  • "I'm 'Johnny Founder' and it's still hard to go from zero to one."
Dennis Crowley joined us for a deep dive into his experience during his early days starting several companies. He is the co-founder at Foursquare, one of the world's leading location technology platforms (and early pioneers of using game mechanics to drive real-world behaviors) and a co-founder at Street FC ("building the biggest football club on the planet").
Previously, he founded Dodgeball, one of the first location-based mobile social services (acquired by Google in 2005) and co-created PacManhattan, one of the earliest "big urban games" (2004). Dennis is also the founder and Chairman of Kingston Stockade FC, a semi-professional soccer team out of Hudson Valley, NY that competes in the 4th division of the US Soccer Pyramid.
-1 to Now is a recurring speaker series at South Park Commons exploring how the world's best builders and thinkers took their ideas from -1 to 0 and beyond.
