Oh man, if you haven't heard Bodom before, listen to their music from their prime. anything from Hatebreeder or Follow The Reaper albums. Downfall, Hate Me, Kissing the Shadows, Towards Dead End. So many good ones.
When i was 14 years old i was downloading a random collection of metal songs on Limewire, and there was a few Bodom songs in there. Silent night Bodom night was the first one i heard and i was hooked for life. It have been almost 15 years since, and the fact that the guys was in their late teens when they wrote most of the classics still blows me away.
Yes, Children of Bodom kick ass! Their first 4 albums are some of the best melodeath albums ever imo. They were the first death metal band I ever saw live, and the band that got me into death metal. I was 13 at the time, and they were opening for Megadeth and Suicidal Tendencies. I had never heard of them before, and I thought I was gonna hate them because I knew that they had harsh vocals (which I thought I absolutely despised at the time). Then they came out, and I believe they actually opened with this song, and I was immediately hooked. The keyboards were what made me take note of them, and definitely helped me get into them more. If you wanna check out more, their song “Downfall” is one of my all time favorite songs. Its a lot more raw than this song, and the vocals especially sound very different, but its incredible imo.
Children Of Bodom is my, favorite band ever and Alexi Laiho is my favorite guitarist ever. I was lucky enough to see them live at the last Children Of Bodom gig (Was 13 at the time) last december and got to meet the band. Such a shame that the band is done
Just stumbled on this reaction. first off rip Alexi. I met him in edmonton alberta before the show hell of a guy... children of bodom is one of my favorite bands.... love the reaction my guy great vid
My favorite album is Hatebreeder, and Bed of Razors is my favorite song of all time. I actually saw them live 3 times last year. Drove from Austin to Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston to see them all in one weekend.
alexi is probably one of the best guitar players ever to play this shit WHILE hes singing. this is a really simple song for them. Made as a single for the album
This was one of the first songs I'd ever heard from them, along with Bodom Beach Terror and Bed of Razors, back in 2009. They also got me into guitar. One of my favorite songs is Lil' Blood Red Riding Hood, it's on the Hate Crew Deathroll album.
children of bodom have a cover of Britney Spears ops i did it again , they have a Album with only coversongs, thats where the song shiping down to boston is on, thats a Dropkick Murphy song. BTW still waiting on a Backstreet Girls first listen ^^
you should listen to their first 4 albums especially hatebreeder and follow the reaper. There is a lot of classical influences in it. Insane guitar and keyboards.
A metalhead that havent heard about CoB? Hmm... Curious. Even referring to Alexi as the little guy with the tattoos, haha. Hes actually one of the best guitarists in the metal scene and has made some of the best riffs out there. He was lead guitarist and vocalist in CoB too. Rip Alexi!
Awh man you didn't come back to check out their early albums. You're missing out on so much ear bliss from Downfall, Angels Don't Kill, Kissing The Shadows, Living Dead Beat, Needled 24/7, Follow The Reaper--list goes on.
Such a funny reaction. My fac was stoic til I heard the bass. If I did this video over...I would cut out the 5 min of talking before, and maybe out that to after the video reaction.
Hatebreeder and Follow The Reaper are on a different level from their other work. Listen to Warheart, Silent Night Bodom Night or Children Of Bodom. Amazing songs.
@@bobbysimpson5540 It is sad, the greats always get taken young. Cobain, Lennon, Hendrix, Morrison.....but at least they all left behind a fantastic catalogue of music and left their mark on the world. Their families, friends, and fans can always take solace in that.
@@bobbysimpson5540 did you listen through their earlier albums? I recommend more songs: Towards dead end, Children of Bodom, Follow the reaper, Downfall etc.. fucking amazing songs that he wrote at 17-19 years of age!
Great song, but on the subject of your shirt if you have not seen the video go check out Behemoth John rice drum cam from sick drummer Magazine with the video ov Fire and the void, video shows some crazy footwork on the drums
It's kinda obvious that you have heard the song before, you knew what the bass is going to play, and you "predicted" the drums. Please don't lie on your community

@@metaliikka627 yeah i found out, i have the cover cd and the song wasn't there, but long time since i heard the cd.
Saw them touring with Black Label Society September 2009, in Winnipeg. Awesome live but I think even better in studio. YMMV
Very late reply but who was headlining that show?
Great band
REST IN POWER ALEXI! Still in shock!

Hatebreeder and follow the reaper are definitely certified melodeath classics.
Anyway another great song from them is "every time I die" check it out

Yup Alexi was definitely an all time great metal guitarist, killer riff writer and especially as a soloist, so many sick solos.
RIP Alexi ;(

Do "In Your Face - Children Of Bodom" music vid next bro!
React to Needled 24/7 I think that's their best song
Wait a second. You look the guy who was at the the end of the thing with "Bates Motel" was that you?
Not the end, but the guy who had the weed farm
really? shit now I gotta go watch Bates Motel....
Never heard of C.O.B. What???? Go big or go home!
Ive heard of the name but never listened to them. Not Bad, not sure it would make a Playlist. Guitar work is Killer.
Give a listen to the albums Follow the Reaper, Hatebreeder and Hate Crew Deathroll. They went for a more straightforward sound on this album.

There is actually an artist called Children of Boredom, aka Boredomi.
