Yes, being your own best advocate and having a good mentor is essential throughout the doctoral and postdoctoral experience. I am glad you are okay! Tfs

Hi! I am doing an in-person interview for a post-doc in Ohio at the end of February. Do you have any tips? And, has your post-doc experience been positive so far? I am scared, lol.
Hi! So my postdoc did not have interviews but I do have some suggestions that were told to me when I started my postdocs that may be useful for you! - You are not a just a grad student anymore, you are a researcher, an academic, and a scholar... don't doubt your research, don't doubt your intellegence, and don't try to be perfect. - its okay not to know everything as long as you know how to figure things out. (Which you do lol) - if they are asking for you (in this case they are bcuz you got the interview) they want you there. Believe that and make sure you approach the conversation accordingly. They aren't necesarily trying to tear you apart they are trying to confirm that they are making the right decision... and they are. - also ... if it doesn't work out you can still be successful! I know they may seem a little cliche but they really helped me out a lot when I started. Sorry if this wasn't enough. I hope others comment with their advice too!
Hi Brisa, I know you made a video in the past which entailed accepting your PhD offer but without funding. Can you direct me to the link of that video? I would like to know how did you manage to start your PhD the first year without funding.
Hi! Yes! I have three different video that talk about that topic in some way. I am going to include all three just in case, but I am going to order them in what i think is more relevant to least relevant order! First video - What To Do If You Have No Grad Funding!? Strategies to Pay for Your PhD Program! ua-cam.com/video/vveREcUv1ic/v-deo.html Second video - Funding Questions You Need To Ask BEFORE Accepting Grad School Offer ua-cam.com/video/L9kyk-Py8Bs/v-deo.html Third video - How to Pay for Grad School Without Financial Support | AVOID THESE 5 FUNDING MISTAKES for PhD Degree ua-cam.com/video/2H0LcIvyi7g/v-deo.html hope this helps!
@BrisaMarie thank you Brisa. These videos were the most important ones you published because without funding, it is extremely challenging to finish the program on time.
