the central cast members were non-Americans (incl. a Brit).
Nepo bro.
Much better than his brother as an actor
I'm not sure we should compares them, it's unfair to put a value or judgement on this, when you know that Macaulay had been put under pressure by their father that was abusive and materialist, to win money. Maybe better, but he'll never be as famous as his brother who hasn't acted for 30 years.
Who?
(suggestion for any guest of any future video similar to this one: rules against vulgar (or profane) language)
I found him too annoying in Succession. That show was just spewing financial mumbo jumbo and ran too long.
…. Yet you watched it. Uh-huh.
When does the new movie come out? I want to see it 🥲
Released November 1st.
