Hay Making | Mowing, Tedding, Raking and Storing Hay | Part 1

This is part 1 of Hay Making video.
In this video you can see me mowing grass for hay in one of our largest grass fields. It is also the last field of 1st cut.
I'm using our John Deere 5085M and Pottinger disc mower. I mowed the grass in the evening. The next day I went tedding it with Pottinger tedder.
As it's the last field of 1st cutting the grass is already a bit old, but we need it for feeding dry cows (cows between lactations) as they don't need high nutrition feed.
It is also one of our most difficult fields to work on, with the creek on one side and steep slopes on the other.
In part 2 of this video you can see us raking, lifting and storing hay.

Hvala :) Še kar, na začetku je bilo nekaj kar konkretnih težav vendar so bile odpravljene v okviru garancije (počeno tesnilo hidr. črpalke, nedelovanje inverterja, skakanje na cesti). Za veliko transporta po cesti ni najboljši. Je letnik 2016, kupljen v Slogi ;) Ima pa nizko kabino, strešno okno, klimo, elektrohidravličen inverter (brez uporabe sklopke), polovičke... Glede na to, da je bil takrat "nov model" je bila ponudba kar ugodna ;)

Hi great video i just have a Question i have a Kuhn Disc mower but when i mow the paddock i get high spots on my rows right on the edges any idea what would cause that

Thanks 🙂 You mean the mower doesn't cut well at the edges? I don't know, maybe dirt accumulates on the counter-plates. 🤔

it just leaves a row right a long the edge when you do you second pass have far overlap do you go also which direction do you mow clockwise or anticlockwise
