Hey fisher. . . Those disc things that u said look like 'circle steel plates that kinda look like a washer' at timestamp 22:33 look kinda like what other creators are calling RAILROAD DETONATORS (EXPLOSIVES) they call police n the bomb squad when found
Hey Tyler, @ 8:50 that is a tool used in repositioning or realigning track as it is being laid or repaired. The tool is called a lining bar and eventually came to be known as a gandy. I sent you a video link a little while back showing Gandy dancers using the tool. - the 3 coupler pins you caught are indeed just that. You should clean all 4 of these items up and sell them to local railroad memorabilia collectors. They're worth way more than scrap. As I've stated before, those pins are at least 120 years old.
We live not far from the Gandy Dancer Trail here in NW Wis n have been on it many times over the yrs. It was named after the very hard-working crews that yrs ago laid the tracks n did repairs using Gandy tools made in Chicago. And yes, there are videos where you can watch members of those crews recreate what they did and hear them 'sing' their cadence as they go about their work. I watched a special a while back about the last repair crew and watched as they straightened a rail and realigned it using their 'dance-like' moves and calling out their cadence. It was fascinating!! We have found a LOT of railroad tools and items while magnet fishing n metal detecting also, and yes...several of Tyler's finds are worth WAAAY more than scrap price!!! We've also found a lot of lumber/sawmill items and will be donating items from both industries to a couple of local museums, one of which is a lumber museum. We could've sold them to private collectors, but by donating them to the museums more people can get the chance to see them. With duplicates found of some items, Tyler could do both. That way he could make a few bucks, but also have his name forever attached to a piece of found history. 🤗💙 I love seeing what Tyler finds!!! 🫶🏻🙋♀️
lots of great old items that can be cleaned up a great day of fishing. and even snow yea!! gotta love the white stuff ... stay warm and keep throwing..
That prybar or pinch bar is definitely worth cleaning up. Those Flopro pieces are the metal ends of a screw in push broom ĥandle. The box is an electrical disconnect box, the handle on the side is missing. It's used to shut off power to a machine so you can work on it.
Those threaded cylindrical pieces are for screwing on those glass insulators for high voltage overhead wires, maybe even for the telegraph wires that ran along side the railroads way back before telephones. It's some old but cool finds! Keep fishin'....
15:30 The flow pro, I’m going to venture a guess here, were mechanical fittings to the hydro-dam. All the old paper mills had hydro-dams, with the old miniature Ferris-wheel looking thing (temporary brain infarct) that scooped water up to the mill plant for paper making, which used a lot of water. Also, the dam could be raised and lowered for lumber being sent down river. I’m pretty sure Green Bay has a paper mill museum…
@@doreen0 I don’t know why I didn’t think to mention that back in 1961-63, my Dad actually had an interesting part-time job with Kimberly Clark corp., which was then the largest paper product manufacturer in the country, and was based out of northern Wisconsin. His job entailed driving a large box truck around to various school’s & businesses, and giving a demonstration education on how the paper products were produced from cutting down the trees, the various stages of processing them into pulp & then paper products, to distribution. In the box truck was miniature models of the equipment used from the forests to the mills to semi distributing. He loved the job, and was pretty proud of it, as it was his first “grown-up job” after HS.
I find this super relaxing also even having the old railroad spikes I think is pretty cool anything from the past is history and it shows and proves how our world changed I love finding anything from the past 1 day it will all be worth something enjoy your day and stay safe also here in Boston Massachusetts and new Hampshire we are expecting over a foot of snow im sick of it already bring on the nice weather just 2 days ago it was 55 out and yesterday snowed and rained new England weather for you
Excellent finds today. I guessed 10 railroad spikes 😂. You will have to keep going to that spot, as there are so many more treasures underwater. With all that heavy metal you may have to do a scrap run soon. Have a great day my friend ❤️🙂⚘️.
The double ended pry bar like thing is exactly that. They used tools such as that to align and adjust the rails as they were installing or maintaining them.
Dang Tyler! You snagged a big haul on this trip to the paper mill! I think they must have rebuilt the railroad at some point and just threw away all those spikes. Cheers
Last night wasn't too bad. The worst is supposed to hit late afternoon evening. It's some what windy, and cold. It's in the °20's, with the windchill it feels like °9 ish!!
@@theresa_lili I'm anxiously awaiting spring. Hope you don't get too much snow/ice where you are. I'm right on the border of rain?/ice?. At least that means we have 30 degree and not 20.
8:50 does look like a rail pry bar for inching the track into place once its set on the ties, 10:47 that is a mop or broom handle base that screws into the broom or mop head, the wood handle rotted away or was broke when they threw it in the water.
My my you've been busy. I live in scotland and love watching your videos man. Every day ive had notifications of tou posting footage. Keep it up man. Big respect 🤘🏻
Once again, awesome finds. Can’t wait for you to restore that lining bar aka gandy, (as @Merle Althafer called it). So much fun watching you magnet fish. I certainly wouldn’t do that in 25° temps tho. Also, I’m your neighbor by state. Keep the snow on your side please! ❤
So happy you still come back after some of us comes back and watches an eight month old video, even new subscribers come in , you never know, and I thank you for leaving us a heart❤ and if you do, here’s one back to you❤ Sure looks like you have some heavy finds to bad you didn’t bring your bucket load it up it’s easier to bring back-and-forth. You’re going to have your arms full of heavy finds 💪🏼💪🏼 🍀🍀🍀🍀 good luck, my friend I’m watching and hoping for more and more heavy finds😁👍🏼🥸
Hello, I have been thinking about that paper mill, and while I could be wrong, I think that back in the day they used mercury in paper making, with some of it getting out in the water. While I don’t want to scare you, and with that warning sign on the bridge. The next time you go there, you might go and ask someone who works their about that just to be safe.
Hey fisher. . . Those disc things that u said look like 'circle steel plates that kinda look like a washer' at timestamp 22:33 look kinda like what other creators are calling RAILROAD DETONATORS (EXPLOSIVES) they call police n the bomb squad when found
The box that you pulled up looks like an old disconnect it's an electrical box something that they put between the panel and like an air conditioning unit so you can easily turn the power off
Tyler, I enjoyed your video today! Your enthusiasm makes me sit up & take notice. Those creepy worms & bugs will be a feast for the birds, if they can get to them before fall back in the river! That snow looked nice. It is supposed to be near 80 in Senoia, GA this week.
Great givings from the old paper mill on the railroad again! If those who threw that stuff ever realized that someday, there was going to be this guy in a long beard & sunglasses, who would make cash money at the metal recycling station, plus much bigger cash money by videotaping himself doing something called magnet fishing, and showing his videos all over the world on something called UA-cam…yeah, they probably didn’t think ahead right? 😂😂😂 Oh well, their bad has worked out very well for YOU Tyler! And we’re enjoying every minute of it.
🥁 drum roll Do says you’ll find 16 Rail Rd. spikes this time!! this is my third guess and my third time watching the video and I never did find out the total of spikes but this time I will! Keep it up on your great heavy fines🍀🍀🍀👍🏼😁🌺🇨🇦
If Oshkosh or Green Bay doesn’t have a railroad museum (I know they have sections) I know Chicago does. Milwaukee probably does too. You could take the family & and Founding Father & girlfriend (Becky?) on a day trip, and find out what all those artifacts are.
🧐 Tyler do you think the scrap yards gonna give you 4 cents for everything their because of the rust… if they give you 6 cents well that’s going to be pretty awesome!❗️😄👍🏼👍🏼🍀🍀🍀
We get er sea otter. thanks for not changing ?. Awesome kool finds The Fisher:) Those strange lookin thingys could had wires on them like pulleys? Lots of Train items . Love ya your friend n fan Barbie NWFL.
Thank you for watching ❤️ if you enjoyed this video don’t forget to hit that like button 👍 😊

If you attach those springs onto your shoes, you could turn into Tigger 🤣🤣🤣
The large hexagon bar is a pinch point bar, definitely worth cleaning and reselling.
Awesome video Fisher. Cool stuff off the railroad. Get warm. Love your videos

Hey Tyler you are a trooper to go out in that weather! Some great finds in this spot!
10:35 mark - that looks like part of a push broom. Namely, the part that connects the handle to the broom itself
Awesome finds! Can't believe how much rust accumulates on everything plus the the little creepy crawlers 🥴😂
Excellent finds today. I guessed 10 railroad spikes 😂. You will have to keep going to that spot, as there are so many more treasures underwater. With all that heavy metal you may have to do a scrap run soon. Have a great day my friend ❤️🙂⚘️.
This was a amazing trip of Great finds. Really enjoyed your video. Thanks for cleaning and sharing. God bless 👍 😊
The double ended pry bar like thing is exactly that. They used tools such as that to align and adjust the rails as they were installing or maintaining them.
That third throw, pulling in that “I” beam, was heavy duty, dude. You are one heavy duty dude indeed.😄
Dang Tyler! You snagged a big haul on this trip to the paper mill! I think they must have rebuilt the railroad at some point and just threw away all those spikes. Cheers
Add a carabiner to the end of your rope, it makes it easier to attach the rope to your cart or whatever to keep the rope from flying into the water.
You sure do find assortment of items when you go magnet fishing. Love from 🇬🇧
I just love this spot. The treasures keep coming. Great video
The hourglass shaped things are support rollers for conveyor belts.
The weather guy, Ryan Hall Yall, said "historic blizzard" heading your way. Stay home and be safe.

Flow pro products are used in paper bed filtration, according to Duck Duck Go. Makes sense you’d find the remnants in that spot.

Thanks Tyler, another fun filled video!
Hey man I love your videos and I just got a 1700 pound magnet and a claw for the first time I want to see some more dumpster diving and good job tyler
The spike with the free rock is a limited time offer.
What a terrific day out with a gold mine of different things and worth going back to another day

Colorado says thanks Tyler for another great video. Stay safe, warm and well. See you on the next one.
Awesome finds thank you for a great video 🙂
Crazy about your videos….you are a cool dude
The power box thing would be a good one for clean up n restore Tyler just to see if it could be identified any further
Those big pins are rail bolts to screw into sleeper's to hold the plates down 👍
Ur so funny when u find stuff in the rivers Tyler keep up the good work
Great job as always!
I'm going with 12. I think you found about 9 spikes so I was kind of close. Great finds.
Wow! So much cool stuff. My guess was 10 spikes.
Some of the stuff you found were interesting😮😮
Nice finds.
Lovin' this spot!
This was a really cool video. You caught a lot of really good stuff. 🎉🎉🎉
Good cold video. Thank you much
You are the sweetest UA-camr
Hi Tyler those flo pro things are the ends of drain rod's 👍

Dial us up some beers 🍻! What state do you magnet fish?
This is Wisconsin!
Hey fisher. . . Those disc things that u said look like 'circle steel plates that kinda look like a washer' at timestamp 22:33 look kinda like what other creators are calling RAILROAD DETONATORS (EXPLOSIVES) they call police n the bomb squad when found
Great finds!! Love your videos!
Love it!!
The hour glass things are spacers from a RR bridge,to space the beams apart.
11:43 - looks like an electrical disconnect box. Used to isolate circuits.
The flo-pro pieces are broom connectors or squigy connectors.
Greatest video. Enjoyed it bro
we enjoy every video you do .🤜🤛
Stay warm love ya an summer is on its way 🥰🌹💯
My brother in law took all the spikes to to Gatlinburg, the man made knives that was so awesome 👌
The box that you pulled up looks like an old disconnect it's an electrical box something that they put between the panel and like an air conditioning unit so you can easily turn the power off
Great video.
The hour glass things are spacers.on the lower parts of A bridge .they are the thickness of the cross braces on the tressel.

Warm weather is coming brother...✌️
I get the itch to take up magnet fishing until I see how much you struggle with the heavy stuff. I wouldn't be able to handle that stuff, sadly.😊
Great video
Hello Cash, stay safe out there !!😍
I love your videos!!! ❤️
I was close on the spikes. I guessed 8 in my head after you pulled up the first 2 lol
nice stuff and alot also
great video
Those are hourglass conveyor rollers
I’d love to see the GoPro underwater here. Wonder what’s down there
Check back a few videos

You’ll have to clean up one of those hour glass things, might be able to tell what they are with the rust off 👍
10:40, probably a nozzle for something like a power washer.
Take a look at where the railroad tracks are spliced together
If Oshkosh or Green Bay doesn’t have a railroad museum (I know they have sections) I know Chicago does. Milwaukee probably does too. You could take the family & and Founding Father & girlfriend (Becky?) on a day trip, and find out what all those artifacts are.
Love your beard length.
All kinds of stuff today i wonder if the hour glass looking things have to do with big press rollers for printing presses?
11:30 That is a 3 phase motor control.
🧐 Tyler do you think the scrap yards gonna give you 4 cents for everything their because of the rust… if they give you 6 cents well that’s going to be pretty awesome!❗️😄👍🏼👍🏼🍀🍀🍀
bro i wanna magnet fish with ya mans i looks really cool every time i watch you and im curious about it
The ONLY thing you have yet to pull out of this spot is an Anchor! LOLOL where is all the water flowing from?
You need to go to a welding shop or Amazon and buy a chipping hammer. One of those would knock the rust right off of that stuff.
good video keep it up
Awesome video again
That prybar looks kind of like a tankers prybar (from when i was in the military)
You never told us with how many rail road spikes we ended up!
I guessed 12 but it looks like it could be more
