Things i took back to England from texas. 6 cans of hopadilo, 6 cans of voodoo ranger . 300 black and mild cigars mostly jaz flavour. A black pugs brand cowboy hat i got in a gass station just outside Shamrock where we got on the 66 . I pair it with a magpie feather and matching black bandana.
Ive got photos wearing it outside the jailhouse in Silverton colarado. Wore it as we drove down the milion dollar highway into Auroray .
Piece of advice do not drive that road go around its crazy.

very helpful Kylie. one question: how do you choose the style of the hat based on your frame/face shape? are there guidelines? i get confused by all the different sized brims, crowns and dips. thank you!
I'm in the same predicament. What bend looks best on me? I think a sure way is bring about 5 women with you, and have them be the judge! If the women like it, its cool!
Were you able to figure it out? Best advice is going to a western apparel shop and asking a hat expert in person.
@@greggtomchick1837 Best bet would be going to a professional cowboy hat maker and have a long talk with them about what you want and the occasion. Check prices... buy once cry once.. and have your custom hat made that you can be proud to wear for decades to come.
Just go to a trusted shop and try many different creases and brims. Imho women can get away with about any hat. In the end choose one that you yourself like the look off. My advice go bold or go home, if you get a subtle color or shape, you end up wanting crazier hats

Not a single good hat store near me. I am 62 and have yet to find out what makes a hat fit so it does not fly off with the slightest of breezes. I have several Stetsons and two $19.99 hats, and the cheap ones stay on better than my $150 each straw Stetsons. I don’t get it. I see many who can ride or even go down a river in a boat, and that hat never moves. HOW?
Find a real hatter and he will use a conformateur and fit the hat to YOUR head. EZ PZ!
If it is too loose, put a little pad or cardboard at the forhead, and maybe at the back if needed. If the hat just needs to conform to your head, you can just wear it, and sweat in it a bunch, and it will become molded to your exact head, and not blow off in the wind. If that seems like too much work, get it wet on the inside a little, and maybe even your hair wet, and wear it all day! But, don't take it off, or the leather will shrink. It will mold to your head.
Foam weather stripping is also a popular one to wrap inside a hat that's a little too big. And since the one side is sticky it stays in the hat a bit better!
