You two are my favorite cup of coffee. Both of you have very different but great senses of humor. The places you visit are amazing and your narration puts it all in a very human frame of reference...love ya and keep sailing
You guys are the best sailing youtubers! I have binge watched all of your stuff. Thank you for bringing the “outside” to my living room since we are all stuck in the house. Sailing Ruby Rose is a close second but you guys are (for me) number 1.
Cheers. Just want to reiterate how interesting it is to see vlogs from a couple of folks whose entire lives are on water. Invaluable knowledge from the scope of topics covered, to the perspective from which its shared.
WHAT A GREAT AND FUN EPISODE!!!!!...BLOWN AWAY by what you showed about the traffic on oceans...SUPER INTERESTING STUFF...thank you for sharing all this!!
Exciting time. I discovered wireless earbuds and our phones. My wife and I put our earbuds in call each other. Set the phones down and talk to each other while docking, anchoring and manuevering. No more yelling. Large footprint boats with pilothouse's etc make it tough. Hailers can be obnoxious. Give it a try.
Interesting that you are the second boat I have watched going through that straight who had the female crew take the helm and navigate the boat through traffic. Impressive Ash... 😉🙂
Just started watching last week and going back to the beginning vlogs now to get a little context. Curious about your prior life? We sold everything 18 months ago, left our "serious" jobs, bought a truck and camper for travel when we're on the mainland. We move between favorite kiting spots (Hood River, Hatteras, Puerto Rico) since I teach watersports in those places, and then travel in between the work gigs to see family and friends. You're making the catamaran life look tempting! Good winds!
Hey Edwin. We used to work in software. Threw in the towel long before retirement knowing we would need to continue to work. UA-cam is working for us but it’s no retirement fund. That said, wouldn’t have it any different. Life is over in a flash. No guarantee to make it to retirement. Feel more alive than ever.
I am also a sailor or most likely a seafarer. I just disembarked from a tanker ship last feb and that was in singapore. I am going crazy right now thinking that yourlovelyboat and the ship i was working maybe just pass by. Hehe. Im a big fan of this channel now. Can't stop watching. 💓
I was skippering of the last yacht (70 ft Cutter) to sail out of the Port of Malacca before they put a bridge up over the entrance , Bluddy Singapore Tugs > No rules .Nice little marina in Lumet 1/2 way up , Good crew bar in Raffles Marina , 10$ steak & salad 7$ big jug of beer .Real cheap marina over the strait in Indo. Fair winds .
daymn,i been following you for the more than one year, and finally u in my home town, putri harbour where you berth is around 20minute from my place.its lock down here.i hope i can drop by to say hi to you guys.welcome to johor.
Mohd Jazme yo bro, I follow them for a long time waiting for them to come to SG too. But their vlog is a few months behind and they’ve moved out from Johore already. So don’t feel too bad. Stay safe!
Yeah you had about 10 ft to spare under the bridge.. What i noticed was the amount of available berths at the marina. Look like all the big boats were gone. Nothing like a cruise to get away from the virus. Stay safe guys. BTW im in the philippines.
What's up Ben feels like I know the both of you from watching your videos love watching y'all I'm a hick from Logan wva I love adventure and y'all sure are on one love the channel
Here's to hoping our lockdown will be over in the near future. If you folks ever visit Anacortes, WA let us know. I know Vancouver island is so close. Very impressive. I'm guessing you two are the power couple of sailing around the world. :) Cheers.
Crazy passage! Watch those tankers. Busy water way. Glad you guys made it safely. Please be safe. Until our adventures cross, fair winds and full sails. Jack and Billie
Hi Guys! Excited to see you guys in Puteri Harbour. Shoutout from Singapore... Have great day... Please stay safe Malaysia is currently locked down due covid.
In times like these with so much stress going on in the world I find it so therapeutic to watch your videos. thank you for the awesome content as per usual!
I hope you guys got to somewhere safe. Congratulations on the news. Sail to nz to have the baby. An nz passport is something that will be very handy someday.
Never commented before.... was married last year, live through your videos.... do you carry weapons onboard (weird question).... love watching the channel.... super happy for a baby....
Yeah, there sure is some congestion out there! My wife drives our boat great. She refuses to dock it though. Her fear is I’ll die at sea and she will have to dock the boat.

Its very significant. I remember when Delos did it, and it was billed as the busiest port in the world. Exciting ! So, you had under 10ft from that bridge. Yeap, that would bother me...
Wow you guys are very near to my location how i wish i can see you guys personally . But unfortunately i cant go out side because of the covid 19 lockdown. Be safe always and enjoy
be careful out there specially pirates,we been always passing that straight japan to europe vice versa and it was so so busy and intense hundred to thousand ships small vessel on that straight be careful use all available means to navigate
Ash... crossing the traffic separation scheme probably made you wish you paid attention in 8th grade math word problems... you remember “a train left Montreal at 2:00 going 15mph, and a car left Quebec at 7:21 going 60 mph, ho long did it take to them to get to Vancouver?”
Strait of Malacca is one of the most polluted sea area in the world considering thousand of ship crossing the strait everyday.
❤️Love from Malaysia
Ya know, I dont think it really matters where your going, you always put a smile on my face and I always learn something.
You two are my favorite cup of coffee. Both of you have very different but great senses of humor. The places you visit are amazing and your narration puts it all in a very human frame of reference...love ya and keep sailing

25 meters is over 85 feet. Plenty of room for your 65 foot mast. Love this channel!
Be safe of Covid19
Thanks Ben & Ashley
Cheers. Just want to reiterate how interesting it is to see vlogs from a couple of folks whose entire lives are on water. Invaluable knowledge from the scope of topics covered, to the perspective from which its shared.
Thanks mate. It’s a pleasure sharing with all of you!
Her: - '' Look at that… I've seen bigger. '' ( That's what sheeeeee said ) LOL
Love watching fellow Canadians living the dream, especially at these times with the COVID19 hunkering in isolation, enjoy and safe passages
WHAT A GREAT AND FUN EPISODE!!!!!...BLOWN AWAY by what you showed about the traffic on oceans...SUPER INTERESTING STUFF...thank you for sharing all this!!
Mind blowing how you lovely couple conquer the ocean. I will never stop to follow your story! We are wishing for your safety. Godbless!!

Going to have to remember this tip!
Awesome narrative of the crossing, with info-bits and significance insights in-between :)

Good job guys, are you meeting up with the guys at sailing nanji?
Ashley should do the intro.
What software did you use to show all the cool graphics for the ship traffic?
Welcome to Malaysia :)
Ash... crossing the traffic separation scheme probably made you wish you paid attention in 8th grade math word problems... you remember “a train left Montreal at 2:00 going 15mph, and a car left Quebec at 7:21 going 60 mph, ho long did it take to them to get to Vancouver?”
Sailors on the Elbe fight these problems every day ;-)
What do you use to check the traffic and weather?
Wow,I’m just in time. How are you guys? How’s that baby? Be safe amid all this corona stuff.
