@@MyWorldExperience You're welcome! I'm actually in the market for a used CRV and I wondered how a rooftop tent would look like. I stumbled upon your channel and I'm really enjoying your content so far! Consider me subscribed!
Very nice. You’ll enjoy it, CRVs are great cars and work well with the tents. Do be carful with the front window as it can leak into the front pillars and rust. In New Zealand my friend had one and everything about the car was perfect apart from that. Apparently it’s common in the car. Thank you so so much, John! I really really appreciate it.
Thank you so much Mick:) I’ve been trying to improve my skills one step at a time. Only problem is about a year ago I dropped my camera in a river. It survived for a while but now is starting to die on me haha Really appreciate you and thanks for the kind words!
Yeah, I did the East Cost in it but now travel in a Hilux with roof top tent (however, it’s a friends not mine). The CRV is what I could afford as a backpacker. So just look around for what will work best for you.
Any chance you could make a vid talking more about that CRV and the roof tent/ racks? There’s not much info out there about them specifically. Love the content btw glad I stumbled onto ur channel!
@@MyWorldExperience awesome thank you! Really just the crv model and the roof weight limits along with the racks/ rails. I’ve seen people on Reddit say how it’s not too ideal to put roof top tents on CRV’s as their roof limits aren’t too crazy, but yet here you are! Just got my 06 CRV couple days ago but there’s just not enough content out there covering roof tents and such. Keep it up dude love what you’re doing!
@@MyWorldExperience thanks!! Not anytime soon tbh, gotta save up a little more dough 🥲 right now I’m just getting small interior cosmetics/ protection products like all weather floor mats, hood protectors, window visors, etc. next I’m looking to do some upgrades to the compressor, shocks, ball joints, basically things to prolong the mileage. She’s stuck with me for the long run 😉
Hi, how about the max roof weight of 40kg, I see a lot of cars with 60-80kg, so the 40kg for the CR-V seems quite low. Altough the gen 1 en later gens also have a weight of 60-80kg. Did you have any problems with the weight on your CR-V roof?
Great video, it's nice to see other people sharing the same passion, on the Honda CRV! I also have a youtube channel on which I'm preparing my Honda CRV, it's in French so you might not understand anything 😂 Good continuation with your CRV !
Dune nomad rooftop tent it’s the 120cm model. Which is fine for two people. It’s from Anaconda there low in stock so look around at different stores and always keep your eyes open for sales.
Hahahaha I looked for bugs before I rolled but what I forgot about was all the little spikes on the ground. Still trying to get them out of my clothes!
Greetings all the way from Chicago, IL. Your video was unlike any other car tent videos I've seen. Great video!
Thank you for this, John! And thanks for sharing where you are:) very cool to hear where this video is reaching! Are you rooftop tenting?

I've been hugely enjoying your travel vignettes. Very cinematic with a great narrative. Well done.

Love the little montage of the tent setup in the beginning, music choice is perfect as always!
Can't wait for next week!
Daww thank you! I had so much fun making that little bit. I had to film a couple of times because I was giggling like a little kid with that idea haha
@@MyWorldExperience haha! Am glad you are enjoying yourself!
Meee tooo hahaha
Hi thank you enjoyed the video
Daww thank you for letting me know. I’m really glad. Happy camping!
Hello, I'm going to Australia next year on the WHV 417 from Canada. Did you live and travel Australia in the Honda CRV with the roof top tent?

I would be more than happy to. Anything specific you’d like to know more about?
And thank you so much:) I really appreciate it!

@@kevindiazzzz sounds like you’ve got some fun projects ahead of you!
Cool 😮
Thanks!
@@MyWorldExperience no Problem
What camera you use and which software for editing. Great videos btw
This was shot with a Sony a7iii but I now use the Sony A7siii and I use Final Cut Pro. Thanks!
@@MyWorldExperience thanks😄and which lens do you use?
Oh I switch it up, can’t remember what I was using here
Aramac bakery has the best pies and sausage rolls in central QLD.
That’s good to know!!! Thanks haha I’ll have to check them out.
Tumble weed, love it!
😂 one of my favourite things to watch. Good old tumble weed!

That’s so exciting haha yeah unfortunately I don’t speak French but I’m sure you’re doing a very cool job!
What’s the name of that campsite? Looks really nice.
It’s called ‘platypus bush camp’ it’s about an hour outside of Mackay in Queensland.
What's the tent model?
Dune nomad rooftop tent it’s the 120cm model. Which is fine for two people. It’s from Anaconda there low in stock so look around at different stores and always keep your eyes open for sales.
You always make the silliest videos. How do you come up with that shit 😂
Hahaha they just come to me. I quite like coming up with strange little stories!
Drink lots of water and stay cool. Heat stroke is not fun and quite dangerous
Always have a letter of water with me so I don’t drop dead. But there have been sometimes I’ve run low and that’s not fun.
I liked the rack
Fuck after a a few seconds of this video I was really hoping you’d parked under a gumtree on a windy day .
Haha that’s probably the best idea ever
LOL I can’t believe you rolled across the ground like tumble weed. I would have been scared of Australian bugs.
Hahahaha I looked for bugs before I rolled but what I forgot about was all the little spikes on the ground. Still trying to get them out of my clothes!
