I feel so proud and happy to see that Kannada cinema is now getting recognition which was long due. Hats off to Hombale Films and artists like Yash, Rakshit, Rishab and Raj for making this possible. Ayushman just increased my respect towards him by speaking few lines in Kannada.
Due and recognition comes from real good movies and now because of OTT the pan india phenomenon has started. kantaara and kgf are those movies which earned very good name for kannada film industry. The bar has risen, so bollywood which is a copy paste master is finding it tough to sustain its earlier glory. But Bollywood is also doing fine in selective OTT platform in terms of web series and films. Only big banner movies with big brand and no content are failing miserably.
The best part and learning for me was, when Rishab entered, he touched Anil Kapoor's feet in front of everyone and camera. What humility, showcasing his culture and upbringing. Love you Rishab. May God give you more power. Namaskaram

Example Namaskara is kannada and Namaskaram is Telugu. Kantara is a great movie. I totally agree with Rishab that Dr Rajkumar is,was, will be a legendary actor, matinee idol the world has seen. He was not only a great actor, a great singer and more of all a great Human being. "Botthayana maga ayu" is a movie which can be seen any day...such a mesmerizing movie. All Puttanna Kanagal movies and experiments made by Shankar Nag was exemplary...the other part of India was aloof for the great Kannada movies which came during 70s, 80s...

Exactly. The thought came to me too that there was a time when Kannada films were doing great - Girish Karnad and Girish Kasaravalli took Kannada films to great heights. Dr Rajkumar, Vishnuvardhan, Shankar Nag and Anant Nag were well- known too beyond geographical boundaries for their work in Kannada films . So I was a bit disappointed when Ayushman Khurana spoke as if Kannada films didn't exist at all earlier.

Dr Rajkumar is probably on the same level as Marlon Brando. Unfortunately his films and songs did not reach outside Karnataka! I mean the man portrayed almost all the characters without smoking or drinking on screen for more than 200 movies.

I completely get what Advi sesh means when people tell this is game changer. I myself thought after watching Goodachari, this guy will become tier 1 star in few movies. Naveen did two films here as a hero and both were super appreciated by the audience. I know they've market and their movies get appreciation. Rakshit shetty was in similar place at one time. But now he has surpassed tier 1 stars of KFI. He has bigger market in A centres than top heroes except Yash. And his movies even now are content oriented like 777Charlie Or ASN or next SSY. I was expecting that kind of rise of content stars in TFI. To invest 50-60 crores on them, given Telugu market. This assessment after knowing how much stars like Advi sesh involve in filmmaking similar to Rakshit. Might be comparison is far fetched.
Telugu audience only support bad actors like Chiranjeevi and Balayya. Even good actors like Mahesh Babu and Pawan Kalyan are doing bad films but audience are still making those movies hit instead of good content driven films.

Sita Ramam was pure Visual Poetry dancing on the screen!! it only enhances if u know Telugu bcz, the dialogues too were so poetic!! The film and actors looked so gorgeous on screen almost like a Disney film!!
Tamil dialogs and lyrics by Madan Karky were reeved in timeless poetry as well. He didn't try to mimic the Telugu writing, instead created so much depth and character to his version of Sita and Ram

Many people outside karnataka don't know Dr Rajkumar sir. Let me tell you guys Raj sir has done around 210 movies and he is the only actor in india to have a success percentage of 95%. Even legendary Hindi actor Prithviraj Kapoor sir has requested Rajkumar sir to act with him. Rajkumar sir's more than 50 films were remade in other languages!!
When rishab annaa said Bhootayyana magaa ayyu , Annavr cinemas felt 🔥very proud , we had like OGs Puttanna kanagaal, Siddlingayya, Girik kasaravalli , Bhargava, Dorai bhagawan , Even other south industries had in that time all south technicians used to cm here n work we used to go there so not now all south were like brothers at that time pan India concept was existed at that time itself

Perfect match for Kantara, Apocalypso for me it was boring at start, but I had belief that if it is a rooted movie, it won't disappoint me. But once the protagonist escaped from the villains, it was something like guruva's death in Kantara. Everything turned to awesome.

I completely get what Advi sesh means when people tell this is game changer. I myself thought after watching Goodachari, this guy will become tier 1 star in few movies. Disappointed at how Telugu audience have let down content stars like Nani, Advi sesh and polishetty. They deserve much bigger success like Rishab or Rakshit shetty. Advi sesh should collaborate with Kannada filmmakers and try his luck in KFI once. 🤞

Naveen did two films here as a hero and both were super appreciated by the audience. I know they've market and their movies get appreciation. Rakshit shetty was in similar place at one time. But now he has surpassed tier 1 stars of KFI. He has bigger market in A centres than top heroes except Yash. And his movies even now are content oriented like 777Charlie Or ASN or next SSY.

Sita Ramam was pure Visual Poetry dancing on the screen!! it only enhances if u know Telugu bcz, the dialogues too were so poetic!! The film and actors looked so gorgeous on screen almost like a Disney film!!
Tamil dialogs and lyrics by Madan Karky were reeved in timeless poetry as well. He didn't try to mimic the Telugu writing, instead created so much depth and character to his version of Sita and Ram
