The finds may not have been spectacular, though I did like the sheep shears, but the amount of stuff you got out of the water was amazing, as ever. I always like to see the haul being loaded onto the scrapman's truck, or at least the collection piled up and waiting. It's unbelievable the amount of stuff there is yet to be recovered.

I just love it when you are all together, such a fun group. Credit to Nicolai ( probably spelled wrong) for taking all the ribbing with a laugh, they tease you because they love you. I use to make Jell-O shots in condiment cups- a pkg of cherry jello, one cup of hot water, dissolve add 1 cup cherry brandy, stir together and put in fridge to set. Lots of fun, but cherry ones you cannot taste alcohol, so be careful it creeps up on you

That leaf spring could have been a type of transverse leaf spring. I was just waiting for one- or both- of the girls to back up too far & fall into the water trying to drink . Nice bit of cleanup.

I think everything you pull out of the water is interesting but I do like the canals. The tin lid you pulled out of the water and the pot are more likely to be from the canal boat people, who need to take their rubbish and put them in the bins provided. Yes, their are incidents like losing a knife, fork or spoon,mbut tin lids need to be put in the bins.
Gin and tonic is my favorite summertime drink.
