So happy you've done a review on this! I've currently got mine in transit and am looking forward to pair it with my soon-to-arrive K8 Pro! :)
hey did you tried these switches on your k8 pro ? I also have k8 pro wanna know if it improved the thock
Well I certainly didn’t expect to see the creator of flood escape here. Awesome game btw
I just wanted to add that I have the previous version, I finished breaking them in (removed all lube first). I ran it through a break in machine and did 1.4 million activations. Honestly, comparing broken in vs not broken in I could not really tell the difference. So these are great as they are from factory. I guess the only switches that needs to be broken in are the ones like MX Black, where you really feel and hear a lot of scratch.
I could listen to that all day
1:52 - my 3 boxes would like to have a chat with you 😂 almost every switch had leaf ping, even sorting them out I couldn't manage to find enough decent switches for a 60%, that being said, they're insanely good for the price and I'm honestly excited to try these new improved ones out!
Ow man we have the same problem, mine only has some (around 15) problem switches out of 2 boxes.
All my Akko switches have developed leaf ping after some months (Sponges, Jelly Blacks, Lavenders). Was hoping to see some improvements, but I see it isn't the case.
I tried this switch on my friends keyboard then order it for myself, I think short travel distance + 50g force will be my go for many years.
sheesh those ̶A̶k̶k̶o̶ ̶J̶e̶l̶l̶y̶ ̶Y̶e̶l̶l̶o̶w̶s̶ Akko Cream Yellow Pros look great!
I personally think the jelly are overrated
@@dan3thegoat meanwhile I think the Creams are overrated, altho i like their other v3 switches like the CS Pianos.
@@Sylveighty how come ?
@@dan3thegoat in my local scene, almost everyone and their mom had either cream yellows or blues so i guess its just that I'm just burnt out.
@@Sylveighty k
I just bought the 2 pack. Was looking for a review. You came in a clinch to justify my purchase 😂
I have two packs here. They sound so awesome stock. Thanks for this video!
do u recomend them to lube or its totally fine stock?
@@janmichaelsuarez2996 lol
one of the first reviews akko cyp v3, tysm,
this is a great video, thanks so much it really helped me decide on whether to get a keyboard with these or not!! the stock sounds amazing
One thing that dissapointed me a little were the 5-pin sockets, mainly because Akko was well-known for being able to fit in outemu-only boards, (out of the box) and now that unique trait is gone here.
It's more of a big deal to those with outemu-only hot-swap sockets than it is to those with universal ones tho, but this characteristic was what made Akko switches unique in the first place, which is why I'm talking about it right now.
As long as they can still fit in Outemu-only sockets once the extra stability poles are clipped off, I can still accept that.
well, clipping the 2 pins off is an option if some are open to it
I mean other than the fact that they were known for having outemu hotswap sockets compatibility, there is other characteristics that make it unique like pricing, smoothness and it's quality. Like any other person, you could just clip the 2 pins off that's all.
@@kayoriskeyboards That's my take on it too. I buy Akko because they have good quality at a reasonable price. If that means I have to clip pegs to fit PCBs that don't support them, okay. Annoying, but not a deal breaker.
@@kayoriskeyboards Do they fit in Outemu only sockets after you clip the extra pins off? I at least want the main metal pins to still fit in these sockets.
@@animate4529hat should I use to remove the extra stability pins?(new to switches and KBS)
That deskmat looks dopeeee.
Love that deskmat and keycaps, may I ask where you got them from?
Nice sounding! I like your board too, very nice!
Damnit Merkeebs/Akko, i was gonna stop buying keyboard stuff and move onto new hobby. NOPE, just had to release a better version of some of my favorite switches. I prefer the cream blues, but i know its coming soon.
I received it today and I lubricated it they are great
asmr tap
is it also good stock?
What lube and how did you lube them?
that speed run hehe
love everything about the switch except the travel is only 3.3mm... i wish akko made more non long pole linears
Thats the main thing I love about these and most of Akko's switches. I feel like you can get so many other switches with the same characteristics but with a 4.0mm travel. They are everwhere.
I just bought these for my foray into mechanical keyboards!
You won't be disappointed! These are an absolutely amazing starter switch.
@@Merkeebs I just bought WS Morandi's and still prefer the Cream Yellow Pro's. What is better than the Cream Yellow Pro's in your opinion.
they sound like building things in lego videogame lmao :D i like it
just got mine superb!!!
Is it clacky?
Just need the Haze Pink Pro!
lol that would look and sound really nice
What should I get? I’m debating on:
- AKKO V3 Cream Yellow Pro
- AKKO V3 Cream Black Pro
- AKKO V3 Silver Pro
Which one should I get?
I used to have a Red Switch Keyboard but had to buy a new one cuz it broke.
I now bought the same keyboard (RK61) but in came with Brown Switches because it was on sale.
Which one should I get from the 3 Switches I mentioned?
I want to try something different than Red Switches BUT would give me almost the same experience.
Can't go wrong with cream yellow or black. Both are solid picks.
@@Merkeebs okay thank you so much for replying!
I really really need that switch opener
Really helpful!
Might get these and the Cream blue pros
Are you liking both? Are they smooth to type on?
How do you like your Endgame Gear XM2WE? I got mine yesterday, and am not sure if I like it yet. I usually use a Finalmouse Starlight, so having a more rotund shape and weight made my hand sore after a few hours of gaming. I'm going to keep trying to use it, but it might be a mouse I'll give away to a friend or family member.
Just gonna thought dump here lol.
So it's actually my first Endgame Gear mouse so I'm still getting used to it.
Coating wise, hands down probably the best coating I've used on any mouse.
I switch back and forth between my XM2WE and a Pulsar X2 Mini.
The XM2WE is my mouse of choice for use on the Pulsar glass pad and it's been super fun to hit flicks with.
@@Merkeebs I definitely agree on the coating, it feels great! I've heard it's different between the white and black models. I also have the white one, and it feels really premium. I have yet to play PVP with it. In PVE games I don't ever notice my gameplay increasing or decreasing, but in PVP I can definitely feel it. I will probably try it out tonight and see how things go!
Good job to the video new sub bro 😎
Hi! For someone trying to make their board sound "deeper" or "thockier", is this switch recommended? Or the Akko black jellies are better suited for that sound? Thank youu!
If you want something deeper, the akko piano switches might be a better choice. I have the jelly blacks in my board and I wouldn't say they are very deep. But it probably varies where you use them.
@@norfabatonas I see! Thank you for this! For tactile, the ocean blue or lavender purple are the ones that seem to have a somewhat deep profile?
I have an akko 3068 b plus keyboard and these switches don’t fit in for some reason despite both having 5 pins and being hot swappable, I tried putting too much force in it but it still won’t click in, when It did one time it worked but when I pulled out my keycap, the switch came with it. I don’t wanna break it, nor cut off the 2 extra pins, am I missing something?
this or the Cs Piano? what's the main difference? pros and cons?
The alu board makes the tactiles and the linears sound so similar lol.
Yup for sure. Gonna try making dedicated soundtests for a few different boards down the line with these new switches to better showcase any differences.
Me here who just bought Lubed Akko V3 Cream Yellows 2 weeks before this released :(
OG Cream yellows are still solid performers
Lmao same!! But you gotta appreciate the creaminess of the OGs 😁
@@Merkeebs very solid and creamy indeed
which is more heavier? jelly black or this?
Is it poppy or its just the board?
which case do you use for the switches?
can it fit to Royal Kludge rk65 Keyboard?, also a 5 pin keyboard.
what keycaps you r using?
I have a question about the akko v3 creamy yellow pro, does it support every type of keycap? and if it doesnt, which type of kleycaps does the akko v3 yellow creamy pro support?
i dont know about keycaps but they dont support every keyboard case
May i know that these switches have long pole stem or not?
Just have some budget kit before my GB board arrive, but still intend to make them sounds good
Therefore eyeing on these switches but not sure are they long pole/cause interference or not
These do have a long pole yep.
Sounds really good!
Side q tho, what switches are you currently using on your main keeb? 😁
It's hard to pick just one switch and board in my collection of almost 40 keyboards (I have a problem I know haha)
But my top 3 switches at the moment that I use pretty regularly are:
1. KNCKeys Green Jacket Linears - Owlab Link 65
2. Gateron Cream Soda Linears - KBD67 Lite
3. Durock POM Linears - Tiger 80 Lite
@@Merkeebs thanks for replying! I’ll keep these in mind when I get a new board. Haha
Stay awesome!
@@gpuro2641 Likewise~
Why we can't buy them nom ? Like it's Unavailable forever ?
Which switch opener did you use?
Hello, noob question. Is this compatible with Rakk Ilis?
Unfortunately no the pins are too wide
V3 Cream Blue Pro review also coming soon?
Yup! I have 2 boxes of those right here. I'll be working on those soon, just not sure exactly when. Gonna try and get it done asap.
@@Merkeebs Please please please show the tactility slowly in the video so we can get an idea on how strong it is. Thank you very much in advance!
is there a link for the amazon one yet?
Quick question, will the switches allow rgb to shine through without making it slightly yellow?
There are light pass-through holes for the LED's to shine through so no issues there :)
with white rgb it shines a piss yellow
this or the pianos? which is clackier?
thats stock???
when lubing the switches do you have to remove the pre-lubed before lubing?
You ,can but I don't think it is necessary. Just don't overlube
Which keyboard is this?
Will these switches work on a board with north facing LEDs?
Yes. Short travel means no cherry interference.
So clacky dammmn 😍🔥❣️
hi there, i ordered gmk67 with akko cream yellow v3 PRO with SA profile keycap, and further research i founded that the PRO version is not as thocky as non PRO one as it is more higher pitch pop sound, i have not yet seen someone else building keyboard with gmk67 with the cream yellow v3 PRO, so im just wonder with all that fact, gmk67, cream yellow v3 pro and SA keycap, with mods, will my keyboard come out as thock deep sound?
Ye it really depends on your keyboard mods or you could live these switch for no clack if you can
Did you get 10 extra switches like they mentioned on their website cause i ordered 2 packs and im just curious
These were sent out for review so I only got the switch packs. Nothin else.
Think buyers will be receiving the 10 switch sampler though
@@Merkeebs okay thx for the reply
How to lube them if they come inside a non-hot-swappable Akko keyboard?
Cool
Finally
are v3 pro switches compatible with k617fizz outemu sockets? I asked akko and they said that they are compatible.
Yo same situation but k617 fizz is 3pin. This means that you gotta cut the stems off the Akko v3 prob yellow switches. Try using pilers or nail clippers.
@@Echoingmuffin-sv2do they are not due to pins are too wide for outemu pcb
What keycaps are those?
Why do they lift the mouse and click it twice before staring to type? Any specific reason or just tryna follow the culture?
It's kinda like a testing method before the sound test for audio syncing and audio levels, you can use the sound to sync the audio if it's out of sync or test if it's in sync. It's also used as a reference for listeners to understand the volume of the board.
It helps because there are mics that make voiceovers sound deeper and nicer but the same mic the switch sounds 'thockier' but in reality the notes are not as deep. To be fair to reviewers, its not easy to capture full realism unless you have high grade expensive microphones. And it also depends on your own listening gears. Since is not realistic to expect reviewers to do that, the mouse clicks does help gives some reference and better idea the sound signature modifiers. It is definitely better than snapping the fingers because not everyone snaps the same way
Nice video!
Thank you!
you should review it!
@@Drizzyfn. Merkeebs have already done such a good review, why should I?:DDDD
@@keebdude Products are always worth checking out by anyone and everyone hehe. A fresh perspective is always a good thing~
are these good for gaming
what are those keycaps?
How would you compare these to Akko CS Piano?
Surprisingly alot more stable feeling but I guess its mostly due to the box stem. Sound wise though, the Piano's definitely have a much louder clack to them. The Piano's are noticeably snappier compared to these V3 Cream Yellow Pro switches because of the longer spring.
Nice vid
Akko is stock?
Whooooooaaahhh clack! Clack! Gimme all dat!
How would these compare to gateron milky yellows pro, ktt kang white, ktt strawberry, ktt rose
how do these feel compared to the matcha green?
Smoother and sounded better than Matcha, in my opinion.
@@huunhanle3809 do you notice any difference in weight/typing force required?
@@sy0635 Aye, there is a big difference between the spring of those two. The spring of Cream is longer than Matcha so it makes the bottom-out feel less fatigue than Matcha.
Not to mention the spring of Cream has less pinging noise than Matcha, so it's a big plus for me :D.
which chip Tactile switches do u recomend ?
Same as these but blue 💙
@@OViceroyO thanks for the answer, do u use them ? i am ordered them from the amazon and i will waiting, because his dont have in stock) do u lube them ?
@@Rafizrua yes. They are amazing. Order them, you won't regret
do u clean his prelube before your hand lube or not ?
Nope not really. I only tub lube the stems anyways so it all goes pretty evenly.
@@Merkeebs but do u recomend clean prelub before the hand lube ?
You call that stock sound. Akko take my money
I'm between these and the AKKO cs piano switches. Can anyone give their opinion and help me?
what is the difference between the pro and the standard version?
As stated in the video…
-Factory lubed stem rails
-5 pin bottom housing instead of 3 pin
-Cherry bottom housing instead of kailh
-Dustproof box stem instead of regular cross stem
I wonder if it is as creamy as the original cream yellows
definitely more creamier and higher pitched
2:22 - Sound Test
if anyone knows what keyboard this is looks nice with those switches and if any one has recommendations for keyboards that are good with the switches that come with it or are hot swapable
IM BOOUUTTTAAAA BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
what keeb is that?
what are your kaycaps?

@@Merkeebs thx
😭😭😭😭 i bought wrong type i thought they were the sameeeeeee now i have 45 normal and 45 pro... Noooooo
i want 61 switches but there is only 45!
Do they need films?
I don't think you will need to, unless the switch's housing began to wobble when you have opened them up for lubing. Otherwise, if nothing happens, you don't need to film the switches.
They have a pretty tight housing so they don't need films necessarily
Anong keycaps gamit dito?
