Thanks for the great review! After watching this I would go with the Freewell as the flares look more natural, more like a real anamorphic lens, as opposed to the Ulanzi where the flares look slightly curved and out of alignment. This shows that the optical performance of the Freewell is superior, plus they've got way more experience when it comes to making filters.
Do you know of any wide-angle lens for the OSMO Pocket that can be left on when we switch on the device? For example, lenses such as the Ulanzi need to be attached after the OSMO Pocket is switched on, which is very inconvenient.
What was your project setting with ulanzi in post? I created project in 4416x2160 (from 4k footage) and then increase X axis to 15%, but the video seems a little bit unsqueezed. Also, not sure which setting is the best for photos with ulanzi lens on osmo, I try unsqueezing by eye, but can't always be sure that I do it 100% accurate.
what pissed me off about the ulanzi is that when i purchased it the listing stated 1.33 but it wasnt now that same listing states 1.15 and there's a newer one labeled 1.33. now when i surf reviews i have to make certain which lens they mean
You would be able to do it in post in iMovie- I would assume. All you need to do is unlock the horizontal and vertical points and resize the horizontal to something smaller like 87% rather than 100%
Hey Jason! Nice comparison. Well, looks like I have to spend a few more coins on the Osmo Pocket Anamorphic Filter. And for the Mavic Air 2 too. Wait, I need to get the Mavic Air 2 first😂 Have a nice day👍👊
I'm pretty sure these are the same lens with different coatings, China makes most of these lenses and companies just take them and slap their name on it
Thanks Jason! Very helpful comments. And published on my birthday! 😆
Thanks. Answered all the questions I had about the 2 lenses and some I hadn't thought of too!
Just loving watching an Australian accent version🤙
He's not British? 😜
Lol!
Haha thanks Mauro! Legend
Thanks as always! Your baby girl is getting so big! She’s adorable!
Thank you joseph
Really looking for the Osmo Pocket 2 with a 1" sensor...
yes!
Haha hopefully!!!

Definitely great quality over the ulanzi
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema Hey thanks again for your advice, much appreciated! ✌️
finally anamorphic lens for osmo pocket!!
Is there any 1.33 adapter ? 1.15 is something that noone uses.
Anamorphic was and is the future (cinematic films)!!!!
With an anamorphic lens, it certainly looks like a cinema.
I'm looking forward to your video when the Gopro hero9 arrives.

Nice video editing there! What video editor do you use? :)

Is there available freewell anamorphic lens 1.33X for osmo pocket
Oof those lens flares look so good! Especially from such a small camera.
Anamorphic lens boosts the quality of the osmopocket.
Are there any ND/PL filters for this anamorphic lens?
Wow! Thank you for this. I’m thinking of getting one for my osmo pocket
Worth it. I like it for something different
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema Exactly
WOW bro She's got so big already !!! Oh yeah thanx for the vid bro :P
Can you please provide link for the freewell lens? Thx
Watching the video since plan to buy one tomorrow. Hope it won't degrade the image quality
It seems to keep the image quality which is great
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema hope it's available in B&H. How about the ulanzi version, I saw one on Amazon they have a new version
Quick question for you Jason. Do I need some high end software to stretch the video in post. I’m using only iMovie on my iPad. Thanks mate👍😊

Jason Morris Thanks Jason, I’ll check it out😊
how can u get the right shutter speed with this and without nd flter?
filming at sunrise or sunset where there is not much light
You can now with the Freewell. The ND filter goes behind
yes. i made a new video of this
Nice masking effect
Hi Jason, so you advice Freewell over Ulanzi, right?
They're very similar but I feel freewell does a better product
Do they have 1 for osmo pcoket 2?
it is coming soon
are you able to add nd filters with it or shoot in auto only
Unfortunately no filters can be added
Could it be attached to some ND filters? I mean, ND filter and Ulanzi at the same time?
unfortunately no
Will this work with DJI pocket 2?
Yes, all filters will work
Thanks Chief
thank you for watching
Great video.
Thank you for watching
I bought Ulanzi and it was poor sharpnes
Seems like it's uneven quality
Forget my first post
something went wrong
Are they the same price. I’m thinking freewell is best. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Free well definitely takes the cake here

Haha fair call. Mavic Air 2 is a nice drone
Freewell....much much better ...
I'm pretty sure these are the same lens with different coatings, China makes most of these lenses and companies just take them and slap their name on it
They're different lenses as the design is different on both. They're build different st close up
I bought Ulanzi and it was terribly sharp,
it seems like Uneven Quality.
Je préfère freewell...
hey there is a zeapon on the wall
There is two 😉
