I must admit that out of all of the countries in the world, Peru has never been on my peripheral in terms of countries I'd love to visit. However after keeping up and watching all of your amazing travel vlogs I'm quickly becoming quite enamoured of the country myself. Your videos have opened my eyes to the magnificent beauty of Peru and I've really enjoyed discovering the country with your family as a guide. Thank you so much for sharing these amazing experiences with us!
Mike is super brave that he drives in different countries and sometimes not knowing the language. And not being afraid those animals were going to stampede. Hats off to you dude!!! Totally.
I hope the children realize how blessed they are to have each other in their lives. I grew up an only child, and it was very lonely at times. My Dad would play games with me most days. I love to see how your kids get along and have fun.
So true, I grew up with so many brothers and cousins and my son has been an only child for ten years and had seen how lonely he is, I'm pregnant now and even though they will have a big age gap, it will be someone else for him to love... we move to the US and with no friends or family it is only the 3 of us.
I grew up as an only child too. I had to beg my dad to play a game with me..maybe once a year. But we did go on nice vacations. I am in my seventies and still hope a sibling will show up. My grandmother was an only child, she had five children, but only three grandchildren, one died at nine. My two cousins lived far away and 13 years older then me. Two aunts lived in San Francisco and that was a fun place to go to visit. One Aunt was a fun Aunt! I had three, plus adopted one. I have five grandchildren. Love this large family!
Esther I really enjoy seeing you nurture the younger children and reassure them. You are a blessing in their lives just as you are blessed to have such a caring and adventurous family.
She is not forced to. You can easily see her in several of their videos going to the child who is crying, uncomfortable etc. It is her nature. Also, part of being a human and a part of a family is to help out and to be a part of a whole. My children were given these duties with love and their futures in mind. Not because they were prisoners because society works this way and I wanted to be sure they were loving, capable, honest contributing members of society. In return they recieve the same blessing. Anything short of that is selfish to mankind. I see the comment I replied to is gone. Good. Negativity is not needed or warranted here. Much love
@@marywright9348 oh I agree. There was a snide comment about being forced to babysit and watch your siblings blah blah blah. The selfishness grabbed me. This family is what is right in the world. They are open and honest. Megan and Mike are truly an example of what parents should aspire to be. Their model was similar to some of my upbringing and I am truly grateful, because I was able to have the same with my children. Blessed
I have watched all your videos as i am a travel enthusiast too. I have really noticed Esther lately and her relationship with the little ones. The care and compassion she shows them just melts my heart. What a kind and thoughtful soul she has. Bless her and your lovely family. I am a teacher in Australia but I think the world, life experiences and travel is the best teacher. It gives your children such a well rounded view and teaches them understanding, empathy and compassion, just to name a few. Thank you for opening up your good and bad experiences for us to learn about the world too.
👍 minute 17:12 the View is Amazing. The good thing is that most of the Andes in Peru are blessed with this kind of scenery. One data for you guys, Peru is as the top 10 countries with availability of fresh water in the World and the availability is spreaded evenly across the country because of the Andes. It is like an sponge for fresh water obtained of rainy season
What gorgeous scenery 😍 Meagan and Mike, your children are going to have the most amazing memories of their wonderful, active childhood! They've truly been exposed to the World around them !! Such lucky kiddos to have wonderful, loving, and adventurous parents !!! Sending you much love and prayers for continued safe travels. ❤🙏❤🙏😘
Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for sharing your Peru adventure. For some reason I got a bit teary seeing the beautiful countryside - truly amazing! Please tell Eve how proud I am of her, she pushes through when things are tough and a little bit frightening. Well done, Eve xo
Okay..... you must write a book on traveling with kids. I’ve been in amazement at the Knorpp culture and how many years you must’ve worked toward a place of sharing, loving, playing together, being flexible, etc. I’m sure there are trying times, but from what I see, I’m in awe! Some people can’t travel with one child let alone 8! You all are gems! I love watching your journey. 🥰
I loved this video!! Seeing what a great big sister Esther is to Eve never fails to bring a smile to my face, she is just so patient and kind. And there was something about seeing the kids just interacting and playing together that was so sweet, it almost brought me to tears :). Glad things are going a bit smoother for you now, can't wait to see the rest of the trip! Love from Canada.
your footage of the landscape of the Sacred Valley has brought me some tears to my eyes, sometimes I as a Peruvian don't realize how beautiful our country is, with all its challenges, downsides, beauty, amazingness, Peru is an amazing place. Here I am, stuck in Australia after a year completing my studies, unable to go back due to quarantine, lockdowns, and closed airports. I just realize how much I miss home.
Sooo beautiful!!! What you get on the restaurants is called almuerzo "lunch", usually 2 options and always soup 1st... In Ecuador we get the soup, rice with meat/fish/eggs and on the side salad or plantains and for dessert some fruit! I see that in Peru people eat a lot more potatoes ;) When I came to the US it was so weird not to find a full almuerzo, specially soup and tropical fruit, I miss it so much!!!
Loving this journey. Such sacred place.♥️✨ These adventures are a gift of a lifetime for your kids. most kids NEVER get to experience these travels or even adults. Thank you. I am enjoying it so much. 🤗
Love going on this trip with you all. I'll never see it myself, so it is amazing seeing these places through your eyes. Thank you for sharing your trip with us.
I so appreciate how you educate me along with your kids! Thanks for reading off websites and explaining to me what you are seeing...so awesome and I learn a lot from watching you!!
Minute 20:20 Those Corns are a unique variety in the World. It can only grows at that high altitude and were domesticated by pre-incas (before the ncas) thousand of years ago
What a wonderful education for the kids. I can’t say it enough how gorgeous it is there and I’m not even there. I can only imagine what it’s like in the flesh to be wondering among all that interest past. I can say thank you for taking us along with you though. Big hugz
Notice the burnt lace on the fried egg? I don't think there are more than a dozen Peruvians in the whole country that know how to fry an egg. I'm a long time expat resident of the Valley and love it down here, I fry my own eggs, haha.
This is the only way I can get to see such a beautiful country. I am not an adventurous soul. There is no way I could go into mountain that high. I'm so glad wonderful people with cameras are brave enough to do it and share it. Stay safe!!❤️❤️
Oh my! I realise I keep commenting with the same exclamations but.... really the sights are just breathtaking. Thank you so much for sharing. I know I shall never visit Peru so I am living my experience vicariously through you all. Thank you so much. X
We read Secret of the Andes with our kids earlier this year and it was really neat to see the salt mines and area similar to what is described in the book. Thank you for sharing!
Wow! Wow! and Wow! I'm curious what crops the workers were tending in the one field? Do they still farm the Three Sisters(corn, squash and beans)? Peru is a truly amazing country! Maybe after you get home, you could do a Q&A? So many questions, but so little internet! LOL! You've done an awesome job keeping us up to date! Continued safe travels!

Wow so beautiful. What an amazing place to visit. I love how wonderful Megan is with Eve encouraging her when she feels like giving up❤️ Love seeing your children play together and having so much fun. And Mike has done an awesome job at planning it all out for you all.
The kids look so happy. You both are suchvaasome and fun parents. Peru looks so beautiful and screene. I hope you all time to just relax and soak it all in. You guys are the best. Thank you for including all of us on your amazing family adventure. Many blessings and love to each of you.
Hey and hail my friends !! Speechless looking at that site where they farmed...and cannot even conceive of how magnificent it actually was back in the day . Almost looks high tech and computer generated...so sophisticated and awe inspiring ! So great to see you having such an adventure and soaking up all that heritage . Loving all of this so so much !!! Hugs for you all....up in the clouds !
👍 👍 Maras has a very good quality Salt, it has a slight pink color If you are going back home, try to buy some of them because it has more mineral than usual white salt
Ok, that was fantastica all the up and downs you went through finally paid off. The amount of green all around was so fresh. Enjoy Knorpp family. : ) peace
I love Esther's kindness towards the little ones! She'd be a great elementary teacher :)

All good lessons to learn. The difference between tourists and travellers has nothing to do with how many countries visited.
That was very kind of the person to let the kids go in!
While watching I kept thinking what amazing pictures Elijah would be taking x
Wow Machu pichi is one of the wonders of the world !

Coming down that hill, about halfway thru, was so so beautiful. Also... unimportant, but I'm loving what the humidity is doing to your hair. Ha ha.
Honestly this is what kids need to be doing nowadays... playing! Not sitting in front of the tv for hours on end!
Like a dream ... Thank you for sharing these amazing pictures🙌🏻⛰😍!
