Great topic for a video - the drivers talking about 'right of way' over obstructions are being silly though, a bus is a big wide vehicle that can't really reverse - when I'm driving I'll remind myself I'm in a one-tonne hatchback and especially somewhere like queensway I'll give the bus a straight run regardless of technicalities of the rules. Whenever I'm in the smoke I realise just what pros B&H drivers are - you'll go through all the tightest gaps and obviously nobody breaks the limits but there's always some sense of urgency (mileage varies by individual driver!). London drivers really make it feel like they've been told to go as slow as physically possible.
Thank for watching Queens way is a pain most of the buses struggle to get up there I think every driver try’s to do there best No one wants accidents Or points on there license Many car drivers can’t seem to appreciate the room we need or the fact we can have up to 100 people on a bus none with seat belts and some standing so we can’t break as sharply as you can in a car Some sometimes it may look like we could stop and give way but actually this could result in passengers getting injured and you don’t need to be going quick for this to happen We all appreciate the drivers that give way and give us plenty of room
@Thebusdriverphotographer well tfl are high frequency buses and should be 10 mines in front and behind each other for example. Is B and H the same or is regular timetable?
Yes we are high frequency on the most part But we don’t have to keep say a 10 min gap Each bus has its own running time Which can mean we have buses running together but on the most part works ok
It is in deed up to the driver I will not put my hazards on if I’m just waiting a few minutes for the reasons I gave However if other drivers wish to do so that’s entirely up to them
Lovely video mate, hope youre safe and well, have a great week.
Thank you

if someone did that at Brighton & Hove buses they would be sacked for that
Does B and H have the same system as london tfl?
In what regard

@@Thebusdriverphotographer cool thanks for the info
I educate you. If you holding for time, put hazards on. Up to the driver to make a decision about whether bus has hazards on
