Hi Heidi, I love this video! I didn’t know there were fall blooming phlox. I love the height of it! The geranium looks beautiful, too, and that area of the garden does have a cottage feel like someone commented, which is my favorite. Do you ever shear or deadhead your Russian sage mid-season? The phlox, clematis and alstromeria are stunning! Crape myrtles are very popular as multi- or single -trunk trees in Texas (and Louisiana). At the Dallas Arboretum, there is an area called Crape Myrtle Alley. With very mature crape myrtles that create a gorgeous arch pathway,

No, we generally do not trim them mid season.

hi, love your videos. so many ideas. you showed the crepe myrtle in the garden, saying they will die down to the ground.
I'm just over in grand rapids, will they work here as well? I know the lakeshore gets more snow cover which helps protects more.
    thank you

There are some varieties that are zone 5/6 hardy. You would have to be selective with the ones you select

Hi Heidi 👋 Everything looks FANTASTIC. I have a Q please? I live in zone 9b Texas Gulf Coast and I have a Blue Chiffon Rose of Sharon (2 yrs now) It has a regular pink hibiscus looking flower in the middle of the Blue Chiffon Flowers 🤔 Do they revert? I seen on another site/channel that a lady posted the same thing.. (don't know her zone etc)

Not knowing where this came from, it is possible that 2 plants(purposely) were planted in the same pot of different varieties. Some people like the mixed look of 2 or 3 colors all intermingling.

@@gardencrossings I ordered mine online from PW and it was definitely 1 single plant. Don't know about the other ladies 🤷‍♀️ Thank you Heidi.
