I have been saying for a little while now. A good 90% of people can do every single thing they need to do computer related with just a phone. Samsung at least.
Yeah, other than real gaming or specific Windows applications (Like solid modeling, Catia, that kinda of stuff) you're right. It almost doesn't make sense to have a laptop anymore. Unless you have a thick dedicated graphics laptop... But then you don't need a tower PC...
With this feature most people don't need a PC or laptop/tablet. Imagine how much e waste this will save. This feature is wayyyy ahead of it's time
Apple user here but I love Samsung Dex. It’s an underrated feature and something that needs to be expanded on a lot more than what they’re doing now. The potential is too great.
Only if people used it much or understood how great it can be, it's a niche feature now for which it hasn't been expanded enough

I've been using dex daily basis for five years. started with s9+ and s22 ultra currently. I have to tell you that dex never disappointed me yet. I've been doing work and study (university) stuff and it's amazing. even though i have a ps5 and Xbox one X and do most of my gaming there. i still use dex for emulator gaming such as ps2,psp,nintendo and for native mobile games on my tv/monitor screen.I ❤ samsung for that.

@GFelix-jm4jj no,not at all. ad long as you have Dex connected with hdmi. Dex feature is somehow laggy though.
I'm into the Apple ecosystem but I think Samsung really killed it with their Dex setup.
Bought a Nexdock a few years ago and still works well.
I do very similar with both iPad Pro and DEX on Samsung phones. For 95% of everything I need it works perfectly. I also have a NexDock for travelling.
This is one key feature I would love to see Apple adapt on their iPhone Pro line up! I took my head off the Samsung but the Dex feature!
This might sound dumb, but can you recommend any office chairs? Mine is on its last legs and I'm having a hell of a hard time picking something when the choices out there are limitless.
Have you considered a KVM or something along those lines to switch between your computer and your dex setup?
Help us figure out how can we have this kind of setup and also use a webcam for it please!
I do like the Samsung Dex and now I am using it more than notebook. One thing I am still cannot solve is the mouse control. I tried a few mouses but still struggle ton position the page correctly. when trying to scroll up and down to the position I want to browse the page, it fails and only can view the top or bottom page, anyway I can solve this?

So Every time I try hooking up my Z Fold5 with my Asus Monitor using usb-c the display on the monitor is tiny. It doesn't reflect the screen size properly. Is their any way to change the aspect ratio??? I've also had this problem with my Note20 Ultra, S21 Ultra, S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra when using a non Samsung Doc! HELP!! OFF TOPIC BUT NOT REALLY?!? - NOT DeX but Screen mirroring!
How is your keyboard latency? Mine constantly lags and won’t register certain letters.
I have that exact dock and I am sad to say within a month of using it the usb-c port has become horribly loose and moreso the usb-c cord is faulty. I wish it wasn't so because I'm so untrusting on all the ones im trying to replace it with now.
Can a similar setup be used for an iPhone?
I love that you are continuing to make vidoes on the S24. I have the Tab S9 and use Dex everyday and literally have not touched my Macbook Pro in a few weeks. I have the S22 plus and will be upgrading to the S24 Plus.

I would like to have a ethernet super super important for gaming as with Dex you would need to use like shadow, geo force etc to play most steam games

If Apple did something similar to Dex on their iPhone Pro line it would be brilliant for most ordinary Apple customers but it might cause a dramatic drop in MacBook sales so I suppose we’re not likely to see it happening.
