Ok, so here's the plan. SERIOUS environmental clean-up and re-generation philosophy here. 1) Buy yourself an empty field of this type of grass. 2) Buy this type of tractor and cutter system. 3) Cut the grass once every 2 weeks or so. 4) Collect and pile up the mulch into a compost pile. 5) Sell the compost the next year. 6) Repeat process. 7) Work nevermore.
That whole area must smell like absolute heaven afterwards with all the freshly mown grass. I love sitting outside and smelling the grass after I mow my lawn with the reel mower, since it doesn't pollute. The cut with a reel mower compared to a normal disc blade is so much cleaner and healthier overall for the lawn since it cuts it like a scissor and doesn't tear it like a disc. It gives off a sweeter smell in my opinion. Anyways, I would love to be there after to smell that air. Too bad no one has found a way to bottle up those smells and make a cologne, cause I would sure buy it, lol.
They aren't mowing grass, they are mowing alfalfa. Nonetheless, alfalfa smells like grass but it is 10 times better. If you like grass, you would definitely love this.
Here in the states Alfalfa mainly gets baled where I live. (Kansas) Makes for easier transportation and storage since you can get away with leaving it out in the weather if you don't mind the outer layer deteriorating (about 20Kg on a 500Kg bale)
Dang....what ever happened to the days of cutting hay in 90 degree plus heat all day with a sickle mower and loud tractor with a metal seat and dad bitching because things breaking down on the tractor or hay implement because he ddin't take time to service and care for it? That cab has AC and probably a major sound system...and they didn't need to get out once...why didn't dad have one of these...I would still be farming...lol
David Johns Maybe a variable loan can help me...people go into debt from gambling and other stupid choices...I would like to go into bankruptcy by buying this mower.
What a piece of equipment! !! Talk about a LOT of work getting done in a SHORT time period...!!!! Wow - just WOW!!! Thanks! (Merci Bien..) Gordon in Maui
Gamerchannal1 if you have a reel you can do it about this fast with modification:: here is howw to modify an existing reel mower with a belt to raise its cutting height: use any belt but a tie down belt with cam locking is preferred . now wind it around the roller, or the rod the roller rotates on or if the mower has side wheels the "crossing rod" and then through the "hole" in the handle and cinch it. this can raise the cutting height as high as 6". the tighter the cinch the higher the cut. this means you need mow say only every couple of months rather than every the week if you desire/// two more advantages of this mower is that there is no need to pick up sticks, pine cones & etc as one can mow over them. (if you want you can rake these items after you’ve done so). number two as it only skims or tops the lawn it goes FASTER than a gas mower since there is less friction. this mower therefore can cut a bigger yard then a gas walk behind ./////a word of caution my belt invention works best with wider say 20″ mowers as its weight keeps it from bouncing. on narrower mowers one will have to add weight on the roller bar or cut higher and slower than you'd like.
Nathan are you crazy man? It's the best video on youtube with Class Cougar. The soundtrack fit perfect with the video. Congratulations for this. I hope that you will keep filming and upload more.
What is wrong with me ? I started off looking at petrol strimmers for my small lawn and ended up watching this beast of a mower thinking I wish I had a field and the money to afford that bad boy... talk about tranquil that was ace!
I answered my own question I watch a few more videos on you tube. It showed a machine picking them up and running through it and then shooting it into an big trailer being pulled by another tractor when the trailer was full the was another waiting for more silage. A very well thought out operation.
So how do you like it? How much does it cost? And i was just wondering what was done with those trimmings? Sorry for all the questions. Hope youre enjoying that beautiful machine!
@@andrewrichards5590 I guess I should have mentioned having a few helpers who used gas powered scythes. I highly recommend the new scythes they make these days over any professional mower

could be ground hogs, gopher holes or moles. some burrowing critter that pushes up dirt. I got that a lot in Pennsylvania when I use to mow. Same with Oklahoma when I would mow there too.
I think, that's because the FPS of youtube video is in sync with tractors' wheel rotation. Also at 0:49 you can see the wheels turning backwards, while they are definitely NOT turning backwards. It's just framerate vs. rotation speed coincidence.
Напротижении более десяти лет я вновь и вновь возвращаюсь к этому видео , когда я его увидел впервый рас я был удивлен в моих краях такой техники небыло и казалось что это космический корабль 😊
I thank you for your time, I'm an Italian farmer and wanted to do a trip to France to see these machines that we do not have, and never having been in France I was wondering if these machines were present in all French regions or perhaps only in lorraine or aquitaine, thank you very much

I'm in a weird part of UA-cam. how did I get here from a Family Feud video? also, now that I'm semi invested, what do they do with all the grass clippings?
I am Dutch living in the US. I used to farm but I am in the trucking business now. We truck Equipment and crude oil. And if you you don't know what alfalfa is well I am sorry about that. You have my sympathy. You could google it maybe? The US grows a lot of it.
And a lot of alfalfa is made into silage. This world is very big and there is a lot to learn for everyone. I have a cousin in New Zealand and they grow mostly grass
What it is , is five individual Moco's...mower conditioners. I've never even heard of one of these. A John Deere MoCo used costs over $15000...I can't imagine what this thing costs. As they say, time is money, and this thing would ultimately save a hay farmer a lot of time.
There is something REALLY peaceful about this...I honestly could spend all day driving this around giant fields cutting grass...call me weird...
quasarthecat1. dont blame you man
I mow fairways at a golf course, and I’m with you. I play some upbeat reggae music and just go!

I'd like to do that whole field with a push mower.

Probably has remote fittings

I wonder how many acres you would need to cut on a regular basis to cost justify that monster..
we have a 460 acre beef farm and we have a front and a back mover so I'd say you need more than 1000 acres to have this kinda machine
