I wasn't into the disco scene, but a couple of years ago I was in a grocery store where this was playing as background music. It was pretty funny, all the ladies who were "of an age" were rockin' out. Wouldn't have taken much to have had a full on party in the produce department, ha!

1976! Remember it well. What a year to be alive in USA back then. Different people different era different styles different values different music different country. Mr. Peanut wins the white house, 40¢ a gallon gasoline 101 octane. 65¢ Big Mac, Whopper, Jumbo Jack. $150 to rent a home, water, trash, sewer, gas included except the $6 a month rotary dial telephone bill. Used cars, trucks for $500 on the lots, $2500 for a new one. USA was still great. A time never to return again. Glad i lived it like 10's of millions alive then and now.

Aplogize for a second post...BUT...For some reason I was blessed with more of my mother's blood flowing through me than my dads which meant I actually have rythym and could at least give the illusion I was dancing...Yet, same can not be said for most of this Cocaine fueled white people especially the guys are literally reinforcing the funny stereotype.
ps. THE 2 MOST BEAUTIFUL, SEXY AND AMAZING TO ME of that era and the decade prior (60s)...The first lady WAS STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL AS WAS THE SECOND LADY...BOTH WERE AMAZING NATURAL ENTERTAINERS.... BUT THE 2ND LADY WAS JUST DIFFERENT...SHE WAS AN AMAZING TALENT...A NATURAL ENTERTAINER...AND WOW, SHE HAD A REMARKABLE VOICE AND REMARKABLE DANCE SKILLS....SHE WAS BEYOND IMPRESSIVE...I HAD A CRUSH ON BOTH WHEN I WAS A KID...Over the years I have READ AND WATCHED MANY DOCUMENTARIES ABOUT EACH OF THEM AND TO BE SO SEXY, BEAUTIFUL, FAMOUS, WEALTHY, IN DEMAND AND DROOLED OVER...SOMEHOW IT NEVER SEEMED TO AFFECT THEIR INNATE PERSONALITIES... THEY TRULY WERE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING IN EVERY WAY...VERY SURPRISING TO NOT FIND A FEW PEOPLE OR GOSSIP COLUMNS OF THE ERA THAT BAD MOUTHED THESE 2 BUT i DON'T REMEMBER ANY AS A KID AND HAVE NEVER SEEM READ OR HEARD ANYTHING NEGATIVE ABOUT EITHER OF THEM...IN FACT, FROM PEOPLE THAT WORKED ON SET, STAGEHANDS, FANS TO OTHER ACTORS AND PERFORMERS EVERYONE WAS AMAZED AND SHOCKED AT HOW SINCERE, SWEET, FRIENDLY, ALWAYS HAPPY, POSITIVE AND EVEN HUMBLE OR MODEST...IN SHORT, GENUINE...REAL...A DECENT PERSON.BOTH ARE STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL, EXTREMELY SMART AND INDEPENDENTLY STRONG ... ESPECIALLY ANN-MARGRET HAVING MOVED TO THE US FROM SWEDEN WHEN SHE WAS JUST 7 YRS OLD NOT KNOWING A SINGLE WORD IN ENGLISH...HER TEACHERS SAID SHE WAS "GIFTED" AND BOTH WERE UBER TALENTED...SO REFRESHING OR TO REMEMBER A TIME WHEN A BEAUTIFUL, TALENTED ACTRESS CHECKED OFF EVERY BOX AND THEN SOME AND HER SWEETNESS WAS NOT AN ACT....BOTH TOOK THEIR TIME, USED THEIR RESOURCES AT TIMES AND TRAVELLED TO DANGEROUS PLACES TO PERFORM FOR AMERICAN TROOPS IN VIETNAM... AND FOR A LOT OF DIFFERENT GROUPS..SOME DIDN'T OR WASN'T APPRO[RIATE TO PERFORM LIKE THEY WOULD IN FRONT OF A 1000 HORNY DEVIL DOGS...BUT THEY GAVE OF THEMSELVES ....iF EVER WATCHED THE ICONIC MOVIE, FULL METAL JACKET...THERE IS A FAMOUS LINE IN THE MOVIE ABOUT ONE OF THESE LADIES... IF HAVEN'T FIGURED OUT WHO...HERE THEY ARE:
    1) RAQUEL WELCH: ALL NATURAL REMARKABLE FIGURE...A REAL WOMAN...SEXY, TALENTED, COULD DANCE AND DAMN LOOKED GOOD DOING THEM...HER PERFORMANCE SKILLS WERE AT THE TOP OR NEAR IT...IT'S SORT OF LIKE TOM BRADY AND PEYTON MANNING...FOR SOME IT WILL BE ONE OR THE OTHER BUT BOTH OF ALL TIME AMAZING WOMEN...
THE SECOND LADY SHOULDN'T BE A SHOCK...
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
IF NEVER SEEN ANN-MARGRET PERFORM...AFTER THE INCIDENT I DESCRIVE BELOW SHE APPEARED ON THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH CARSON IN 1975....AND SHE WAS FILMING A MOVIE SO SHE DECIDED TO PERFORM HER CHOREOGRAPHED PRODUCTION FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME LIVE IN FRONT OF THE STUDIO AUDIENCE, PEOPLE IN THE STUDIO & MILLIONS ACROSS AMERICA...IT IS CONSIDERED ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC TONIGHT SHOW/CARSON'S TONIGHT SHOW SEGMENTS EVER....SELDOM LEAVE JOHNNY CARSON SPEECHLESS BUT HE WAS NOT SURE IF HE SHOULD SMILE, LAUGH OR WHAT...THE PERFORMANCE SEEMED A LITTLE TOO PROVOCATIVE FOR THAT TIME...AND IT DIDN'T HELP OR ACTUALLY THRILLED ME SHE WAS NOT WEARING A BRA AND THE STUDIO MUST HAD BEEN 60 'F....THIS WAS AFTER WHAT I EXPLAIN BELOW...But search UA-cam for Tonight Show, Carson and Ann-Margret and you can watch it...she was flawless...if you watch it wath how natural she went from a blushing semi shy guest to strutting across the stage to perform...HOWEVER..ALSO PAY ATTENTION TO HER LEFT HAND ESPECIALLY...Anyone that has suffered a boxer's break if severe enough (as mine is)...your fingers no longer dangled kinda straight...they curl up like talons...you can notice that several times....
*** Most people do not know that Ann-Margret and Elvis were a major thing for a while but the King stayed true to Priscilla...Crushed Ann...but show goes on...and in 1971 or 72 the big production included her standing on a platform behind the curtains/stage/lights and as everyone is expecting her to make an entrance from either side of stage or the back maybe come up from the band pit....nope...she was lowered down to the stage...long & short was something broke causing the platform she was standing on to break loose falling out from underher...just when it was started being lowered...she fell from estimated 30-35 feet to the stage below...and she feel basically head first...tried to brace herself with her left arm but when she instincitively puts her arm out to brace herself she lands basically on front left shoulder/face with her extended arm basically crumbling under the force of impact...as she slammed to the stage the last to hit were her hips than legs...
she almost died...was in a coma for like 3 days...mangled her left arm dislocating her elbow and snapping both bones in forearm...broke/shattered her left hand like a boxers break... dislocated and broke her collar bone....and caused a couple gashes in her side and face...but also broke her jaw bone..really bad on the left side...kncoked teeth out...broke her occipital lobe..cheek bone.
When she came out of the coma after 3-4 days...she couldn't speak, walk or use her arm or hand...I have no idea how she did it but ~4 months later she was on stage again performing....WE never heard about her being the Hollywood tramp or druggie or crazy out of control woman...when she knew she had lost Elvis...she would find solace and kinda of love...and remain loyal and committed to him for 50+ years...
!!! I SUGGEST TO TAKE A PITCURE OF EACH OF THESE LADIES IN THEIR PRIME AND WOULDN'T HURT TO PROVIDE A COPY OF ONE OF THEIR PERFORMANCES....AND SEND TO THE DEMOCRAT NATIONAL COMMITTEE...THE WHITE HOUSE...THE SENATE...THE SUPREME COURT AND TO EVERY DEMOCRAT IN THE COUNTRY...AND SIMPLY WRITE TO THE HONORABLE WHOEVER OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, CONGRESS, ETC....DUE TO THE FACT NONE OF THE DEMOCRATS STRUGGLING MIGHTEDLY WITH THIS TOPIC...I HAVE BEEN DOING RESEARCH AND RESPECTFULLY REQUEST FPR YOU AND STAFF TO LOOK AT THE PITCURE AND WATCH THE VIDEOS i HAVE SENT....YOU WILL NEVER BE CONFUSED AGAIN ABOUT THAT BAFFLING QUESTION....WHAT IS A WOMAN??? THESE ARE 2 OF THE MOST ICONIC WOMEN IN AMERICAN HISTORY....STUDY THEM...LEARN ABOUT THEM....AND KEEP COPIES WITH YOU JUST IN CASE YOU DOUBT YOURSELF AND OR ABOUT WHAT A WOMAN IS GOING FORWARD...NOW THE DEMOCRATS ARE AWARE EXACTLY WHAT A WOMAN IS....
