Goodness. I couldn't think of two guys that are more skilled to be able to turn to to ask information from!
    Because, I have!
I literally stopped the video and told my girlfriend I bet you pick Matt and Christerfer!
Just seeing them stop from what they do and qview these two videos and bits of advice, show me what kind of professionals and individuals they are.
Mark, this is one of your best videos ever! Thanks for always striving to do better and helping us learn!

I have wallet block too, but I also have car block. I will not do a full system in my 2017 focus. The system will have to be in something nicer, not an econo box that the system will be half the price of the car when new.

I've always found when working on my own cars (not customer) I find it helpful and motivating NOT to install the subwoofers until last. Not until all the beauty trims are finished and in place. If you install the subs early and they are pounding, your mids are sweet and your highs are crisp then the motivation to do the trims disappears. When the sound system is listenable to then there is always the excuse that you'll finish the little thing tomorrow, then the next day etc. If you can't hear the subs you'll be surprised how quickly the little trim bits get finished! Hope this helps.

Whenever I get "builder's block" I turn to watching videos on the Car Audio Fabrication channel!! Thanks for inspiring me as I move through my current build out of a 2003 VW Golf spare tire fiberglass sub box.

I am not a big audiophile and do not have any of the stencils you have but I am using what I have to make what I have work and am really happy so see what you do to help give me the ideas on how to make my car look good and at least somewhat professional.

I really like the videos, I watch you, Meade, and Bernard. However as far as instruction your videos are far more informative.
You are a good instructor Mark keep up the good work.

I remember when I found my first video of Mark. It was filmed with half of a potato. Now they are much more professional and certainly easier on the eyes. 😂
Your videos have helped me come a long ways in building systems. I have ideas now that I never would have considered before.
And yet here you are giving another great video with something we've all struggled with yet don't really talk about.
Keep up the great work, sir!

When i get stuck like that i take a break and try to relax a little. I do something else that i enjoy and try and clear my mind because I think a big part of "builder's block" is having so many options and thoughts going through my head. Eventually something comes to mind that turns out looking great.

Great video! I learnt that version one is better than version none, meaning that if I do something even if it’s not perfect it’s a step that can be improved on. I also love looking at the shapes on the outside and the inside of cars.

Good perspective on overcoming these creative blocks and ways to find inspiration. It always comes down to concern yourself with what you can do and not dwell on what you can not do. While working on what you can get done, your mind will fill in the creative voids.

So funny, I had never really heard of Chris until I went to SQology a few weeks ago at his shop. I got to hear his ASTOUNDING Civic and see a ton of his work. I was AMAZED.

Very good subject to cover Mark. I am half way through my build now but in the beginning i didn't know where to start so I mocked up the amps, amp rack and Sub boxes from cardboard to see if it would all fit and look right. I'm glad to say it did and I've even come up with a way to limit vibration transferring directly from the sub box to amp rack using brackets and rubber spacers. I'm just trying to decide on the finish and accent pieces now but it's hard with limited tools available.

That panning shot of templates on wall at end had some neat layered effect look. Also thet vent could turn into a hexagon filled hexagon into a honey comb look.A layered honeycomb that drops off at edge would be different but too busy.

Mark, the center of your trunk lid liner has a cool shape to it. You could do a mirror image of that liner for the panel.

One block I always encounter is when it comes time to tune the system you just installed. Obviously using a DSP makes that task much easier but not every build utilizes one. I think an awesome video (a lengthy one) would be how to tune a system with NO DSP using the SA-4100i. Most builds consist of a set of components in the front, coaxial in the rear, sub, 4ch, mono block, and the head unit itself... most of which have a handful of internal settings that can at times be confusing to use.
You never know, maybe you can steal some of Doug’s viewers in the process! 🤓
