I’m so glad I was in my late teens during the disco era. I still play this at least once a week. Notice how slim and attractive all the girls were back then. I love disco.
Hell Yeah!!!!!!!!! Dance!!!!!! Dont Stop the Dance!!!!!!!!! Seen KC twice in Concert!!!!!!! Awesome!!!!!!!! Im 70, still Rock n Roll!!!!!!! Shake that Booty!!!!
Absolutely the best time growing up. Dance clubs, gatherings dance all night and everyone had a great time. Best music ever produced during 70s & 80s. Memorable and long lasting.
I wasn't into the disco scene, but a couple of years ago I was in a grocery store where this was playing as background music. It was pretty funny, all the ladies who were "of an age" were rockin' out. Wouldn't have taken much to have had a full on party in the produce department, ha!
Born in 71, some of my favorite early memories are of family parties when my parents, aunts & uncles would dance to disco hits in my childhood home. In my memories, the 70s certainly has a cool vibe!
And also just dancing with PATRICK DUFFY (2:34) in a scene of "Dallas", the TV Show A mix of scenes; old footage with a chapter of such a famous 80's TV series 🇧🇷 Greetings from BRAZIL
1976! Remember it well. What a year to be alive in USA back then. Different people different era different styles different values different music different country. Mr. Peanut wins the white house, 40¢ a gallon gasoline 101 octane. 65¢ Big Mac, Whopper, Jumbo Jack. $150 to rent a home, water, trash, sewer, gas included except the $6 a month rotary dial telephone bill. Used cars, trucks for $500 on the lots, $2500 for a new one. USA was still great. A time never to return again. Glad i lived it like 10's of millions alive then and now.
@@joeviking61 Not in 1976! A few years later, yes. Today's inflation rate makes 1970's tame and like child's play. The cost of living now will just get worse, not better. BS lies that things will get or are better. Only the delusional wishful thinking false hoping zombies sheeple society thinks so. 1976 where are you? Nope, ain't gonna come back ever.
I wouldn't pay any attention to this "Hall of Fame" stuff. Especially when you see some of the bands that have been rejected. It's all just some Joe Shmoe that thinks his personal opinion reigns supreme, lol.
This was great!!! Loved this! Reminding me of the days when men were men and women were women and weren’t afraid to show that! So happy I lived through this. 😎😆👍
The best times ever. No cell phones, no internet to screw with our brains, no FB-Instagram-TikTok....just going out every single Friday and Saturday nice to dance our butts out all night long with the most fun and hottest chicks ever. Oh man was it a blast. No cover charges, no drink minimums just live bands at all most all the bars and clubs and restaurants playing the latest music. Before most DJ's and after the juke box so it was the very best! Married one of the hot babes too!
Cant remember alot about the seventies, most of it is kinda foggy lol,but the music is unforgettable, its sad music like this doesnt exist anymore,70s was the bomb and always will be
I taught my now 18 year old grandson to disco to this song when he was two. He's embarassed now to admit how much and how often he shook his booty to KC and the Sunshine Band at two but, in my defense, he's a good dancer.
KC Was an Alumni of Hialeah High School, graduated the year before I went there. I’m wondering if I attended one of his garage sessions, with his relatives, playing along side?
I still have my tape. Shaking my booty since 1976. Shout out to all my old dancing queens. FRG 7/76-1/79 and 3/85-4/88. US Army Infantryman retired 1/76-1/96. ✌️🖖
In the mid 1990's till about 2000 disco really came back in the club scene in both Europe and in the US. It was awesome. I was so glad to dance to the music that my parents got down too. I remember being in a club in Louisville Kentucky and dancing to this song and a woman from Sweden took my hand and she really knew how to dance. We were doing classic disco moves and it was awesome. She was a beautiful blonde and she could move. I do not think the kids today dance at least not at the level we did (Gen X) or my parents.
I remember when this song released when I was in high school. Did a lot of "shake shake shaken" to it. Now the only thing shaken is my dang hands lol.... ❤
this is my 70s era playlist i listen to everyday, I made it because this is my favorite music too. ✌🏻 check it out, you’ll totally dig it… ua-cam.com/play/PLEa1k6RJgELpem-6-ByM7Ip6KApwbsJTZ.html&si=Q2Ge_7v6ACGb5o8U
At the disco one night back in the late 70s, one of my guy friends “Charlie,” called me “Nurse Good Butt.” Haha it was so dang funny & I think it’s a reference to the tv show Hee Haw but I’m not sure? My booty has always been tiny and cute, thank you Mother Nature!!! 😂🎉❤🎉😅 I LOVE to dance!!!
In my opinion, the 2 greatest decades for growing up, 70s n 80s
INDEED!
60's gets my vote. Beatles. Moon landing.
Yeah. I think so.
*60's--70' and as an adult in the 80's, you have NO idea........*
Hear hear!!!! Definitely the best decades for music, hairstyles, and makeup.
Victoria Principle! One of my all time favorite beautiful women.❤😊

That really is Victoria Principal??
Simply beautiful . . .
Hard to believe those of us that were dancing to this are 65-70 years old now. Keep shaking it!
Yes sir , 67
Yeah, I became one of those "old guys." lol
I saved one of my wide black lapel shirts lol😊
57 here. They played it in the roller rink. I thought this was an all black band. Ya learn something every day!
Eh yes!
I'm one of those people who turned 20 in the 70s and 30 in the 80s.
We were lucky I think.
I’m so glad I was in my late teens during the disco era. I still play this at least once a week. Notice how slim and attractive all the girls were back then. I love disco.
I was just thinking that. Where's all the fat people?
Cocaine had that effect...
That's because that's when anorexia became a popular mental disease.
KC had the ultimate formula for disco. Every one of his songs was perfect for the times.
DO YOU WANT TO GO PARTY was my favorite.
No where in the world do they make music like this anymore so glad I was raised with music like this playing on my radio
Oh yeah. Me too!! Great times!!
I know me to! I so miss these times and music and fun and clean music at that
So True.
100% yes. 👍🏆
You don't hear it because disco destroyed live bands on stage and they just played recordings.
Hell Yeah!!!!!!!!! Dance!!!!!! Dont Stop the Dance!!!!!!!!! Seen KC twice in Concert!!!!!!! Awesome!!!!!!!! Im 70, still Rock n Roll!!!!!!! Shake that Booty!!!!
Harry's 72 now - still making music!!
❤
A great tune. Those niteclubs were so cool back then, life was a great time in the 70's and 80's.

I chuckled reading that, and then I sobered up realizing that that's my demographic 😮
Those are my people!
My favourite band as a teenager. Still my favourite at 67❤
Same!🥰
Keeeeef and the Stones are the only band I love more than KC
Wow!! The crowd dancing pics are GOLD !!! ❤ miss those days!
K.C. and the sunshine band owned the disco scene.
What a blast the 70s early 80s where . Clubs every Friday and sometimes Saturdays , didn’t save much money but had a blast.
isnt this '70s
@@SuperTambo69 maybe , but I was doing same stuff early 80' s as well
Look! No tattoos! Women in the 70’s were simply amazing. We didn’t know how good we had it.
No bolt-ons, or duck-lips, either. Totally agree with you.
Yes yes yes yeeeeeesssss !!!!
Such happy, carefree times 🎉
Amen 😊
Exactly! The tattooed now outnumber the non-tattoed.

KC needs to be in the music hall of fame! just checked , they have been actually Eligible since 2000 to be in Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
They weren't a rock band.
I wouldn't pay any attention to this "Hall of Fame" stuff. Especially when you see some of the bands that have been rejected. It's all just some Joe Shmoe that thinks his personal opinion reigns supreme, lol.
a great time where you can drink, dance and hook up. no violence, judgement nor drama. Good time all around. kids today have missed out.
No...kids today are fu&^^ed up. They'd rather kill each other than have a good time. Live and let live died a long time ago.
Victoria principal moment makes it all worthwhile
So great!!! Love this! Brings back so many great memories! OMG! Would go to discos all the time. Fun fun fun times! Miss those days so much! 😆😎👍

Beautiful Victoria Principal ❤!😮Andy Gibb didnt know what hit him!
Easy, pleasant, soft harmonics
... might be a formula for success. 💜
Victoria Principal is absolutely stunning!
I thought she looked familiar!!! Thanks.
Thanks for pointing that out. She was pretty much the only reason I watched Dallas….😍
It’s not really her. Looks like her. I once dated a woman back in the 70’s that did look like this woman. She was a school teacher. In St. Louis, MO.
This is a brief part of a scene from Dallas the tv show. She's dancing with Bobby her husband on the show. @@glennbond8266

70's and 80's music is still the best.
