Absolutely was the nicest bonus material ever! Moly is a natural behind the camera. Sweetest daughter anyone could have. Jay you are the coolest dad.👍❤️🇨🇦
Quietly been following as a single dad who has an autistic son that is funding, and building his first drift car, an R31, powered by SOHC 4L from an AU falcon.. We've come from North QLD down to Calder for the LZ tour and it's been an inspiration to see your builds in the flesh. It may not feel like it, but you are inspiring the next generation to do something different. Hats off to you lads.
19 and a type 1 diabetic trying to do a LS 5.3 bolted to t56 transmission in a Lexus is300, trying to start my own fabrication shop and start out by building my car, headers, front and rear bash bars, and eventually if I’m good enough at tig and have a bough practice knock out my own cage and see how that is, go show it off around the state and see what type of people are interested, maybe spread the word and work!!
Thank you so much I really appreciate that. I hope I had a chance to talk to you guys it was so busy and just a blur now. If I’m ever at an event you guys are at please msg me I would love to take you for a drive or just hang out.
Engine sounds tough, stoked you got it all together, happy to be involved once again! Can't figure out why I love this car so much. Something about it for sure
Found yourself another sub here in the states you bloody legend you ! Found out about you from Rudniks video today and have binged some of your videos since Jay loving the awesome Aussie content and the 2J Odyssey !
A Prairie was one of the first cars I ever drove Jay, back in the 80's, they should have come from the factory with a 2JZ !! haha :) Awesome build mate :)
Seeing your daughter when you started it brought back memories of when i was 11 or so and my dad put a new engine in his stag and decided to start it with open headers and me leaning against his front wing, 11 year old me ran out the the unit from the noise of an unsilenced v8.
good to see Clint still has the RX3. Way back in the day, we worked at pizza hut, delivering pizza. Him in that car (blue at the time) and me in my beautiful bright blue RX3 coupe. Those were the days! haha
I'm in nz and I had 1 of these and I'll never forget how the rear wheels are from factory ....cool cars and cool build love the low and loud NZ style bro
I love watching this channel. Also a big shout-out to Brett and Chris @Shockworks, they are awesome. Helped me out big time when they were developing the AE86 kit. Brett even called me from China where he was doing testing to help me with my setup for the Oakey Street Sprints . I miss my AE86 😢
Can confirm the Shockworks gear is top top top quality, ran it in my evo 9 wagon and it transformed the car that was running on Teins that stank. Took 2 seconds off lap times just with Shockworks suspension. Chris is a master.
The quality of your builds are incredible master pieces. You should definitely build a car for SEMA to show your incredible skills. I dig out of the ordinary unique one of a kind builds. I like the Odyssey but I really like the Datsun Prarie. Keep up the awesome videos
Love this car 100% so gutted I couldnt make the trip down for the lz tour, But 100% need more molly cam.. Watching your ch makes me want to get into the shed and make/build something and seeing you having fun with molly in the workshop gives me ideas about projects i can do with my girls.. my middle child is probs similar age to molly and loves being down there with me.. Give her a camera to follow me around and see what happens.. Thanks Jay keep it up bud!! ❤❤
Thanks so much Yeah molly makes it so much better and now she is really enjoying filming and asking questions it makes it not so bad I’m working so much. Glad I can inspire you:)
Ahh Molly 😂. Man I love the prairie you’ve gone ham on it and it’s exactly what you said it would be I love your vision and how you already see the finished product before you’ve even started 👌🏻👌🏻 keep it up Jay
Greetings from Southwest Texas 🇺🇸 I'm a new Sub to your channel. Ricer Miata shout out turned me on to seeing a true Master Craftsman at work . I'll go to you very first post and start the journey of the work you have done and are working on now. Just from your energy and positive vibes I know you are a very humble person get ready for your channel to blow up and I'll be here on for the ride and would be awesome to shake your hand at drift week whenever that happens. 🍺🍻🍺👌
Thank you so much I’m so glad you found my channel thanks to Chris. Appreciate the kind words and I’m really pushing to make it happen as drift week is a dream of mine.
the chop sounds awesome, very cool build! id love to see ya metal skills an doin a stainless maybe carbon air duct/undertray- front air dam/channel on the front of the oddessy is so gd seeing the shit u build it wpuld b cool to see a more in depth on how the fk y do it, nice work as always bro 🤙
Yeah it does. Sadly I’m always so busy so normally just film after it done. I figure there is so many good channels with step by step builds most people just go there for that kinda stuff. We really focus on the build first and film second.
@@lowstandards5269 oh man don't worry I get it, surely there's cheap camera jockeys somewhere, it would be a great investment to capture some great momenys am content jusss sayyin lol
What are you up to Jay? just drilling a perfectly round.. scratch that, digging a hole in the dash. whoops. fibreglass fix? your cars always sound awesome! thanks for sharing and hope you found some sleep in the lead up to the event too.
We just built a v8 1978 Plymouth arrow it was cool all stock except the back end is all tubbed out we broke in the brand new engine build we put about a 360 Mopar in it felt like riding in a coffin with someone next to you in that car
This motivation technique is known as leveraging a win! It works every time bro. It's how my brain works best also. I can move mountains leveraging a win at the 11th hour.......but I'll fart arse around kicking tins almost bored leading up to something? It's almost like I need the thrill and adrenaline rush in order to operate at my peak performance; and I'll make self sabotage, but then justify my self being put under pressure as "being necessary" to make it? Why we do it to ourselves (knowingly and willingly) may seem crazy or almost demented to people? Like I totally understand why you worked on the Commodore! It's something crazy I would do? But you needed that work on the Commodore to decompress and realign your timeline in your mind as the milestones of this timeline squish..... You also needed that event deadline in order for you to achieve it! If it was a weekend drift meet it would never have happened? Oddly there is so much greater satisfaction making the deadline when you've crammed so much workload in the 1 week prior than the whole entire time previous to that 1 week? It's thrill of riding on a knife edge (any little thing could have ended it - but it didn't) and then the satisfaction afterwards that almost cements reason for why we behave this way? It's not easily explained. I used to drive my mum nuts by "procrastinating" doing an entirely different chore than I was supposed to be doing? But then I'd get everything done (what I was supposed to be doing as well as the additional stuff I used as fuel to wind me up to get primary task accomplished?) I used to drive her batty

work of art. this thing will look so sick on track.

Same so happy with it.

I called it the "carvan" best of both worlds ....and the front seat belts mounted to the doors ....loose design

Didnt even have the crocs in 4x4 at the end there?!
“You dont have to go all the way to china” 🤣
Dunno If it would've helped cause of how fried that dash is but drilling in reverse on plastics has given me good results
I think that would have helped a lot
Too late now sadly
Ah well, memories are more important than dashboards. Keep it up legend!@@lowstandards5269

On small wheels 165-60-14s cheap and look good
Top kkkk😊
Pull your finger.out boys 😂😂
Is it going to be engineered and road registered? Or just a drift car?
Road registered
🔥 Lęşh Go! 🤘😎
Hey love the content but you need to buy a mic we can barely hear you

I do have a mic but my shop is loud and I talk fair quiet
Did I miss the cop footage u teased us with few vids back???
I have it ready to go nearly
