This is one of the best videos I've seen about Thailand gold. I did a video similar on my channel. One thing I will say is I haven't had a problem selling Thai gold in the United States. If have problem selling Thai gold in different country maybe try to find a gold shop where the owner is Thai or Chinese, they'll know what "real gold" is. Most people from America think Thai gold is fake because they are used to seeing rings/necklaces made out of 14K, 18K, or even 10K, not the 23K gold out here in Thailand. 😎🙌

I would not take it out of Thailand as you that may be a problem but if you are leaving just sell before you go .
Great video, wanted to clarify though; since precious metals are generally measured in troy ounces, one baht = 0.47 troy ounces. A troy ounce is 31.1 g rather than 28.4
I took some of my Thai gold to a place that buys gold in the United States and had no problem selling it. The buyer told me that they go by the rates of KITCO gold live. So whatever the price is that day thats what they pay. Right now its $1924 an ounce.
There is no premium and when you sell back you could get the full price, for example, you pay 10,500 and you sell back it would give 10,400 from the store to you, there is NOT REALLY a premium unless you consider 100b to be a premium

Most bullion shops in countries like the US and Australia have electronic XRF analysers that accurately measure the purity of gold. One that I used to deal with regularly would measure a piece of gold jewellery and instantly determine the purity and then using the weight and purity pay close to spot price of the equivalent 99.99% content. By the way, many traditional gold coins such as the British Sovereign and South African Krugerrand are only 22 karat gold, lower purity than Thai Gold.
