Corinna, this 84 year old lady greatly admires you. I really enjoy your videos no matter the content. You are an amazing lady. Thank you and Glen for sharing your life journey with us.
I just made 2 eggs, bacon and toast for my supper. Many times I eat eggs in different ways for supper. I'm 71 years old and live alone. Eggs are a quick and high protein meal.
I'm also low income. I live on my Social Security retirement check which is the lowest amount that our Government allows. It's barely over $900.00 a month. It's hard to pay all of my bills, gas in the car, to buy the non food items that everyone needs, and groceries on top of that. Don't get me wrong, I am thankful to God for all of the blessings that He gives to me. I much better off than others I know.
I also like making big batches of food like goulash, chili, homemade hamburger helper, spaghetti, cabbage dishes. Anything to stretch what I have on hand to cook. I am lucky enough to have a seal-a-meal that I can put leftovers in and freeze for another day.
Suggestion: Pancake mix mini chocolate chip muffins- my grandkids love them and so do their parents and me. Use a whole box of pancake mix you just add water to. Add a quarter cup maple syrup and 2 Tablespoons of vanilla. Spray the mini muffin tin with Pam like spray and use a small melon scooper to fill the muffin areas 3/4 full. Place 3-5 chocolate morsels on top. Bake about 11 minutes on 350. Delicious!! Thanks for all your videos. God bless!
Just subscribed, a trick I love with the corned beef hash is put can in fridge for a little before use, then open both ends and slide the whole can of it out. I slice into rings of it. You can get 6 of them. Then just smash it like a patty without breaking it up and it cooks like a sausage patty and gets crispy on both sides. Can’t wait to watch your videos from the start. I live frugal also because I have to. I don’t date my bags because I wash them and reuse them. Reuse foil also. Enjoyed your video a lot ! Blessings from Missouri❤
My pups loved carrots 🥕 as a treat. Not all do! They're healthy and low cost. They also loved sweet potatoes. I'd poke holes in a sweet potato and microwave it. Once cooled, I would cut pieces off with the skin. Look for them on sale. 😉 I like canned corned beef hash.I always try to have some in the pantry. I like the Hormel brand. I've tried others, but the texture was off. It's finally above freezing here! Currently 37° 😊
Hi Corinna. Living life one day at a time. You are wise. That's all anyone of us can do anyway. The LORD tells us in Word we are not to worry about tomorrow or anything else for that matter. Live life to the fullest today. We don't need a lot of money to enjoy it either. Being creative is something people had better learn to start doing. GOD bless you and Glenn.
Try cooking some bacon & mixing with your canned beans, very tasty as I'm sure you know, but good idea for canned baked beans for the both of you if you're not a fan of lil smokies. 🙂 Gosh I need some bacon now! 😅 Yummmm! 🥓🫘🍞
Banana nut muffins are yummy. Simple meals I prepare too. I enjoy breakfast 🥞🍳🥓☕ fixings for an early dinner especially on cold winter days. Many blessings always. 🙏
I'm always happy to see your videos it brightens my day. Our pooches love a little bacon too ! Muffins are so yummy any time of the day.thank you and see ya next time. Oh Corina I know how you both love nature and you especially with birds do you hang hummingbird feeders in the spring? I do so enjoy watching them feed 😁.
Babe those colored bowls arent from the 70's my grandma passed in the early 60's and she had them a long time before she passed. I'm guessing they are from the 50's.
just finished your family history on the tv and i don't have a clue how to comment on the tv so this might not match up well with this video . anyway i think i am a few years older then glen and maybe a bit better shape but can only tell you how blessed he is to have you and it always sounds like he knows it too. so glad you did meet before he just needed care but while he maybe just needed someone to enjoy in his life with him. your mom and dad sounded like they loved each other too and it might sound odd but it seems like those marriages in our family that stood the test of time also came with orphan like upbringings on one side with my aunt being raised in foster care and dad's younger brother giving her someone to call her family . they loved each other and their kids were all so close . anyway just be careful not to share too much like names and dates for those criminal minds to use . i say that then say my grandparents were also born at the turn of the century . one in 1899 and the other in 1900 so i am thinking we should be fairly close in age but you either held up much better or we really are what we eat and i am a walking with a cane pumpkin pie with cool whip old woman . loved you out playing with the snow blower wearing a pair of baggy shorts . and a hoody . i go with a baseball cap . anyway thanks for the share . give glen a hug along with gypsy and the cats. i had been watching you then you seemed to vanish from my selection for a while . you were just arranging some home repairs when you vanished but i see you did get the new stove . so how did the rest turn out ? hope it all went as well . and the toilet . not sure if this will help in the future but sometimes the worst clog is the one where it isn't clogged enough. water is passing by the clog and so the pressure created by the plunger goes past the clog rather then pushing it along. usually you can lush the 1st time and the toilet will make a glug glug noise as the bowl empties out . the 2nd flush will bring the water up to the rim and again slowly drain but the 3rd will overflow . this kind of clog requires a nice wad of toilet paper tossed in before the second flush to carry the wad down to the clog blocking it off completely so now the force of the plunger is now on the clog and remember that plunger is working in both the downward and pulling back . i have been a toilet clogger all my life and have gotten it down to a fine art as my mother like her kids to be totally independent and never needed to both her or dad for these sorts of issues . if this should fail you , i know it sounds like you are making it worse but try more toilet paper . if this doesn't work a hand held snake is your next option. they are fairly cheap compared to a plumber and can be found at walmart . i would go with the $20 model where it comes back into its own case when you crank it backwards . it might take a bit of a bend to get it to go down that second bend but can be done. and of course there is always taking the toilet off which i have done many times and no the actual sewer water is not going to get you . using a shop vacumn to suck out the water in both the tank and the bowl really does make it easier and if you don't have one of those you are still saving money buying one compared to the plumbing bill and while at the store buy some wax rings you will need to put the toilet back . i bet one of those neighbor guys would be happy to give you a hand with this if needed as most folks like to be a bit needed but have the parts like the wax ring standing by before they come and plenty of paper towels standing by. Never put paper towels down the toilet to make that clog by the way . just toilet paper to do this as it is made to break down . if it isn't toilet paper , poop or pee it should not be put in that bowl . well ,you can give me a call if it should ever come to it . i am the only one i think with my name but live about 3 days of driving time away so will not be able to make house calls. be good and at our house mom came home from work with the white bags full of day old bakery treats if they had them. they had to be day old or it was not meant to be and they were grab bags filled by the bakery so no choice of what you got but be grateful you got something . we don't have independent bakeries here anymore and the big store bakeries don't even do day old unless it is really old cake or bread . i guess there is a lot of mom in me as i don't buy very many things unless they are on sale . well be good and glad you are getting the viewers . robin
Corina sorry this is being said in deep concern, I have noticed you are looking depressed and very down .Enjoy your videos and vlogs.these recent vlogs about low income seem to make you very sad a nd depressed . Vit D and complex vit b can help with depression. Just to let you know I'm 72yo been thru depression and am still taking meds. Also am very low income and understand what it is to deny myself of many things I use to afford. I have no car (totaled it in Dec. NO injuries no replacements). Sooo please take care of yourself get some sunshine when you can and God bless you both. ❤❤
Talking about the past could seem like someone may be depressed. I'm sure if she was, she also has talked about mental health and doing things for her and glen. I'm sure it's not easy to share a portion of your life, but she's always so upbeat and she does take care of her mental health as she mentions in the video if you watched the whole thing. I'm sure she knows alot about it from her video if you watched it. And what they have gone through things. And it's not easy as a full time caregiver can be tiring. ❤ much love ❤😊
I found a local source and they are $7 - I know what they are fed and that they are real organic eggs from happy hens. Maybe there are people in your region that have chickens?
Corinna, this 84 year old lady greatly admires you. I really enjoy your videos no matter the content. You are an amazing lady. Thank you and Glen for sharing your life journey with us.
I am impressed with the amazing job that you are doing with having less than you once had. You are a true inspiration to me and I'm sure many others.
I just made 2 eggs, bacon and toast for my supper.
Many times I eat eggs in different ways for supper.
I'm 71 years old and live alone.
Eggs are a quick and high protein meal.
I thought that I was the only one that reused aluminum foil.
I do it all of the time.
Waste not, want not.
That's what I was taught growing up.
Me too!!
Your earrings are gorgeous!

Wow...that must be difficult on you on subsidized housing. God bless🌷
Won't you consider going to the food pantry for some help??

My friends dog loves fresh green beans as a treat
I used to grow green beans in my garden. My dog would raid the garden every morning for a bean😂
Banana nut muffins are yummy. Simple meals I prepare too. I enjoy breakfast 🥞🍳🥓☕ fixings for an early dinner especially on cold winter days. Many blessings always. 🙏

My parents and grandparent these bowls in the 1950’s when I was a kid. I suspect they may even predate 1950. They may even be collectors dishes? 😉👍🏻🙏
We shoo away starlings. They steal the nests of good birds in the spring.
We live in the high desert so we get winter number two as well lol it’s not really spring
Good Morning, Hope all is well

Don't you think that the price of eggs are ridiculous ?
Almost $8 a dozen in California..im only buying 1/2 dozen at a time right now and eating less.
@@esteeb4218 count eggs at Walmart is $11.00! Ridiculous!
I found a local source and they are $7 - I know what they are fed and that they are real organic eggs from happy hens. Maybe there are people in your region that have chickens?
