I have a DIG and a full-size Brigadier on my board, between the two I can cover a lot of ground and prefer them to a Timeline. The DIG in particular has something really special going on that just works in a live situation. Great video!
Did you notice the difference between DIG V1 vs V2? The V2 sounded too warm for me. Not sure if it’s the repeats or the new JFET input but it didn’t wow’d me when I had it. I had both v1 and v2 at the same time for about a month but couldn’t gel with v2. The v1 always wow’d me when I turned it on while the v2 was just meh.
I noticed differences too. I have both versions. I read a comment on another video which noted differences between V1 and V2 and here's what was said: "Tested both a lot. Think i solved the difference by setting dry level to unity gain and have mix set slightly higher than v1". Interesting. If @LeonTodd could test this out. Would be helpful to hear a pro tackle this!
I actually asked Strymon about this specifc issue on where to set the input level to make it the same as V1 and this is a direct quote of the reply: "You'll want to set the DRY LEVEL Live Edit to TRACK MIX- this should be the default, but in this mode, it is the exact same taper and parts performing the same function as on V1 DIG. Noon on the TONE KNOB is the same as V1!"@@georgekeenan72. It still doesn't sound the same as the V1 though. The stereo field is still wider and clearer on the V1.
Don’t you hate that. I’m tore between both of these but I think I’ll go for Dig and maybe the Brig later. I really think Strymon needs a smaller version of the Dig like the Brig and a smaller El Capistan.
Do you DIG or do you BRIG?
I DIG V2 and V1 🙂
Got the DIG after your vids.
Got the Brig first and just didn’t fall in love. I have the El Cap and just ordered the Dig. I think I’ll be set going forward. Great vid!!

Yeah the DIG is one of the few pedals that exceeds what it's trying to recreate
I wasn't sure I'd care for the Brig because I like more pristine digital stuff. Boy was I wrong. That "crust" is just excellent.
Gorgeous isn't it!
This Video was kinda Tutorial for me. I realizad, i don‘t know how to get the best out if my DIGV1. Thank you so much Leon!!
Glad I could help!
Your playing is awesome and whatever lick you did at 5:36 was amazing! Oh and the pedals sounded good too!
Digital and analog delays together has always been a favorite for me.
Dig 2 a very worthy component on any board or in a rack. Stellar guitar work Leon.
DIG is easily my fave pedal. I'm too scared to upgrade to V2.
Sounds awesome! Which pedal would you recommend for in front of an already dirty lead tone!
Sick tone with the heavy riffs.
Great review, also have to say the playing was monstrously good
Great demo. I'm DIG all the way. It's magical
Agreed!!
This is the video I was looking for to watch again love this one after this one going to sleep.🤟🏻
8:37 Lord have mercy, Leon.
The DIG is my favorite delay, ever... and I've owned plenty. One seriously heavy-duty piece of gear. It's absolutely insane how tweak-able it is.
Couldn't agree more!
😂😂🤣🤣 if I was in a shop with the cash to buy either!.... How could I choose, they are both top shelf...I'd be pulling my 80's hair out.
This channel is so awesome such killer content and great guitar player! Buy the Dig first and then the Brig for me!
Thanks mate!
The DIG is about perfect. Works amazingly well with a warm amp and easy to adjust for a bright one. Versatile without being daunting.

I need to borrow a V1 and try them side by side

Yeah I tried it when I had both. Still didn't do it for me. @@georgekeenan72

Didn't realize how amazing the DIG is until this vid, pretty much sold after this. Better late than never 🤷🏻♂️
Shoot just bought the brig but now I think I should’ve gotten the dig.

Hi, can you replicate the Andy Timmons delay sound on these pedals?
The DiG will get closest to that thing
@LeonTodd- Thanks!
Awesome
Dig,,,all day long
