the best thing about this diorama, the best thing..is that you put some of the german soldiers in field gray trousers, which you ACCURATELY paint GRAY GREEN, which comes off as a dark, matt green. The germans did not wear gray uniforms, they wore gray GREEN uniforms amd you are the first modeler i've ever seen to accurately paint field gray (gray green). BRAVO on accuracy!! BTW, the rest of the diorama is museum quality superb...
Every DAK-Diorama I ever saw used sand, pebbles, dust, etc. Except your‘s….😮 Congretulation! And thx 4 showing us that it‘s possible just to „sculpt and paint“ sand without using sand 😂 And your Dio looks great! Thx!!
The palm trees are some of the best I have ever seen. The entire diorama is amazing.
I've been in the scale model business over 40 years but I learn something new every time I watch your videos.
Never seen palm trees look this realistic and so 'easy' to make.... Your eye for detail is unique...
This looks dusty. Straight to the point. Heat, sand, water, palm trees. Very well presented scenic mood. I love it.🤩
Absolutely amazing work!
Greetings from Las Vegas!
BEST "how to" on palm trees I've seen yet!.. Great vid and Stunning work!
WOW ! ! !
As far as the palm trees go .....
I'll wait for the movie to come out .
Very impressive Ian. you certainly have an eye for this (research, layout, ideation, perspective) and which the day job skills help of course.
Agreed...your work never disappoints. Attention to detail and build always brings out the theme nicely. Keep up with the great work! Wish i could sit with you and learn the tricks and techniques on your projects.
Thanks......there's a lot of swearing, haha
Not only are your modelling skills truly excellent, the production values of your vids are getting better and better. shot cuts, camera angles, music choice all brilliant. Thank your for these videos.
Been looking forward to this one for a while now and boy it didn’t disappoint!!! Excellent work as always sir just superb 👍🏻🍻
Beautiful dio, so well composed. I love those palm trees, the best scratch built ones I have ever seen. Great work as always 👍
What an outstanding desert diorama. That palm tree came out incredible. The sand, the Panzer III, the well, the figures, those shadows on the sand, Wow, incredible. That is some very nice work my friend. Kudos to you!!!
Another great video! My favorite part is the sand waves. I have been to several sand dunes in my life and can say you captured them very well. Also, I think those are the BEST palm trees I have ever seen in a diorama, by far the most realistic.
Of all your fabulous dioramas this one is my favorite! Excellent job!
I've always enjoyed watching your videos and your creativity. But those palm trees I was watching thinking huh lol and then I could see the transformation. The whole diorama is amazing.
This guy is amazing! Beautiful job.
Impressive piece of art! There was one tiny detail that stood out to me and made me extra happy. The fact that you tried to make the rope stretch as it was affected by gravity (and moist I presume). Details like that is often overlooked! Great! And that shirt on the left figure... 👌🏻
WOW. What a nice tutorial. Very interesting to watch and see how you work. Top!!!!
Fantastic job Ian, thoroughly enjoyable watch and so much to learn. I loved the making of palm trees especially. 👍👍
That palm tree was genius! Very nice!
Yep fantastic trees!
Added to my never actually build ref file!😂😂😂😂
I saw your diorama you did a great job on it I lean a hole from your video keep making the video,s I know they take time you are the king of diorama your diorama look,s so real you have a wonderful and great day be safe
A great job CWM! Your skills and eye for detail, both with the dioramas and the models you build, are exceptional. I am impressed with the techniques you used for the palm trees, and you have inspired me to give it a try. Looking forward to your next project. Cheers from Australia!
Realy ? Good job ! Bravo !!!
Super diorama, just love the Palms.

Wow! Awesome job!!! Those palm trees are so real!
Great Job!
Outstanding 😎
Outstanding, one of the best ever.
Moin das ist der Hammer 👍👍👍👍 das Dioram ist einfach nur Klasse das Gelände toll gestaltet Inc. Palmen und Untergrund RESPEKT !!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍 🤴
Really excellent work! (as usual). The real feel to it and human aspect. Even the sweater on the one chap, etc. Very good.
Wow great work, the selfmade of the Palme ist absolut Fantastic, very nice Diorama, good Job!!!
Brilliant
Above and beyond Sir, wunderbar
Very nice!
As usual again a nice diorama. With thanks for the tutorial for the palm tree. Thank you.
Tks for your guide 👍 from Indonesia 🇮🇩
Top job 👍
Nice - congrats
Yet another inspirational work. Thank you!
Awesome is the only word. I’ve been looking how to do palm leaves and yours are the best I’ve come across. Just one comment. The rope in the well, it more than likely would have been tied off on part of the A frame, for safety sake of losing the rope down the well. Also the soft sand is fantastic!
With such a bare decor, the work must be of high quality...and it is still the case, once again an inspired and superb diorama...Special mentions to the well, palmtrees and to the weathering, and big like!
Its awesome to see it all coming together now, beautiful work mate! Those palm trees are really quite something, really interesting to see how you made them.
Impressive, convincing and very well executed.
Honestly your so good
Palm tree's are mint !!!!
Smearing the glue soooo satisfying 🥰
Its a shame that its not chocolate and you can lick your fingers after 😔
@@CWModelling 🤣 cracked me
Marvelous!!!
Art 👌
Beautiful desert diorama, you made the palm trees and the well very nicely
First class in every part. A great executed scene with a very well presented way to this end result. Congratulation, Ian.
A diorama to be present in a showcase and on exhibitions. Greetings, Joachim
excellent ...
Wonderful work, once again. Thank you for sharing....
High production video and yet again a great diorama.
Love the ripple effect on the sand and as has been noted in the comments below those palm trees look good and their fabrication surprisingly straight forward.
I do worry though about the member of DAK wearing a tank top I broke into a sweat just looking at him. 😁
Incredibly awesome work.
Fantastic, thank you for sharing.
Are yes looked very cool . 😎. Liked how u made the trees looked really good well done.
Very well done, definitely a professional looking diorama
Another excellent and informative video Ian. Thank you for posting
Hi buddy you DAK Diorama looks amazing love hoe you made the trees mate fantastic.
Thanks for sharing. Cheers Gary 🇬🇧
Superbt!
Very nicely designed, beautiful diorama
Fantastic workmanship, thks for sharing
Blown Away!! The palms are spectacular!! I will try your method when I get to the surface of my current Diorama!! The sand is also just great, the subtle shadows you get on those dunes between the P3 and the palms, then the feet by the well....just amazing!!! I use the same clay but never thought to use it for the ground work...definitely have to rethink that one...Thank you so much for showing your skills, its really fun to watch and get inspired!!!
Great diorama. Worth waiting for
Exceptional precision, amazing realism, utterly impressed. I do not know how you consistently improve, but you do Ian. Bravo.!! , ATVB2U. Scott, Somerset
Brilliant work.
I really enjoy watching your performance. Such an awesome diorama! Congratulations!
Wow...!!!
¡Ha quedado cojonudo! Justo tengo un kit de figuras para hacer algo parecido que llevo planeando desde hace años.
Este video me ha inspirado mucho. Nice job
very nice sir
Awesome looking diorama. I really like how you made the sand
Excellent work! I’m gonna try one using some of the techniques you presented
fantastic work!!!
Great as usual, in B/W it would look like a photo 👍
Beautiful job, my man! Awesome diorama. 👍🏻
It's a wonderful piece of work!!!😊
Fantastic work Ian 👌 looks really nice
very nice one
@ the 30:40 mark, i had looked away for a minute then looked back and thought the guy was dropping a deuce down the well LMAO.
Really nice result. The Dessert Looks really nice and realistic. Even though deserts are basically just sand, they arent as easy to build as you might think. Many fail in creating a realistic looking in scale desert. 👏
Brilliant as usual mate! Well done 👍
Complimenti molto bello 😍 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Super work👌👍
magnifique
So beautiful, my friend! Excellent work and awesome paintwork! Congrats!! :)
superbe
Another corker. Really like how this one turned out. Who doesn't love a bit of DAK
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great work ! :o)
Nachtrag bitte mehr davon 👍👍👍👍
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
いや〜リアルですね。
Next time you are going to do scale rope try braided fishing line.
master class as usual , Ian- its a real treat to look at your work !question: why almost everyone creates the desert with sand, while the Sahara is composed of 80 percent of pebbles, moreover soft sand such as , is the worst enemy of tanks, getting bogged down ....!? so , i love the palmtrees , really realistic my friend ! all the best jy
Thanks JY......I just wanted to do smooth sand as I've never done it before in a desert dioramas👍
Amazing build! Also, if anyone wonders what wasser means, it means water in German, But man that diorama's good! Keep up the good work
🤝👍👏
One of your very best efforts among so many best efforts! The track sag on the Pz III is beautiful. The palm trees are superb. Do you recall how much actual time you spent fabricating them?
Thanks.....minus waiting for the Milliput to cure, they took about 2 hrs to make👍
